I added Vendel to the Developers list of games on page 5. They have 6 games and I have all of them already, so nothing for me in the 1/2 off developer sale.
It looks like 2 SE games came out to use up your pcc's.
Queen's Quest: Tower of Darkness is a SE with extras. 4 different Collectibles, morphing in the HO scenes and achievements and a bonus chapter. I d/l it and it looks to be a quality game. The dev is Brave Giant Games and they had 1 game previously which is Demon Hunter: Chronicles From Beyond. I guess it gets a little HOG heavy later in game according to reviews, but since the Dev (Boris) came to the forum yesterday which shows me that they care about their game, I'm going to get it on Monday.
Today's TGT is Mystery Castle: The Mirror's Secret and according to Valdy has 50 morphing objects. Not bad for a SE game.

If anyone's interested, I posted a full review of this game on 14 August in my review thread, after having played it 12-13 August. I played the PE at GameHouse and then got it with an expiring PCC there. It sounds like the SE at BFG is exactly the same as the PE at GameHouse. It's review #26, on the last page.
I really liked it. It wasn't brilliant as the story and gameplay were too simple and it just didn't have the WOW factor. However, it has some challenging puzzles and morphs in the HOPs, as well as 4 sets of collectibles (one lot in each section in the game), and I thought it was fun enough to get the game with an expiring PCC. I really liked the HOPs, all of which had several interactive objects and several morphing objects, and the minigames, most of which were original, some were easy and some were real head scratchers but all were doable with patience. It's also a very long game. I definitely recommend it as an SE.

I bought two Grim Tales in the sale, Bloody Mary and The Vengance. So I thought I should maybe play some of the Grim Tales that I already own, so I started with The Legacy, really good reviews. I immediately remembered that I don't really care for Grim Tales I'm the same with Mystery Trackers, I finally quit buying them even though everyone raves. I really don't care for a lot of Elephant games, but I do love the Christmas Stories series and there's some other series I like, but there's several of their series I really have to quit buying. The Grim Tales, it's so hard to see what stuff is in the HOs. I've got my nose to the screen and I still can't tell what's there. It's weird, it's like some things have really sharp edges and others are blurred together. The map is nice, it has a list of all the tasks that are open in the location, a picture, and you can jump. The puzzles are haaaaard. I've actually been skipping some of them. I had to get out pen and paper for another. But the story is almost nonexistant, and that's my favorite part of the game. We came for our nephews christening but nobody is there. So we break in and start pilllaging the house. Whenever you go somewhere and they're not home, isn't that what you do? I had to find some cell phones in the HOs, why don't we try calling sis? And now we're seeing werewolves, but since I haven't really met any of you people or got interested in your non-existant story, I just don't care anymore. Be werewolves or not, get the kid christened or make him king of the werewolves, I just...don't...care.
So I put it on easy mode and I'm hinting my way through the HOs and enjoying the map and tearing my hair out over the puzzles. I still have The Wishes unplayed, plus the two I just bought. At least I'll knock one off the list.

I had wanted to quote something really dumb the game said but couldn't remember anything. When I just went back and started playing again, I found a vise. As I zoomed into it, the black bar tip said, "A fountain pen would crack in a second". I don't have a fountain pen in my inventory and no reason yet to be cracking one even if I had one in my possession. I just hate when games do that, but this one is really bad.

Too bad you aren't liking it Wendy. I loved The Bride and The Legacy. I can remember one puzzle in particular I worked at for hours spread over two days. I wasn't going to let it defeat me. My problem was I had it in my head that it could be solved a certain way, I couldn't have been more wrong. But like pavlovs dog I kept trying to doing it the same way in several roundabout ways! Lol. Now the later ones have not thrilled me. I don't think I have the new one and have yet to look at BFG today re the sale. I'm a little cash poor. I dropped 130 bucks at the dentist today. And that was just me reg 6 month clean!

I finished the main game of Dark Canvas: Blood and Stone Collector's Edition. Still need to play the bonus chapter.
You play as an investigative journalist and the story is very much a who done it. No supernatural stuff, no traveling through portal to battle witches, werewolfs, demented puppets, or what have you.
It takes place in Greece and it's a pretty looking game, not dark and dreary. There's two kind of hidden object scenes: the interactive junk piles, and some objects are very cleverly hidden, and the progressive silhouettes. The hidden object scenes get reused, but that doesn't bother me as long as you don't have to do the same one again immediately after finishing it.
Puzzles were a mixed bag, some very easy, some very difficult. Ther were a few too many of the move this and three other things move type of puzzles. There's collectibles, achievemnts, and morphs. They carry over to the bonus chapter, so I'm not sure how I'm doing in that regard.
I'm just pleased that it's only the 8th and I have almost finished the second game for the month.

There's another soft release today, Gizmos Riddle of the Universe. It's a nanogram game, I read it starts with 10x10 boards but the screenshots showed a 25x25.

That's a 30x30 board! Oh dear, oh dear. I was hoping not to buy anything this month. But I have a feeling this game will be calling to me on Monday.

My daughter and granddaughter are on a extended visit with me. So we got into the habit of playing Puppetshow: Return to Joyville together at night. So in the morning I have been doing demos. Today's game League of Light: Wicked Harvest is fantastic after a 30 minute demo. I absolutely love the little helper. He is so super cute and adorable and I usually don't gush over helpers, but he is a real must see. The setting in Wicked Harvest is just perfect for this time of year. I'm thinking the CE for this one and since I already spent my 2 credits this month, I hope that there is a sale this weekend.
