Post away Wendy!  I'm quite enjoying reading your observations and happenings.

stusue -- Good to hear from you.  Hope you feel better.

Wemdy -- I'm enjoying your posts too.

September was a fairly good month:  bought 5 games, finished 3.  Okay I'm still behind but that's a better ratio than I've had for a bunch of months!  I actually enjoyed SHAOLIN MYSTERIES: TALES OF THE JADE DRAGON STAFF.  It wasn't a creeepy insane asylum but it wasn't quite a fairy tale either.  No cutsie little helper, the story was interesting, the music was soothing, the art was well done and it was interesting to have something set in Asia.  At the end it said "to be continued" and there IS a 2nd game. I might be getting better at playing these games.  I don't need to use the WT quite as often, but towards the end they do seem to get harder.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've decided to give up MC and start playing the games I bought.  The developers seem to be releasing updates for MC geared toward people who play nothing but MC.  I'm no longer willing to devote so much time to this game and still feel like I'm falling behind.  I'll be gifting my inventory to Mila and Sandham.  It will take a long time, but they can look forward to nice presents every day.

I'd rather play AK and write my silly little diary.

I'm going to start Manor Memoirs Collector's Edition today.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I remember really liking Shaolin Mysteries.  I know I bought the second, Terracotta Warriors I think it is, but of course haven't played it yet.
I quit Mystery Castle quite a bit ago.  I hated all the stupid names for stuff and having to get 5 things from the same place.   I tried a bit of the ERS Edgar Allan Poe one yesterday, the items were a bit hard to find, and you have to buy hints.
I just finished another level in Adelentado.  Still not enjoying it but I figure I'll do a level every now and then and be done with it tomorrow, probably.  I only have 4 levels to go and there's something called "Conclusion", don't know if it's a level or just an ending to the game.  Figure I'll go slog through some more of Love Chronicles and then back to Adelantado.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Wow Tirama!  You seem so heavily invesed in MC.  I gave it up a very long time ago when it was basically the same 4 HOS (I did get to several more) and it just seemed boring to me.  I can see where it could be a full time job from posts I've read about it.

Wendy -- I have TERRACOTTA WARRIORS too.  I don't know if it would help to play that one right now or try something easier.

I had reached the point where there were so many  hidden object scenes, I couldn't search them all before the first one would recharge again.  And searching them all is the best way to accumulate coins and inventory.  The storyline is all over the place and I'm not even sure why my character is doing the quests.

I so much prefer AK, where I know why I'm doing things and I have the overall goal of restoring the kingdom.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I bought 15 this month and finished 6. I am almost done Top Secret Finders but I haven't been playing before bed the last 3-4 nights or I would've been done.  I am wrung  out lately.  My husband finally moved out, hallelujah, and the past 1.5yrs have take a bit of a toll on me.  I think I have been so relieved this last week that I've been spent, early to bed and up early.  I mean to bed by midnight instead of 2am! It's been very relaxing.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I bought 3 this month but couldn't download any of them.
I finished
Creepy Tales, or most of it before it crashed
Cadenza
Forbidden Town Alien Secrets
Adelentado, by tomorrow, maybe tonight
Love Chronicles Sword and Rose, by tomorrow

It sure seems like I've finished more games, but September is my busiest month work wise so maybe not.

Oscar you sound a bit like me, and I usually get keys from Tirama at midnight so I know she stays up pretty late.  It's hard for me to sleep more than 5 or 6 hours a night.  The computer keeps me awake, when I get home with hubby and he wants to watch TV I'm usually zonked out within a half hour.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Wendy, I'd send you keys earlier in the day but none of your three games are asking for them most times I check.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I just meant you were a night owl, too, Tirama.  When I was really hooked on BFG I'd stay up until 3am est when the TGT came out.  Don't know why, cause I was too sleepy to demo it.
I finished Adelantado  I was playing easy mode so it didn't matter if the timer ran out, I just didn't get gold.  I only got gold an the first couple levels, I didn't llike it enough to want to improve my score.  The "Conclusion" is only available for "Experts" so I didn't have to do it.  There is a bit of strategy involved if you're trying for gold, but I'll pass.  Now I have to get Love Chronicles done.  Gonna have to play a 'dessert' game next.
