Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I just read on the forum something about MC and AK. and I think it's stupid !
The only thing "they" have to change is the red X on crafting wheel. The oter things- if you don't whant to pay - don't. I'm on 44, close to end this update and never spend the real many. I simply play hos- over and over again - boring-YES, but  I like this game and I hope they will add something challenging in next update. AK is great just I hope that I wont lose it again.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I wish when the Bow Figurine was changed, that the devs made the adjustments to the sale value of the objects at the same time.  We wouldn't have half as much wailing in the forum.  As for the carrying on about unique stamps, people pointed out at the time of the bow figurine that using them to craft for coins could very well backfire.  But people continue to do it.

I was glad Bedazzled started her thread, because she's one of the people who is among the first to finish and she's not a complainer.  But what some people need to understand is that if they started way after somebody who also has the time and teh desire to play 12+ hours, they can not catch up with that person.  It's physically impossible, so just play at your own pace and stop looking for short cuts.  And don't get me started about people who complain about having to play hidden object scenes in hidden object games.

Tirama,  thanks for the reality check.  You  &  Mila seem to like  AK;  maybe I should try it again.  I have 85,000 coins now.  I find the least boring way to do the hos is to click on items to a cheery little tune with a beat,  like  Mozart's Requiem.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I kind of like the music that plays in MC in the Ho scenes.  I rarely do a complete circuit of HO's when I play and try to play them in a differnt order each time to make it less boring.  The story is all over the place.  Every time I turn around they introduce more characters and yet another love triangle or a surprise guess who's related to whom twist.  The character we play is either a doormat who will do anything for anybody, or very machiavellian, helping one faction and then the other, but to what purpose?

AK has its own issues.  You level up quickly in the beginning, but it takes more and more energy and more and more experience points the further you go.  You're not guaranteed of getting your quest item from the HO scene.  I've notice that those who complain about one particular free to play game usually eventually complain about any others they play.   Unless you spend money, you can't play this game 12+ hours, like MC.

I like AK because I can get snarky about some of the quests and I enjoy weaving my own story about the characters. The music is more varied.  Different HO scenes have different music.

I think the key to enjoying these games is to take your time, enjoy the artwork, don't compare your progress with anybody else's.  Nobody is handing out prizes for finishing first.  When you feel like you can't play another HO scene, don't.  Take a break, play something else.  I've been playing nonogram games to exercise a different part of my brain, and I just finished a solitaire game.

Just don't take all the reigning stars.  I still need one.  And at some point I hope to get 2 more worms.

In MC, I need 2 trips t the blood lotus.  Sold all my Steam Mechanisms and down to 5,000 coins.  Only have that many because friend who is quitting gfted me a Holy Hand so didn't need to spend coins crafting one.  I need to get to a tiara or steam mechanism quest soon so I can make some money.

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not, but there actually are parts of Mozart's Requiem that are quite cheerful!  Several years ago when I was at a convention I went to a(n upscale) diner for breakfast and the Requiem was playing.  When I got back to the convention someone asked me what I'd done.  I told her about the food (great!) and that the Requiem was playing.  She just gave me an odd look and said she had to be somewhere. LOL

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I'm working on an quest that requires two immortal treasure, to open the chest, and when I summoned the two, I opened the EGG..
I think that with the MC, better suited Maurice Ravel - Bolero. You start your circle working HOS, and at the peak - open the egg.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I think Bolero would have been excellent for opening the old Bow Figurine - at the end, you need to slump across your keyboard, like Torvill and Dean on the ice.

I've completed 1265 quests.  Had worked my coins up to 8,000 and then had to open the Paper Lantern.

The only quest I have open is for the Quivering Face.  There's still another quest from Lillian (which will probably require crafting) before I can return to the crow and get more quests, so I'm just going to spend today gathering coins.
