Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

While looking through my BFG purchase history I noticed what I had spent this year, $13.98 on 2 GCCs.  I managed to acquire 43 SE games plus 3 CEs.   I don't know how it's possible, but it's there in black and white in my purchase history.  Well,  I guess it's possible because of the good ole Bonus Punch Mondays back when we got the double punches for PCCs.  I miss the good ole days.  I still have 9 GCCs left, plus another one when I rejoin later this month.  But this month I will acquire one more SE and one CE along with the SE I already got this month, and the GCC will be saved for a future BOGO, so it will get 2 SEs eventually.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I finished Crime Solitaire 2 in story mode.  As the credits roll, the audio is outakes/flubs of the story's dialogue.

There's also a challenge mode, where you have to meet certain criteria, such as earn a set amount of money, have so many 10-card runs, etc.  I only played the furst level of this mode, but it appears you get up to 4 chances to play the same level and the amounts are cumulative.

I liked this game.  The storyline was good and the voice overs were excellent.  If you like the up-and-down "golf" solitaire games, you should enjoy this game.  I usually don't like the gimmicks of power ups for card games, but without them it would be impossible to clear most levels, and there is a degree of skills in choosing which power ups to buy and when to use them.

I get almost physically sick to my stomach when I have to play the Fungus Hut, but yet I play a golf solitaire game on my tablet before I go to sleep every night

I don't like the Fungus Hut game either.  I think it might be because the cards are so small.  But I liked Crime Solitaire.  I like it better than the original Fairway game, but it's very similar in concept.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I played New York Mysteries Secrets of the Mafia which was ok, and started Top Secret Finders which is quite a nice game.

I'm definitely going to look at Crime Solitaire.  I did love and still play the original Fairway.  I have 2 PCCs to use tomorrow and need to finish off my card.  Maybe Crime Solitaire will be one of them.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I need an SE today and a CE next Monday.  There are lots of games that sound good, so I won't have any problems picking the SE, but what game is the best, most CE worthy game that came out over the summer?
Nevertales?
Rite of Passage?
Nightmares of the Deep Davy Jones?
something else that I don't remember?

I'd be interested in the answer to your question, too, Wedndy.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I really wanted Fright as a CE so I paired it up with Rite of Passage: Hide & Seek CE.  It took me a long time to find another game that I thought was worthy of CE status and since I haven't played Rite of Passage yet I don't know if my choice was good or not.

I did play Fright CE and while I did enjoy the bonus & extras.  I know that the SE would have been just as acceptable.  The bonus was pretty good & decent size (maybe a little over a hour).  The extras were collecting 34 $1.00 bills and spending them in the gift shop.  8 - 30 pc. jigsaw puzzles and buying accessories to dress up the scarecrow.

I had 2 CS CE coupons so far this year and I used them on:
Awakening: The Redleaf Forest
Off the Record: The Italian Affair
Haven't played either yet so don't know if I used my coupons wisely.

Nonogram lovers - there's a new Arizona Rose game as tomorrow's game today.

I was going to wait until next Monday to fill my card, but now I'm tempted to get that game today.  I have some customer service coupons to use, so I would get the 2 punches I need to complete teh card.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Did you want to use the PCC you loaned me, Tirama?  I can always wait until next Monday, or later today if you have another to use with it for your 2 punches instead of the Customer Service Coupon.  I haven't used  yours yet.
