Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Hmm maybe I should have replayed the AK games as well, I am currently playing Redleaf Forest.  It's good, lots to do.  I  chose to play on the Dreadmyre level so I am doing some wandering because the map has no indicators.  And I keep forgetting about my dragon and go wandering off looking for matches and knives when he can just blast away.

Tirama - I love the quotes from Criminal Solitaire. How'd you like the new Fantasy Mosaics?  I have dl'd it to try.  I wish I could play it on the IPad but I think it will still have the issue of not being able to "x" out the squares you don't want.  So frustrating as I love playing these watching TV.  I have played the 5 games I have to death.  They are on rotation, finish all, delete, reinstall the next.

Wendy - Thanks for the heads up.  I loved this game so I am definitely dling the CE version.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I like the Fantasy Mosaics.  The colors are very vibrant and the music isn't annoying.  Most of the puzzles aren't too difficult, there's a handful that I couldn't solve without using hints.

I like the concept of having each color be a different board.  Wish they would have used 4 colors instead of 3, and had the locked keys that World Mosiacs Chroma has.  I used a pcc to get the game, so I have no complaints.

Thanks Wendy about the Game Giveaway.  I also have the SE but not played yet so really surprised it was the CE which I just finished DL'g.  Played just a bit to see if it worked and everything DL'd OK!

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Oscar, I keep doing the same thing, forgetting about the pocket dragon.  Then when I do remember to use him, it's ;on something the game says he can't do!
I haven't played much of anything the last few days.  I started watching Netflix cause of the free wifi.  I've got most of the 6th season of Weeds watched.  I just love that show.  I think it's the only season they have, and in a case of perfect timing, I have watched the first 5 seasons, so this is the season I wanted.  Haven't checked to see if they have Dexter, that's my other favvorite.
Oh, Dreamscapes has several different screensavers, I love the last one, it has the Gremlin type animal and it's a fun screensaver, I had it on forever, then it got taken off somehow, now I've got it on my new laptop.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I finally finished a game!  NORTHERN TALE 3.  I do like these games but this one took me a very long time.  I started it back in August.  I finished the game fairly quickly but have been replaying levels over and over to get all the Achievements.  Finally hired my last Viking yesterday!

oscar -  don't know if I mentioned it, but there are voice overs in Crime Solitaire 2 that match up perfectly with the quotes.  Anybody who enjoys the golf-type solitaire games should give this game a try.

Tomorrow's Game Today is 9 Elefants.  Stusue has written a demo review of this game.  It sounds like an excellent candidate for a group play.  I'm planning on getting this with a PCC next Monday.

I was looking at 9 elefants. Stusue said in her review it reminded her of City of Fools and I really liked City of Fools. On that basis alone I at least one to demo it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I finished Cadenza.  I took so long to play it, though, that I was just going through the motions at the end cause I didn't remember what I was doing or where I had to go to do it.  Wonderful game.  When I first started playing it I was wishing I had the CE but by the time I got to the end I was ready for it to be over and glad I only had the SE.  I don't know what extras the CE has, but the only thing I would have wanted was the music.  This game didn't need collectables.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I had gotten stuck while playing Creepy Tales Lost in Vasel Land.  I backed out of a puzzle to look at the walkthru because I didn't understand what I had to do, and when I came back the puzzle had disappeared.  There was also a safe that wouldn't give me a close-up so I could use my key.  In the forums there were a couple other people with the same exact 2 problems.  I wrote to CS and they sent me a code good for either SE or CE, expiring on Sunday Oct. 5th.  Gee, wonder if I'll get a CE or SE?  I'm sure I bought the game in a BOGO, too, and I was almost to the end and not particularly enjoying it, so it sure worked out well.  Now I have to decide what CE to get, and I need some help on that, not having demoed anything all summer, and I have to decide if I want to rejoin to get the punches.  If I do rejoin I have to decide if I want to do it this month so I can use it on a Monday, and hope I can find a  Monday DD before the end of the month, or I can wait until early October, but I would have to use it before a Monday, so only 3 punches, then I would have to figure out how to get 3 more.  I have to rejoin anyway by early November to keep my GCCs alive.    HELP
ETA:  I already have a punch on my card, so using this on a Monday would give me 5 punches.  Then I would only have to borrow a PCC and use it on a Monday to fill a card.
