Here's a quote from an article about real estate, dated Augu 17.
Big Fish Games decided to expand within the five-story Elliott Avenue West building it leases on Lower Queen Anne. A high-rise space downtown wasn’t attractive, said Evan Cottingham, its global real estate and facilities director.Being in a giant building with other companies “of which you’re a little piece, was not a direction Big Fish wanted to go because it didn’t give us a sense of self,” he said.
The sky isn't falling. Your games are safe.
Game developers want to get in on the money that can be made by developing aps for mobile devices. This isn't just a BFG thing. Look at Gamezebo and see how many of their articles are about games for mobile devices vs desktops/laptops. There are developers who program first for downloads and then port to the mobiles, and vice versa. It a great way for them to keep the prices down by offering the same game for different media.
Also, go to google news and type in (using quotes) "Big Fish Games". Just about all the hits are for mobile game aps. Some games just play better on hand-held devices and others (like HOGS and HOPAS) are better on desktops/laptops.
When TV was invented, people predicted the movies industry would collapse. But now we have TV, movies, dvd's, streaming.

Finally decided to take a break today and just play a game. I just finished 9 Clues : The Secret of Serpent Creek. Ok not an amazing game but it was not bad. Jump map , which seems to be necessary for me now. Did seem to have quite a few HOG scenes but not too many. Best thing about them, if you had to play the same scened twice, the stuff you picked up the first time was still gone.
It was not a hard game at all. I did have to use the skip once though. Lots of snakes but it is Serpent Creek after all.

I just finished World Riddles: Animals. I have been working on getting the gold for a month now. Off and on. The biggest grid is 20 x 20 and the last two continents were the hardest. I am worn out on it.
Tirama...Thanks for posting that article that you found. I wish that they would stop wasting money. First the new forums were a big flop and now to find the streaming is a big flop. I am not going to say another word about it now and just concentrate on playing my games. I did find it funny that the Big Fish Casino forum is completely gone now.

And the rating stars are gone, too. I'm guessing BFG knows it would get bad ratings from download customers right now based on what was written on the game forums before those reviews and comments were erased.

Paul Thelen is a risk taker. If he wasn't, he wouldn't had left Real Arcade to start his own company. He's going to try new things, and some of them will work, and some of them won't.
I just hate to see people all upset and thinking their games will have disappeared by the time they get up tomorrow.
Didn't somebody post that they did 47 or 57 BFG betas? There's more games coming. I fully expect that we'll be around to debate whether we should get the 12th Puppet Show game.

Tirama, you're so funny and thank you for being so level headed (I bolded the line that made me chuckle). I think a lot of us just get antsy when we see things happening all at once and this involves a lot of money and trust.
I did the beta I got for Sable Maze: Norwich Caves and really liked it. It flowed pretty easily for me so think it might do well. Then I decided to do the Madame Fate one from Pond Friends. I loved Madame Fate and I was hoping I would fall in love with this one too, but not sure. It was kinda all over the place for me and I found myself hitting the hint button a couple of times. I did manage to do two of the intricate puzzles without a hint and I liked those. I had to quit playing because I didn't know if it would just continue on or end quickly and I was getting tired of guessing what to do next. I'm gamed out for now so think I will go watch my baseball team and do a little X-stitch until I get sleepy.

I've finished the first 3 chapter of Chimeras: Tune of Revenge Collector's Edition.
I'm going to play some Jigsaws Galore while I listen to some drams on BBC 4 Extra.

I set BBC4 up on my IPad. I'm a big fan of old radio shows. I have an Internet site I dl from and burn CDs for in the car. Love theatre of the mind. So there is things n BBC I find appealing. Thank you.
i finished the main part of Mystery Trackers last night. I really enjoyed the game and look forward to the bonus and mystery room. There was a good mix of interactive HO scenes and puzzles plus inventory use. Very good voice work and lovely graphics and of course Elf to help out. And ya I did buy and play with his family in the store.

Midnight mysteries: Haunted Houdini is the DD today. I remember I didn´t like it enough to buy it back then , but for 2.99...
But it messes up my punch card
Is it worth it

I finished Midnight Mysteries: Haunted Houdini. I remember enjoying it but can't remember the details now. I know wht you mean about DDs messing up the punch card, I did that to myself last month. It just means that you have to find another DD to equal things up. Perhaps someone else who has finished the game can give you more details about whether it is worth buying....sorry I'm no help.
