I finished the bonus game for Brink of Consiousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome yesterday. It wasn't necessary to the main game, but it did have a little twist at the end that I was glad that I played it. Wendy - Yes, the main game did seem like it had 60 rooms in it. Lol Room after room kept opening up. What a great game and just the thing to take a break from fantasy other worldly games.
Speaking of fantasy games... I started playing a good one called Mind Snares: Alice's Journey. Story is pretty good. Different than usual. Game has achievements in it and when I looked to check them out game got stuck and had to CAD out of it. Happened to me twice now. Puzzles aren't bad and game play got momentarily stuck a few times, but haven't needed to hit the hint button yet.
For BPM with my one pcc I was thinking of getting Dead Reckoning: Silvermoon Isle. After checking out 7 titles this one looked like it had a good story. Besides I like whodunits and being a detective.

The hotel was actually in Palo Alto, Ca not SF. I used to work in Los Altos Hills (super rich area) at a school as a teacher for childcare through the YMCA when I was 19! We had an end of the year awards dinner thing there and I remembered it being beautiful and I always wanted the chance to stay there but I didn't want to stay with just anyone you know. Its called Dinah's Garden Hotel. Its been there since 1950s and the daughter of the owners who started it, is making it modern for the 21st century guests but there is lots of character like vaulted ceilings in the rooms among other things that makes it nicer than the usual fare. We stayed in the Lanai room which had a fireplace, lagoon views, fountain features outside which had ducks and it was just gorgeous.
The website is www.dinahshotel.com
Under accomodations it comes up with a pic and description of each room. The first one it shows on the top looks exactly like the one we stayed in and I was a happy customer. A dream come true
In Mendocino, we stayed at the Maccullum House in their suite area but the whole thing has been there since 1882 and its a historical landmark and it was a great treat too

sunshine, I LOVED dorian gray. It blew my mind when I played it years ago. By the end though I remember wishing the guy would just shut up but I still loved it anyways. The 2nd one, the broken hearts killer? I think it is...was very good too. It got lots of complaints for being too much dialogue but the voiceovers were sooo nicely done that I didn't mind all the talking. Detective games need talking! It was like sherlock holmes games. I really enjoyed it but I only bought the SE of that one because it didn't really have any collectibles and it had a solid ending without the bonus stuff.

Thanks meg. I'll habve to check out those hotels.
I've got both BRINK OF CONSCIOUSNESS games. From what everyone has said I'm looking forward to them.
And of course I bought DEAD RECKONING CE today. They code still worked.

stusue...Will you be entering the contest? I used my pcc yesterday for Dead Reckoning. I have nearly all of Eipix games and the only one I played is Fearful Tales: Hansel & Gretel. I enjoyed playing it and all, but couldn't really say in a entry why it was my favorite. And since I haven't played any of their other games, I don't even know if it is my favorite or not.
meg...Oh good, I have the second Brink of Consciousness as a SE as well. I will be looking forward to playing it. I don't mind if a game has lots of dialogue if it calls for it. I find it helps to flesh out the story more.
A rare occurance today. I was able to leave a review for the TGT on opening day. By the time I get around to finishing a game the game is months or even years old, So most times I don't bother with writing a review. Not today though, I already played Alice: Behind the Mirror with my Gamehouse funpass last January. I wrote that it wasn't for everyone, but I found it fun and charming. The game is HOS heavy and lasts about 3 1/2 hours.

Now I´m back again
We have been home for a week now, but I´ve been working every day...
Our vacation was fantastic and I didn´t want to go home at all. We absolutely loved Puerto Mogan and already planning to go back next year (if we have the money, we will start saving now). The apartment was very nice and even had an AC! and the beach was only 5 minutes walk away. We prefer the beach before the pool (the water is more cold in the pool).
Regarding games: the only game that I have finished is Fantasy Mosaics 3. I´m on level 53 on FarmUp, I still have the Valentine´s version and refuse to update before I reach level 55. I have been quite obsessed by SolSuite 2014. I bought it on a sale (only $4.99) and am going through every patience and marking my favorites

I entered the contest, thanks for the head's up, Stusue. I have one bar of internet here, it will probably go away when we get more people here. I'm in the Berkshires of western Massachuesetts, in the middle of nowhere. Closest store is over 20 miles away, except for this weird one, all touristy, sells candles and weird stuff and has bizzaro groceries. It's a tiny gas station and it sells venison and buffalo meat And Irish cheese. Veggies are marked with the farm they came from, that's cool.
Lot's of breakdowns on the way, and it was less than 150 miles. When I rolled down my window pulling up to the tollbooth I could hear a terrible noise, the front end of my muffler was dragging on the ground. Of course I was in the far left lane, 8, and I needed to cut across the other 7 lanes to get to the pull off area on the right. Very slowly cause it was the front end of the muffler on the ground. Everybody was honking, well screw them, I wasn't doing it for fun, it was an emergency. Anyway, a couple of the trucker guys were a half hour behind me, eating in a truck stop, so I called them and by the time they got there it was cooled down, I grabbed some coat hangers out of my bunk, and they wired it up for me. While I was texting my buddy that it was getting fixed, he texted back that his boss's starter just died and they were spending the night in a parking lot. And the guy that helped me, his truck had cut out on him already, but it started back up after they let it sit a bit.
Since I have a little internet I can still play my FTPs but I'm also going to tackle a CE or two. First up is Surface The Soaring City. Does anyone have suggestions for a challenging M3? I started Hidden Wonders of the Deep 3 but so far it's all 'clearing the path' and I don't really like that style. Just regular M3 with chained up blocks and timers.

sunshinej -- Wow! I read those reviews and it seems as if that's a love it or hate it game. I'll have to try it. (MIND SNARES).
Anki -- Welcome back! I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation. The pool is colder? Wow!
Wendy -- So sorry for all the problems. But at least your guys could get the muffler fixed. I've been challenged by an M3 or two but you' d probably think they were child's play!

Anki...Glad you got to enjoy your vacation and had good weather and all.
Wendy...That's nice that you have people to count on when you are in a jam. Glad you were able to get to your next location.
lilyr...Alice: Behind the Mirror is the love it or hate it game. Mind Snares: Alice's Journey is my current game that I am playing and from the reviews most others seem to like it. I am really liking it and chapter 2 is becoming more difficult. No walkthrough and I hate to miss out on getting the achievement for using the hint button so going really slow.
Looking at today's 1/2 off developers sale I am missing...
Ominous Objects: Family Portraits
Dark Dimensions: Somber Song
Sable Maze: Forbidden Garden
Think I might get the first two and wait on Sable Maze: Forbidden Garden since it is not a SE yet and I can't get it for 3.49 price.
