Just fed Phoneix at Commercial District in TiramaSue2 game. Gold chest filled with nothing but coins!
Seal at Ice Rock brought back silver chest with 2 diamonds, blue stamp and coins.

mila - You had the Steam Mechanism on your wish list last night but now it's not there. I have had trouble gifting immediately after midnight (my time zone), so I wait until I've gone to sleep and get up before I do my gifting.

questions in 34 level, not demand spending coins (no crafting) then you better keep the steam mechanism for you to sell, because for crafting PACK TEETH you will need 5000 and if I need coins in future, you will see the steam mechanism in my wishlist.

Tirama, I'm so far behind you and Mila, but at last I'm catching on to a few thngs. I finally get what you mean by "Wait for a crafting quest to get credit for both quest and DQ." My current greedy gnome wants FIVE things crafted, so your belatedly understood tip is a real blessing. Also, thanks for the link to the strategy guide; didn't know there was one. AND, I had thought that if I have the steam mechanism on my list, I'd be able to craft them at will. Now I realize that, without a quest, the stubborn game refuses to give you the items you need. This is getting very complex! But I've finally opened the Cloud Kingdom.

Exactly. Which is why, when I found a quest that had something worth selling and/or crafting and selling, I decided to stay there and earn some coins. Any quest for anything from Six Paw - stay there, open SIx Paw and immdiately sell what you get. Repeat until you're happy with your bank account or can't stand it any more. Steam Mechanism is the only crafted item I'm willing to sell for coins because it only uses 1 blue stamp. ANd since the devs made a mistake and listed the wrong items to make the Steam Mechanism, a quest for the tiara of whatever it is allows you to get the parts for the steam mechanism.
You might also want to hold back on a quest that asks you to open an artifact chest if you know that the DQ is alos going to ask you to open the same chest. Helps make your resources go a lot further.
You might want to try feeding your pets in Cloud City. Some people believe that you will get gold chests more often when an area is first opened.
