Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

TiramaSue2 has finished 952 quests.  I have to craft the Book of Dancing Shadows.  Got everything I need but I'm waiting until tomorrow and hoping for a DQ that asks me to craft.  Down to 11,000 coins so maybe I'll find time today to complete some rounds of all the hidden object scenes.  Had a hedgehog egg on the wheel but didn't win it.

Brengaria has about 25,000 coins.  Still opening pirate flag and selling off Spawn of Darkness, while trying to craft things needed for upcoming quests.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

Tirama,  How do you accumulate so many coins?  I'm always running short.  As for selling stuff,  I don't have 100 of anything,  except food and stamps!  By the way, thanks for the tip about  Ancestor's Spirit. Very helpful when I need a quick cash influx. I don't have Steam Mechanism on my crafting list yet, even locked.

I've done about 840 quests.  Would have written yesterday,  but my temperamental
computer wouldn't let me post.  Really miffed that so many daily quests are impossible to complete
because the game refuses to give me an item.  I did break down and buy a few things,  mostly because it enabled me to get my 50th achievement.  Don't like using up my diamonds,  though.

I have several eggs,  but never the coins to hatch them.  I did hatch the Voracious Lemur,  and it is;
eats up 16 batches of food at a time!  And food takes so long to accumulate.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

sandham - I have a quest open for the Spawn of Darkness from the Pirate Flag.  It sells for 1030 coins.  So, instead of giving it the character ho wants it, I sell it.  That means that when I play the bar counter I'm guarenteed to get the Rune of Cruelty and when I play the Frozen Treasures, I will get the wreath of justice.  So aftr playing those scenes twice, I can again go to the pirate flag and get the spawn of darkness to sell.  I'm not getting any further in the game, but I'm getting coins as painlessly as I can.  I then play whatever scenes are necessary for the daily quest, which brings in a few more coins.  Only play dice if I have a DQ, and only spin wheel if I have a DQ.  If I'm not going to make it to the part of a DQ that wants me to spin wheel, I take my free spin.

I'm going to keep this Spawn of Darkness quest open for a week and then have a rethink.  I hope by that time, I'll have reached a good stopping place for the TiramaSue2 game to just play a few scenes to get coins.  Then I'll let Berengaria move forward again until I find another resting place.

Be careful when crafting for coins that you don't run your stamps down too much.  The game seems to know when you're desparate for something and then refuses to give it to you.  And no matter how tempted you are to sell those "extra" white stamps, don't.  They are being used more in crafting the items in the higher levels.

I've been selling off the crystal balls and wands, only keeping 5 of each for gifts.  And take the time to click on the morphing flowers.  That adds coins and sometimes diamonds.

I still have 3 eggs to hatch in Berengaria:  squirrel, hedgehog, and seal.  Need to hatch squirrel in TiramaSue2.  That game doesn't have seal or hedgehog eggs, don't get eggs very often on the wheel in that game and usually don't win them when I do.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

daily quests are impossible to complete for me to. For two days I need pole star, and I give up. I'll do the regular quest Find part works so I will rush to reach 34 and than I'll back to daily quest. still need 100 pet medallions for turtle and squirrel is in egg still.
I even find fun for what I am doing to get coins... and now is fun to, when I open quest and greedy person send me to do something for much more greedy person and funiest is that when they need two of the same object.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

I've had several days when I can't do any of the DQ.  I just spend that time playing whatever scenes I want to and getting coins.  I try to do the scenes in a different order each time so it doesn't seem so repetitive.

Mila - do you have more than one character's quest open at a time?  I'm tempted to see what the other characters want while I'm waiting for the chance to craft.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

sandham - with the dq's, do the ones that ask you to play hidden object scenes, but once you get to a part that wants you to open an artifact chest, ignore them.  Do this for about a week until you build up your inventory.  Then wait for a 10-parter before you open artifact chests.  The 10-parters give 100 coins for each part.

Put airship items on your wish list to build up your stock.  Friends usually are willing to part with those things.  I can gift anything but genie lamps, my games always have less genie lamps because just about every airship I send wants them.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

Tirama,  Youre just too smart for me.  Your machinations are too complex for my pea brain;  will just have to bumble along as best I can.  Oh,  I finally got a quest for the Steam Mechanism!

Thanks,  I have enough airship items at the moment;  I skipped sending a couple.

Mila,  I especially detest the quests in which 2 or 3 items I need all come from the same source.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

Both my games are now sitting on quests that will help me get lots of coins.  Lady Sabelle has updated the strategy guide, which is also helpful because I can see what's coming up next up and make an informed decision as to whether I have enough coins to get me to the next money making opportunity.

MIla, how are you doing for coins? Have you stopped at the Steam Mechanism to earn money or have you moved ahead?  If you get a chance, stop in ART and select a chest so i can send you keys.

Re: Midnight Castle by Elephant Games

You can't stop on a quest to accumulate things, but you can stop on a quest and sell off immediately what you get, so that you can get another to sell off., and another, and another.    That's what I'm doing in Berengaria, getting the Spawn of Darkness and then immediately selling it for coins.  So then I still need it and the game will give me what I need to open the Pirate Standard.

In TiramaSue2, I'm crafting the Steam Mechanism and saving them until I need coins, and also opening up Six Paw and selling the Power of Fear.  I opened up the other character and had to sell off some Steam Mechanisms to come up with the 15,000 coins needed to open up the next area.  But now I have some quests to work on while I continue to craft Steam Mechanisms.

I'm going to continue playing like this until Saturday night.  Then I'll decide whether to move on or continue what I'm doing.
