Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I got outbid on the stovepipe hat for my dq.  On several of them, by the same person.  I did bid a bit low, $300, when I would normally buyout for at least that and more, so really twas my own fault.  I need Zen fortune doll today.  I bid a couple thousand on one expiring in 3 hours then figured I'd hedge my bets, so I went to my other game and put one out for close to 5000 and bid on it.  I usually sell them for 3 so there's a good chance I wouldn't get the cheaper one I bid on, if I do I can always resell it.  I had golden hibiscus yesterday, I had to sell it to myself, no way I'm going to bid on that thing in auction.  I do like to try to get the DQs by bidding on other people's things, just to be actually playing the game, but when it's an expensive item I just auction it to myself.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I had to go look up and see what the golden hibiscus is.   I was just about to start deleting some friends when all of the sudden one of them who I was positive wasn't playing any more popped back in.  Another friend told me there might be an update coming fairly soon.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I had the Classic Red Wine glass yesterday.  Got it and immediately sold it for 1200 profit.  Today was easy:  Golden Rooster Coaster.  Only cost me 25 coins.

I'm going to dlete some "friends" next weekend.  They've had time enough to at least send 1 key in repayment for all the ones I've sent them.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My multiplier is stuck.  It's maxed out at 5 but it's stuck on day 1 of that week.  I can't get to the bundle.  I'm on day 85 all week.  I started doing the paintings on my second game, no hurry since there's nothing after that.

I had another easy DQ - Common Goose Feather.  Waiting for my final building to finish customizing.  Saving up to buy those expensive doors for the antique shop.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I had the silver lazy susan and I was surprised that I got it so cheaply!  I was all set to delete a couple of players and then they started up again!  And gave me keys! And notes!

Wendy -- sorry your gift thingy is stuck -- especially if you can't get to the bundle!

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've got a bunch that are going, going, gone.  I've sent them keys at least once a week, usually more often.  After 6 weeks, if they haven't sent me keys, it ain't going to happen.  I don't expect the same number of keys, but surely they could send 1.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Through no fault of my own I finally fell victim to the dreaded "bought the DQ but didn't get ctredit for it" issue.  I had the Siberian Prince and bid way too much.  Then at 6 PM Friday we lost power.  Got that back at 7:30PM but cable took 14 hours!  I had the message that I'd won the Prince but the DQ had expired.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm calling my personal challenge done.  Only item I'm missing is the Korean War Service Medal.  I still have a profit of over 97,000 coins in addition to the 299 items to sell (not bad for starting with 250 coins), so I could win one at the inflated prices (even for an item not in circulation) being asked, but I might not be able to sell it.

Tonight I'll start selling off the 299 collectibles and see what my total profit is.
