Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I finally picked out games to use my expiring pcc's on.  I got:

A Series of Unfortunate Events  (It's similar to Inspector Parker)
The Ultimate Easter Puzzler (putting this one away until next year)
Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile
Fill and Cross Pirate Riddles  (I'm going to have to play this one with the sound off)

I fell today (went flying when I stepped on one of Tiffany's rawhide sticks) and I'm all bruised and sore.  Wasn't really in the mood to demo games or do much of anything.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I got a couple of SEs, CLUTTER 2 & the EMERLAND SOLITAIRE game.

So sorry about the fall.  Hope you'll feel better after a good night's sleep.

Tirama, so sorry about your fall.    Ouch!    I sure hope you feel better soon, but I suppose it may get worse before it gets better as you're often stiff the day following such a bad fall.

I only needed one SE yesterday to fill a card and I'd been hoping Reflections of Life: Tree of Dreams SE came out in time for yesterday's BPM ... and it did!    So I got that and filled a card with my last PCC expiring this month.  I didn't want to have to worry about filling a card while I'm travelling and then recovering in Sydney.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

There are a whole heap of sequels out as betas, if anyone likes these series ...

Elephant Games has 3  (with some comments found at PondFriends):

Christmas Stories 3: Hans Christian Anderson's Tin Soldier
    -    HO's are now not only lists, they look like they're "borrowed" from Mad Head Games.

Haunted Hotel 7: Death Sentence
    -    2 betas for this game - 1 has an alternative tutorial
    -    The most "haunted" hotel from Elephant Games, better than I expected.

Grim Tales 7: The Colour of Fright
    -    Introduces widescreen scrolling feature - I love this feature!!!!

Boomzap has 1:

Murder in Romania: A Dana Knightstone Novel 5

Also:

9 Clues 2: The Ward

And I was sent the beta for another sequel:

Revived Legends 2: Titan's Revenge

These are some BFG prepared betas that haven't been released yet:

Whispered Secrets 3: Into the Wind
Frankenstein: Master of the Death PBETA
Red Thread of Fate PBETA
Taken Souls: Blood Ritual PBETA
Midnight Mysteries 6: Ghostwriting PBETA
Mountain Trap 2: Under the Cloak of Fear PBETA

Awesome. I'll have to beta the CHristmas Stories game. Those ones are always awesome.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm pretty stiff this morning.  My thighs, for some reason, feel like I spent an entire day doing deep knee bends.  Upper left arm aches and horrors, so does right hand.  That's my gaming hand!  But I feel a lot better than I expected.

Started Fill and Cross Pirate Riddles and finished the first rom or scene or island or whatever they're calling it in this game.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Ouch Tirama. you step on one of those and it just takes your foot out from under you.  Good excuse for a nice long soak in the tub.

I had two expiring PCCs and picked up The Other Side Tower of Souls and Mysteries and nightmares Morgiana.  Plus I have one more to use next Monday. And then one punch to make up.  Hoping for the new Playrix by then.

Wow lots of Betas.  Yippee to the new Dana Knightstone, although I hope it goes back to the older ones style and challenge level.  And to a new 9Clues.  I hope there is an option to turn off the scroll in the new Grim Tales.  That sort of stuff always makes me nauseous.

I have wood laminate floors so those things really slide if you step on one.  It's a good excuse to stay in pj's.  Took a nice hot shower and aimed pulsating shower head on aching areas.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

What an awful couple of days, trying to get ready for my big adventure aross the other side of the world, while it's been stinking hot and I've been as sick as a dog.  But I'm writing this while I'm looking out the window of my hotel room, occasionally seeing  a plane taking off through the huge trees across the road.   I had a pickup organised for 4 pm but had to ring and change that to 6 pm and then only just made it in time!    It was so hot I could only leave the fan for a few mins at a time, which made it very hard to finish packing and sorting everything out in the house, putting the dishwasher on and unpacking it, washing 2 loads of washing and getting them dry, making my bed ready for my return.  What a nightmare.  But I'm on my way now.

All I have to do is shower, wash my  hair, repack those things I've used, go upstairs to breakfast, then across the road to the airport by 9:30 am.  Thank heavens once I'm there I don't need to think again, apart from timing when to take my tablets, until I get to Sydney as I'm wheelchair assisted all the way.  I'm picked up and taken to each plane without having to think about it.  Without help I can't travel, so thank heavens for the help!

Well, I'm absolutely exhausted and so I'm off to bed ... in a hot, unairconditioned room, as are most hotel rooms in Europe.  Lucky I had the foresight to ask for a fan in my room so I'll be able to sleep.  I've already removed the quilt from the cover so I won't dehydrate from sweating.  I have no idea how they all do it ... sleeping in an unairconditioned room with a quilt in summer, especially when it's as hot as it is now!!!!!

So, I wish you all a fun few days while I'm en route.  I don't get into Sydney until Thursday night so you won't hear from me now until Friday sometime.  And now I'm REALLY going to be way ahead of you all !!!!!!  I'll be 16 hours ahead of the US east coast!

Keep well, everyone, and look after all your boo boos, Tirama
