Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've had the cat for a few days now, ;but I never got the parachute/crate thing going.  I've finally gotten the first painting done.  My flags were bought already.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

My DQ was the Spanish Campaign Medal.  Just got one for 5,000.  Glad that one's behind me.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Wendy -- Did you buy the float plane for the dock?  Somewhere in all the stuff I've read about ART it said the painting quests would be triggered by the float plane.  The first painting is a tutorial.  As i remember (since I'd had the float plane for quite a while) I clicked on the dock, Chris said something and left, I clicked on the crate (which is empty) and then Fatima sort of gave you the quests as you collected, assembled and read the clues.  But it's been a while so I could be wrong.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My quest was the Angelus.  Saw one that the auction expired about 30 minutes after I usually call it a night.  Stayed up and got it for 2,500 so I'm very happy.  Even happier because somebody bought a Lace Flower for 30,000.  That flower not only paid for my Angelus, I got a Victorian Staffordshire Teapot for 12,500 and an Alpine Chalet for 1,500 and still have coins left over.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Today's DQ is the dinner jacket.  Only one that will expire before I go to bed is priced way too high.  Lots of reasonably priced ones expring about noon - 1:00 PM.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Tirama -- let me know if you need me to put a few dinner jackets up.  Mine was for Shot of America!  There was one that expired at a reasonable time (just now) and wasn't hideously priced.  I paid 6000 coins for it.  I figured that if I didn't it would just come up aain.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Missed them.  Went out grocery shopping and we decided to have lunch out at Shula Burgers.  Had a bid on a dinner jacket for 1000 and came back to find out I had ben overbid by 1 coin by one of the regular auction shoppers.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My DQ was for the Silver Lazy Susan.  There were a lot of them out there, but there were a lot of people bidding on them.  Finally got one cheaply (25 coins!) at around 2:00 PM.

My DQ was for the sweat shirt.  Got it late last night/early morning.  Hope everybody else is doing okay with their DQ's.
