Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Since nobody has contacted me in game or posted here asking for help, I'm assuming that everybody has managed to complete their daily quest.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Mine took me about 12 hours but i got it.  It was the Seamstress Photo!  Why people are bidding on every one they see -- and at a minimum of 200 coins -- I'll never understand.

The Orbital Base is back in The Secret Library.  I got one yesterday and one today in silhouette mode.  Apparently a lot of other people have found them too since the prices are waaayy lower than they were just a day or two ago.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I don't mind paying a bit over what I think something is worth if it's for the DQ.  People have been paying me outrageous amounts for things.  Problem is, it's never the same item so I can't predict what's going to make me the big bucks.  Just keep listing things and continue to be amazed.   1000 coins for a Hagia Sophia?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Barre, are you collecting keys?

I just sold a Hagia Sophia for 500, an Eiffel photo for 1000, and a Cybele Photo for 2500 - on buyout.  Very odd.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

No, I am not collecting keys.  I find it such a hassle because when i put up a box and later when I go into my game, I see tons of messages and my box is full.  Then sometimes I would get one or two people who demand keys back!!!  those people are so impatient...can't they wait for their keys?
Anyway, I get the antique medals for giving keys, not collecting keys, right?

I kept opening up box 3 and getting orange sherbet or steamed scallops and I don't need any more food.  Do any of you get other types of food besides those 2 items?  For box 4, keepsakes, I get pink glasses....does it give anything else?

I'm happy just giving keys away. .

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've only seen those two items in box 3.  Box 4 I've received the Cat's Eye as often as the Rose glasses.  Box 2 - butterfly net or magnifying glass.

Antique medals are for giving keys.

Okay, since you're not collecting keys, I can delete the e-mails from "you".  I use the e-mails to keep track of who to give keys to.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Thank you for all the keys Barre!  Like Tirama I'll just delete your messages.  If I ever DO see a red ! by your name I'll send a few keys your way.   My experience is the same as Tirama's as far as the cointents of the chests.

Tirama -- I know a few people got Haiga Sophia as their DQ.  Maybe that's why it sold for 500.  Or did you mean that was a buyout price?  Between the DQs and people just plain going nuts (maybe idle hands and too many coins?) the Auctions have been insane.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My DQ was the Classic Sherry Glass.  Got it for 10 coins.

Played the star machine in the Penny Arcade.  Won 2 keepsakes and 3 gold bars!

I've found all the paintings so all I have to worry about tomorrow is handing out those keys and helping any of you who needs help.

Yes,lilyr, those three items were all bought on buyout, and by the same person.    Too bad they don't want the other 300 or so Sophia's I have.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

The keys are a big PITA.  I give mostly to you guys or a few others that I've exchanged messages with and anybody who is in the 30's ;or lower.  The Daily Quest is kinda a pain now, but st least they tried something different.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.
