misscatlady -- {{{HUGS}}} to you and lexi. I'm glad the lesion looked like a benign cyst (and hope the path comes back that way) but I'mm sorry they had to amputate the leg. Although it it was giving lexi a lot of pain at least that won't be an issue any more. My SIL had a 3-legged cat who did just great! Even managed to catch a mouse! (one of the front legs was amputated).
Is the sun porch finished?

She is home now. It will take some getting used to seeing her without that leg. She appears to be doing great. We have her laying down in her crate to keep the other dogs away from her for now. Poor thing seems confused. Which she has every right to be.
It was giving her so much pain. I felt so bad for her. She was miserable.
As for the screened in porch. No, it's not done. Originally they were to finish mid-May. Yeah, they just started this week. Ridiculous.

My new computer, it's a 17 incher, I'll let you know how well it works in a couple weeks. If it can play CEs without lagging/stuttering I'll be a happy girl.
MissCatlady, I'm glad Lexi is recovering well, but I can imagine how weird it is to see her with 3 legs. It'll take a lot of getting used to, but I'm sure she's happy she's not in pain anymore. It just sucks having to make major decisions like that and not being able to ask or explain to your pet. I'm sure my boys are still mad at me for having their privates cut off

Firstly - Tirama, that is a hoot! Very inventive. I'm starting a new game today and I'll have to come up with a goody.
Misscat - so nice to see you and to hear how Lexi is doing. Glad she is home and recuperating. Stupid contractors with the porch. How is your mom?
Wendy - congrats on your new computer. Fingers crossed the games run like a dream and that the weather is beautiful and your other game runs like a dream. What were you playing Royal Riddles on? A pad? If so and you still want to play a Nonograms game look for Christmas Nonograms, it's free to the end. You can buy lives etc, but you don't need to.

Wow, this is the computer I was thinking about getting. I'll look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. My dad wants me to pick out a laptop for my birthday. He knows I've been wanting one.
Lexi is home now and doing well. He is doing so much better. Already we see a huge difference in her. She is much more alert and happy. While it's sad that she had to lose her leg, it was probably the best thing for her.

Oscar - my mom is fine. She is doing really well. I have a feeling we'll have our hands full when it comes to keeping her calm in order for her to heal completely.

People have very visceral feelings about animal helpers in games. The new one has a cat. And it is very apparent looking at the page that it has a cat. Some posters said as soon as they saw that they deleted. Personally I don't get that. This could be a great game but you are going to kick it to the curb because of an animal helper? I haven't ever thought of it as pandering to anyone having them. Does it make people more likely to buy? I don't know. It does seem to make some people not want to buy though. They don't bother me at all, and some are quite useful. Like the little dragon from Burnt Dreams. (He is now my screen saver). As for buying things and dressing animals, most of the games that is an option and you don't have to do it. But they are handy like Elf for getting in to tight spaces and digging holes. And others for climbing trees or flying to things. It doesn't make or break buying a game for me. Some games thery're useful some not. I can only think of one time that I found a helper very annoying and I couldn't tell you what game it was.
What do the rest of you think about these little helpers?

Was just at TGT's forum. There's a couple of spam threads and Tookat started a thread which is getting a lot of flak, don't know what he/she was thinking It will probably get red flagged.
Misscatlady, there's 2 HP 17 inchers now, one with Intel I3 and the other with AMD 8, and I had no idea which would be better for our games, but because the AMD was the Deal of the Day and cost less anyway, I ended up being able to get that one for $100 less than the Intel, so I went with it. I really, really wanted a bigger screen and the better ones were all up around $1000. My first laptop was pretty expensive and only lasted about 4 years and had to go in for service in that time, so after that I decided that laptops were "disposable and replaceable" and I'll never pay that much again (well, unless I get divorced and remarry a rich man). And since I'm now buying the cheaper ones I don't bother with the extended warranty either. I'm not going to pay $100 for a warranty for a $3-400 laptop that I will want to replace in a few years anyway.
I played a bit more of Deadwood last night but now I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing next and there's no hint button so I'll have to look at the walkthru but it sucks doing that and trying to find the one little thing you missed. And it's Saturday, so open all day until 11pm probably. But I have to stop that mean killer ghost before he gets little Billy.

I don't see any flak in tookats thread, just one person expressed dislike, but I think she started the thread for the lovers of the animal helpers. Her thread was what made me ask if people here had any definitive feelings about them. I don't think her thread should create any controversy, if people don't like them they shouldn't bother posting in that thread.
