Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Oscar - Tiffany has two Thunder shirts, one pink the other blue.  The storm came up so suddenly and was so fierce I couldn't put her down to put it on her.  She's just try to climb back into my arms.

Early this morning we had another storm and that time she had her shirt on.  Usually she senses a storm coming in and comes looking to have her shirt put on.

lilyr- when Tiff wants to play, she looks to DH, but for grooming or comforting, she's a Mommy's girl.  She just wandered in as I am typing this.  Better check to she if she wants her shirt on.  Clouds were beginning to roll in when DH came home from work.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

No thunderstorms but it just keeps drizzling.  We're not making any money so far.  Supposed to have decent weather for Saturday and Sunday so I should break even at least.  We have a new spot next week so it could be good or it could be bad, but it probably won't be anything special.
I just finished Hidden Expedition Hope Diamond CE.  I'm not going to bother trying to get 3 stars in the HO scenes, I don't like HOs enough to try to be perfect in them.  I've been playing Ancient Hearts and Spades, the Hearts part, and also Royal Riddles, it's the kind that tells you how many spots are filled in in each row, forget the type but you gals play them a lot.  I kept getting screwed in my last Hearts game, not enough good cards to go for all the points but too many to avoid taking a bunch of points, so I quit in disgust for awhile

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I went back to play the second level of Royal Riddles and realized it's a FTP, except it's not free, it's $2.99.  I have enough better regular games of that type that I will be passing.   So can I count it as a finished game?

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I started playing Ghost Encounters: Deadwood.  I'm liking it a lot.  Don't know why, HE Hope Diamond seems like I would have liked it more, but I'm liking this one more  There's no hint button, though, only in the HOs, that's it.  I was stuck immediately, went to the walkthru and I've been fine since, but just barely.  The HOs have a lot of items in them and to find, with no interaction, but for some reason I'm enjoying them.  I've played a couple of them twice, I like to repeat the HOs so that's a plus for me.  It's a game where the diary keeps lighting up and provides more storyline than what actually happened in the game, I like to read diarys and I really like when they provide extra info.  It gives no info in regards to clues being writtin down, though.  There's been several times numbers are needed for things and I have to go back and find the numbers, they're not written down in the diary.  There are quite a few cut scenes and so far the game is story driven, I'm doing things for a reason, not just doing stuff aimlessly.  So far, so good, I'm liking it.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

We had storms again last night so I decided to play Fantasy Mosaics, which doesn't require me to remember where I need to use what or to keep a plot straight.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I finally got all my Best Buy stuff decided.  The one laptop had been on sale for $399 instead of $450 but wasn't on sale anymore.  They just put a new one on the market the other day, same computer but with AMD instead of Intel.  I looked up as best I could and it seems they're pretty equivalent but the Intel is slightly better for regular computing, the AMD slightly better for gaming.  The AMD one was also only $399.  Unfortunately it wasn't in stock yet, I would have to pick it up at a store after I leave the next spot, so I dilly-dallied about it.  When I woke up this morning I had an email from Best Buy giving me $50 off a HP computer (the one I wanted).  Well, that would give me the $399 on the Intel, which I could pick up today, or it would take the AMD one down to $349.  What to do, what to do.  So then I logged into Best Buy and the AMD computer was on sale today for $349 so with my coupon it's only $299  I went ahead and ordered it, and also a battery DVD player($99) and a cooling mat($18 on sale from $40) for the laptop.  With tax it's still all under $500.  I ordered through Ebates so I'll get a 1% refund from them, only $4or 5 but what the hey, and I used hubby's Best Buy credit card so that gets 6% back in Best Buy bucks, that'll be almost $25, so I think I did pretty good by being indecisive for so long  I already bought a DVD the other day, the complete series of The Honeymooners, so I'll have something to play on it, and everybody but me has tons of movies out here so it will be easy to borrow stuff.  I can pick up the DVD player and mat at this store today.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Wendy - which computer did you end up getting? I'm hunting for a new laptop myself. I'm not sure which one to get. I definitely only want to buy one that is $400 or so.

Sorry I haven't been on for such a long time. Things have been super crazy with work and everything so I haven't had a lot of time for gaming.

News on Lexi. She finally had her surgery yesterday. They ended up having to amputate her leg. They called us this morning and said that she had a good night. She slept well and didn't get sick or anything. She's gone to the bathroom and everything looked good there. She said we can pick her up this afternoon. Though my dad is going to get her on his way home from work at around 5pm. The vet did say that the mass he took off the bone looked to him like it was nothing more than a benign bone cyst. And doesn't appear to be cancerous. Though he is sending it off to be tested to be sure. But it appears that Lexi will be fine other than having one less leg.

As for gaming. I was able to play and finish Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Under the Crimson Moon Collector's Edition. It was an okay game. Definitely not worth as a CE. But oh well. It's an okay game. The bonus game was rather short.

I've added a new game called Hidden Object Shopping to the word game section.
