Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've just realised something.  I've thought it's funny when people will show as online, then go offline, then come back on again and will have posted.  So, does that mean that if you're typing a post or a PM you show as offline?

I hadn't actually gone anywhere, Oscar, I was just sending you a PM.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm real close to a Best Buy and this is the week I was going to ind lge    electronics but I haven't gotten anything yet.  The laptop I wanted was on sale for $399, now it's $449 and I don't want to spend the extra money.  And I don't technically need it.   My old cheap tablet broke so I've been thinking about aother one, but I dtdn't really use it, just played solitaire before bed.  Maybe a portable dvd player, I don't care for movies but I can get some TV series and watch them in bed.  They're only $100.  And it's rainy this spot and it's not a very good one, so it makes me want to save my money.  We have a new spot next week, I know there will be a Best Buy in ta mibe away.n't know how close, this one is only a mile away..... What makes the typing do that? it's like it can't keep up with me.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I was good.  I resisted the sale this weekend and this one.  I'll get most of what oscar got eventually but I don't need any more games right now.  (can anyone say "understatement"?)  I was trying to find something to play and D/L'd CASTLE.  I only had 4 minutes left in the demo.  I may just delete it and try for something shorter and that, hopefully, will make me smile.  I love the mouse too oscar!

I want to get an ereader for my trip.  I'm thinking Kindle Fire and then I might be able to get a game or two on it.

ETA:  Oh Rats!  I just saw today's sale.  But I'm going to be strong.  There might be a Fathers' Day sale and should be an Independence Day sale.  So I can wait.

Wendy - keep in mind the different sales tax rates in different places.  I think Best Buy's sales run from Sunday to Saturday.  Next time you're in a store, ask them.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I've just updated my demo review of  Shadow Wolf Mysteries: Under the Crimson Moon.  I've added:

    *    Some BFG reviews of the finished game
    *    An excerpt from the All About Casual Game review
    *    Updated statistics from BFG

And Oscar, I can't wait to hear what you think of the CE as Penny1942 (who gave 5 stars) wrote, The hilariously diabolical ending is alone worth the price of the CE.

I may have missed it, but did you ever get your sound back?  At least I think it was you.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I didn't get to play much at all yesterday.  We had a very bag thunderstorm.  The wind was whipping around, throwing sheets of water at the windows.  The wind also either picked up pebbles and pelted the house with them or it was also hailing.  Tiffany was terrified and I spent the afternoon holding her in my arms.

Poor baby, one of my moms dogs has real trouble with storms.  Have you heard of thunder coats?

I'll let you know about Shadow Wolf.  I may play it next. I have to finish downloading yesterday's games.  Some of them are pretty sizeable

Tirama -- So sorry about Tiffany!  I'm sure she appreciated being cuddled during that storm.  We used to take care of a friend's poodle.  He was great -- no going upstairs, no jumping up on furniture unless you said it was okay.  All bets were off if it was thundering or there were fireworks.  He would shoot up the stairs (if we were up there) and plaster himself to one of us (usually me).
