Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

How can I send in a ticket?  I've spent more gold than I originally had.  I'll get some more with achievements, but not until teh game stablizes.

What quest do you have?  The paintings are hidden in the HO scenes.  The clue is cryptic and hints at the city and the mode you have to be in.  The map will show several cities with ? on them.  The clue points to one of those cities.  You don't want to have more than one painting quest open at a time, especially if you're having trouble figuring out the clue.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Just read the BoomZap forums.  It appears that if you bid on a gold item, and somebody outbids you, your gold disappears.  Don't know if it happens if you do a buyout.  I was hoping to get some gold back by selling my excess Easter and Valentine collectibles.

The holiday event better be darn good because I'm losing interest in this game fast.  The auction is as crazy and chaotic as Black Friday at Walmart.   Monday I'm deleting anybody who hasn't updated.  I'm going nuts trying to find the people who sent me keys.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

It happened again.  I had sold some East Collectibles and was up to 51 and then somebody outbid me on something I had forgotten about and poof!  Gold is gone.  If you bid on something using gold bars, and somebody outbids you, all your gold disappears.

This totally sucks.  I have to watch how many quests I complete so I don't get the achievment for 500 quests until I'm sure there's nothing out there that I've bid on. That's 10 days I have to wait to really play the game without worrying.  Assuming there's no other glitches.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Rats. I lost my post.

I have the tutorial quest for the "Children these days are very picky -- especially about their toys".  I think it is in the Toy Shop in Minnesota (it has a ?) and in Picky Shopper mode.  I've done all 4 modes 8 times (lots of energy!) and still haven;t gotten that rotten painting.

Can't you send a CS ticket to BFG?  Or does Boomzap have some way to report bugs?  I think it sucks that they changed it this way too.

I can't delete "friends" until I get to 100 and get the Achievement.  4 more to go.  There are a lot of people on my list who have "0" under their name.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I had no trouble getting that painting.  Sounds like a bug.

I could complain to BF, but all they can do is send me a free game coupon, no doubt for an SE.  If I had bought gold, BF could refund my money.  Only BoomZap can go into my individual game and put back the gold.

I'm okay about it, really.  I don't need any food or keepsakes, already got the cat and all the pet accessories.  I'm just concerned that I'll need to use gold for some quests during the July 4th event.  I can earn some with achievements, but not for another 10 days in case I have a bid out there in gold bars and somebody out bids me.  I'm only 23 quests away from earning an achievement, so all I'll play right now is the auction quests.  And I have to avoid leveling up, since that gives gold.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Are we all having fun playing whacky auction?  Somebody paid me 40,000 for an Ionic Wire.

If anybody is having trouble with their Daily Quest, let me know.  I figured out a way we can help each other and it won't cost a coin.  Say you have a DQ for the Femme Fatale.  I list one at some ridiculous price (starting bid 2999 buyout 3000).  You also list one for the same amount.  I buy your, you buy mine.  Voila!  We each have exactly what we started out with and you've got your DQ done.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My daily quest is for the Beechwood Cup Medal.  There's only one out there to bid on that the auction ends before midnight for me.  What's with all the people still auctioning stuff off for 10 days?  Who the heck knows what they will need in 10 days?

I'll probably skip today's DQ.  I'm not sure what's a reasonable price to pay for the item, don't really want the item.  I'm not sure I know what anything is worth any more.

I'm amazed at what people will spend to earn 100 experience points, 120 coins and 1 star to play the slot machine with.

This is even crazier than when we had our little Buy My Junk week in an attempt to sell off all the garbage we accumulated earning gold during the Valentine's quests.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

My daily quest was for the World War II Victory medal.  There were quite a few out there -- a couple even expiring withing 24 hours -- but they certainly wanted enough for them!  By chance I just checked again and there was one expiring in minutes.  I got that for 800 coins.  Now that seems crazy.  At the time it seemed like quite a deal.  I may start skipping the DQs too.

If you want the DQ let me know. I'll be on and off most of the day.

I played the 3rd slot once or twice.  I'm not really into gambling -- in ART or RL.

I've seen the Blue and White Plate up for auction.  I still haven't come across that yet.  Or the Korean War Medal.

Until I hear from Boomzap about the paintings there's rteally not much I can do in the game.  Except try to keep up with keys. Yikes!  That's almost a full time job now.  At least I reached 100 neighbors so i can start culling my list.

Is it just me or is the cat kind of creepy while the hint is refilling?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

lilyr-  I'll put a Beechwood Cup Medal up for auction for 10,000 expiring 1 hour.  Buy it and sell it back to me for same amount.

Yes, that cat is creepy.  I'm glad it doesn't bark (didn't they make the Christmas Seal bark just like the dog?), but they could have made the cat meow.  And go to sleep rather than dance the hula or whatever it's doing.

Regarding the keys:  Monday I'm going to delete the people who have no antique rating and send keys to people in the order they appear on the list.  I'll save the e-mails I get from when I receive keys and, after I've gone through my friends list once, I'll send a key to somebody who sent me one and delete the e-mail.  If my friend list is still too long, after a week I'll delete the people who haven't sent keys.

Tirama, I put a Beechwood Cup Medal up for 10 coins expiring in 1 hour if you are interested.  Just trying to help.
