PS.  I keep forgetting to say that I love your new quote, Tirama.  Words to live by

It's a sig I used long ago on UseNet as a reminder and a warning to people that just because I'm your friend, don't expect me to join in a long standing feud you've got going with somebody else.  And a reminder to myself not to take the bait when people try to pick a fight.  Fighting is not why I'm on the internet.

Anther sig I used was "Life's too short to fight with people you don't know about people you don't know."

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I went into the game with no internet connection today and I didn't get a daily quest or the star thing, so they must come through the internet each day.  Bummer.  I finally did an update for Farm Up, I haven't played it since I got home in October.  I'd forgotten how much I love just looking at my farm, it's so pretty and peaceful.  I'd run out of quests on that one so spent a lot of time rearranging it and I just love it.  It's a good one to play while I"m working because the crops take different times to grow and then wither so I plant depending on how long my working day is.
Well, I'm off to log in and do my dailys.

EDIT  I just realized I will have to pick one game or the other, I wasn't able to log into the other game. I'll probably be out of quests on both of them by the time I leave.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I was a few days behind on one game, today was Day 7 and I got the pouch of keepsakes.  I don't use them that much but they're worth much more than whatever gold I got the other day, although straight gold can be used for whatever you want.  But I finally have my first bundle

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Grrr.  It won't let me auction my exotic stuff.  I can auction normal stuff but when I try to auction my Columbus Day stamp and my Graduation gown it tells me there's a problem, try again later.  It auctions my ball gown and Bermuda stamp just fine, though!  I bought a grad gown for 90,000 and sold it for 120,000, I was going to try for a little more this time.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I was wondering what happened to the Staffordshire teapot.  Of course I'm out of tem.

Just out of curiosity I tried auctioning my Columbus Day stamp.  It wouldn't show me any others on auction so I arbitrarily put it up at 20,000 to 30,000.  Last I looked I had a bid of 25,000.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I got 35,000 for my Columbus Day.  They're not really good for much, so why not?  I can finally auction my good stuff again.  Sold several Graduation Gowns for 150,000  I think I bought a couple for 90,000 and maybe used gold for a couple.  I still have 5 left, don't know how I got that many.  I have 450 gold so I can always buy more later if they don't ever appear.  I'm thinking they might come out in the next update so I figure I'll cash in now while there's none on the market.  My one game I went from 700,000 to around a million five today.

Wendy -- So you buy graduation gowns with gold?  I've never seen them in the game but I still have a lot of stuff locked.

I'm down to one quest.  I need to level up to open a minigame.  I spent a lot of yesterday playing minis to get items I needed to finish sets and then auctioning the extras.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

You can buy the Graduation Gowns, any Platinum item, for 10 gold.  I just went and looked up what BFG charges for gold and money.   For $100 you get 2,500,000 coins. For $1 you get 8,000.  Too bad Tirama can't trade her 8 million for real money.  For gold it costs $1 for 8 and $100 for 2500 gold bars.  So basically 1 gold bar is the equivalent of 1000 coins. but I can spend 10 gold on a graduation gown and get back 150,000 coins...if someone is still willing to pay that today.  Once they're introduced into the game, the price will plummet, of course.  I wonder if they will ever be added.
On a strange note, today I can bid on my own items, the buttons are still there.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've continued to sell a few more grad gowns for 150,000.  I just can't resist.  I don't really have much else to spend my gold on, just popsicles if they're on sale.  I even spent a little of my gold in one game and bought a couple more gowns.  I have almost 400 gold in one game and over 400 in the other.
