Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I bought flowers for 2 places and I can't tell they're there!
I've made some bidding boo-boos myself.  but maybe I should put a Deerstalker up.  I always price mine for buyout, I almost never get an auction going.  And Deerstalkers only take 1 film to get.  It always amazed me that people would pay for them.  And when you get to master there, you get 3000 bucks for your 1 film, too.

I've been working on the Shot of America.  It's 5 butterfly nets.  Usually a 5 resource gme gives a prize almost every time but this one is tight, tight, tight!  And I hate the game, too.  It's simple and easy but I have a hard time with it and you only have 3 chances to get the prize.  I would buy my shotglass instead buy they cost over 20,000.  So then when I do get some I always want to sell them.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I priced it starting at 3,000 - buout 4,000.  More often than not, anything I sell goes for buyout.  And if it doesn go to auction, I rarely get more than the buyout price.

So far, since around 3:00 PM, I've made 230,000 selling things.  And that doesn't include the 45,000 for the deerstalker!

I bought 2 sets of flowers, the airplane, pinwheels, and the flag.  I'd like to wait and see what teh place looks like without snow before I start buying benches and fences.

What I'd really like to see is a sale on items for the antique store interior so I can ditch the polka dot wallpaper.

I bought flowers, pinwheels, the flag and the seaplane too.  Boy is that plane big!  I'm not to happy with the pinwheels -- I thought they'd be in a little bunch like they were in the picture.  I bought gnomes before and they are in groups.  Oh.  And I bought a playground for Paw Paw.  I'd already bought fences and benches and street lights for the areas.

I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy doing the auction.  I've sold close to half a million worth of stuff.

OMG!  Looks like somebody typed too fast while bidding on a Portable Sundial.  The starting price was 12,000 and the bid currently stands at 120,000.  And, no, it's not my sundial up for auction.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I finally achieved Master at Dolores's barn, which unlocked the 18 envelopes mini-game, which I needed to play to get the Cuneiform Marker for a quest.  Got lucky and it only took 5 tries to get the collectible to drop.  Next quest I received wanted me to get a leather jacket at, wait for it, Dolores's barn, and I still haven't been able to get it to drop.

AARRRGGGH!!  I wish these games would count what you have in inventory.

Congratulations on getting it with only 5 tries Tirama!  I made Master but haven't gotten it to drop as yet.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I'm down to one quest.  I need to play mini game 10 palletes, but it's locked.  To unlock it, I need to buy a painting.  But the painting's purchase price hasn't changed from gold bars to coins yet.  For that to happen, I need to upgrade all buildings in Dinhammer Alley to level 5.  But I can't, because one of the buildings is "coming soon".

So my choices are:
1) pay to skip
2) pay 16 bars to unlock the mini game
3) pay 140 bars to buy painting
4) wait for update

Well, those WERE my choices.  I clicked on the skip button to see what the price was, and it automatically took my gold.  I have no idea how much it took.  Not a happy camper at all.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

That happened to me once, too, Tirama.  You didn't have to update the 'coming soon' building, though.  I got the coin price just by upgrading the current ones.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Wendy, all my buildings have been at level 5 since before the Valentine's quest and that painting is still requiring a payment in gold bars.  I know somebody who's at level 81, same situation.  That mini game can stay locked until eternity for all I care, I'm not forking over 140 gold bars for a painting I don't want.
