Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've got several buildings started but now I need drills, screws, and nails and those are in the higher fuel countries so I'm pretty stalled out right now.  I've been deleting a lot off my friends list, I might not do the key thing over the summer cause I think that and the auction used a lot of data.  Once I'm on the road and not playing MC I'll probably get back into this game a lot more.  I'll be able to get in the Spring event before I leave.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

You have to play the 1 fuel countries a lot to get fuel to use in the 3 fuel countries.

I just got the dinosaur building to level 3.  Entering it and looking in the boxes gave me more quests for a lot of bones.  So now I can concentrate on finding the bones in the countries and not worry about which building supplies I need next.  By the time I have all the bones, I'll probably have enough of something to do more building.

I'm still trimming my friend list.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Yesterday morning I got a lot of "you need a strong Internet cionnection" messages and finally "cannot connect to server".  When I was able to get in again the snow was gone!    Breezy Bay looks soooo good without all that snow.  The colors are so vibrant!  Even the museum area looks good!  I even put my fisherman out on the Bay again.

I have one final building to get to Pirate and then back to a "real" building.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Yeah, I couldn't figure out why it looked so vibrant, then I finally realized the snow was gone.  So I took down my Valentines stuff and put out some sping decor.
I just don't make much fuel playing, if I play 4 times I'll usually get 1fuel, 1 fuel, 2 fuel, and none so I broke even.  So the only fuel I gain is if I make a collection and I don't even seem to make many of them.  And trading in the collections is so tedious, even using the skip.  If I'm not connected to internet it won't let me cash in a collection, either, I have to keep that in mind over the summer.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

Completing those collections is tedious.  That's why I don't let them mount up.  I play each country in each mode, then cash in any collections I have.  Then do the next country.

I know some people are playing the same country for 30 or 60 minutes using keepsakes.  I don't really need the coins and I don't care about leveling up so I can't be bothered.  I'll use my keepsakes during the Spring event.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I finally found all the bones.  I had to play through all the countries 3 times on each mode before all of them dropped.  My fuel is severely depleted so the next thing I'll be doing is playing the first 3 countries over and over to build it back up before I begin the hunt for nails and screws again.

Haven't decided whether to work on the Observatory or the Royal Treasures building next.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I can't believe that at one time my fuel was up to 80, now I'm struggling to keep it at 30.  I'm so tired of playing Italy, Egypt, and Indonesia and only beling able to complete 1 collection for every 4 scenes I play.   Still trying to get enough screws and nails for the next building.

I've got 4 buildings waiting for wallpaper which that stupid Fatima claims is needed for landscaping.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I finally have all of my buildings customized to Pirate.  And the ones at the museum turned back to "regular" buildings.  Now I'm mowing grass and trying to build up my hammers.  I think I have enough thread and palettes.  I've taken all my seasonal decs down and I'm not putting them up until I get a quest for them.  That's why I still am 1 short for Valentine's Day.

The observatory is now leing upgraded to level 3.  Another couple of hours and I can start finding whatever is supposed to be in there but isn't.  That Fatima is not very good at her job.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I got tired of it and just bought enough screws and nails to do my warehouse to the next level.  I've kept my collections with a reserve of 5, The most I've ever gotten over my reserve is 13 fuel.  The resources cost 3 gold each, a fuel costs 5 gold, I figure I probably didn't do too bad.  I just wanted to see something happen
