Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I hate 2 of my games cause I lost tons of progress.  I'm level 31 and it says I'm a trainee in Michigan.  I don't think so.  I need to redo the paintings and I can't get into the scenes I need.  I need silhoutte mode in Flower Shop and I'm just a trainee there.  Just don't feel like playing it up to Pro or whatever it needs.  Especially when all 3 sections are open so I've obiously played it before.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

So just play the one game.  Use the other two to help your main game, or trash them, or only play them when you have absolutely nothing else to play.  I would think that rotating from AK to MC to ART would allow you to play continuously.  And there's other free to play games you can add if it doesn't.

My museum will be accessible very late at night on the 31st.  I'll start playing ART on Feb 1.  After all this wait, I doubt it will live up to the hype.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've been playing a bit to get resources for the new buildings.  I'm enjoying it but from what I've read in the forums there's a LOT of quests that seem to take off from inside the museum.  We'll see!

Wendy -- I never did understand how you could keep 3 games going (or would want to).  One was always enough for me.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I've tried to stay away from the BF forum.  All the headers contain spoilers.  The excitement of having an update really isn't there for me, not after having to wait almost a month AFTER the update to actually access most of it.

And I'm still getting mostly auction dq's.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

You'll probably get into it once you really start playing again, or maybe not.  I seem to go back and forth between the 3 (MC and AK), I really get into one of them and don't care about the other two, then after awhile I switch favorites.
I'm stuck on my WendyDarling game.  I need to open the photo album at Margaret's house but I don't have the gloves so I can't open it.  Are there any cures for that sort of thing?  I might just transfer my good stuff to shagcat and quit the WD game.  It would make life less stressful.  I'd like to do that in AK, too, but I've been trying to wait to see what the 'gifting' will be.  And the game I would quit would be the farthest ahead, but it's only by a little bit.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

This game is going ito the trash can.  I waited to play the arcade until the museum was finished customizing so that I could play the plane quests and keep going through to the museum quests.

Well, in spite of playing the arcade ( all three machines) and getting the two plane parts, the first section of the quest (Play the arcade) is not checked off.  Can't advance.  I'm done.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I opened this game again in order to delete everybody from my friend list.  For the heck of it, I decided to play the arcade one more time.  Sunny beaches, it completed the quest.

Is the rest of the update this glitchy and frustrating?  Does anything run smoothly?  ON the very next quest I can see an error matching up the verbiage with the pictures of the stamps.

Just what the hell were the BoomZap/Big Fish QA people looking at for 7-8 months?

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I played the coin machine first and that completed the one section of the quest.  Did it take you much to get your parts?
When you start doing the museum stuff it asks for things (like car photos) and directs you to the auction but that doesn't complete the quest, you have to go find the stuff in the HOs.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

I played the star machine first.Took 36 pulls to get plane part.  Then I played the gold bar machine.  Only needed to play twice.

Exited the arcade and the first part of the quest, visit the arcade or play the arcade or howevr it was worded, was not checked.  Common sense says that after one spin on any of the machines, you have played the arcade.

Went back in and played the coin machine.  Exited teh arcade.  Still not what it wanted.

shut down game and went grocery shopping.  Restarted game with intention of emptying friends list before deleting game.  Decided for the hell of it to play the coin slot one more time.  Finally game acknowledged that yes, I did play the arcade.

Very next quest has a display error with Fanny Poster where Pony Express Stamp should be and vice versa.

So far the update, even the updated update, is glitchy and boring.  Play the same scene over and over until it cycles around to the correct mode.  Get plane part and a couple quests later it's back to Michigan again.  Yawn.

Auction daily quests.  Double yawn.

Re: Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'

It's difficult to get into a game when you constantly have to wait to play it.  Have 20 more hours to wait until Koi Flags are completed.

I really think that BOomZap could have done a better job.  With 7 months between updates, the people still willing to play the game wanted to play the game.  Having the first quests come in one at a time, and having them either be repetitious (playing the same HO scene several times in a row, play the slots repeatedly) or having them make you upgrade and wait 32 hours before you can continue just doesn't seem like a good way to get you immersed in the game.
