Okay.  It's official At least as far as I'm concerned!  One (or more) DEV is a sadist.  So far I've been asked for 5 Brave Goblin books (fortunately I had 6), 10 Royal Jewel boxes (I only had 2 when I started) and now 12 Moon Fountain Tea mix! ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

I checked with Boomzap about this.  They said there were some programming changes so some things in older versions are no longer supported (and wouldn't play).  I don't now enough about programming (or anything else to do with computers) to really understand it.  They did apologize for the "forced" update.

The last I heard was "soon".  I was surprised that we got an update to AK before ART.

I don't know what bugs were fixed, but I played Gobholm 3-4 times and received no portraits (I now have 4 trophies there and only 3 portraits), played Sacred Grove and didn't get a unicorn feather.

Every quest I have either involves upgrading buildings $$$, playing the same HO over and over to get so many trophies, or finding multiples of objects that have a drop rate of 1 in 10 (at best).  Using a day's worth of energy to make no progress isn't what I would call fun.

lilyr - The idea of paying to NOT play the game doesn't float my boat.  I'll just check in every day and spend 5-10 minutes using my energy.  I don't care if it takes until Christmas, I'm not spending money to skip quests.
