Re: Awakening Kingdoms

Yikes these storybooks and gemshorns are really slow going!  I need one more gemshorn (which I'm tempted to buy) and 11 more storybooks.  Sometimes Dawnshadow doesn't give me a storybook OR paintbrushes.  I haven't ever gotten the tea packet from Goblin Village despite having everything open for a long time.  And i haven't gotten a Noble brooch or Goblin engineer crest for a very long , long time.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

I finally bit the bullet and bought the 3rd mystic gemshorn.  Buyout was only 6475!   Yesterday there were 5 or 6 at auction;  today just this one so I figured I'd better snap it up (after trying a number of times to earn another one in the TREASURE VAULT). So now I only need 7 more storybooks and 10 paintbrushes and I'll be done.  And then I can start earning bolgins to upgrade all the buildings that I have quests for.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

I advise the card game for making money.  You double your money and get 500 stars.  Its slow but it gets you there.  And I like the game, it's easy.  You buy 2 cards for $600 and get paid back $1200 once you get to the expert level.  Do it 10 times and you've made over $6000 profit and earned more than 5000 experience.  Works for me  I play it anytime I'm anywhere close to leveling up.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

I remember that tip Wendy.  I'm nowhere near to even getting even right now.  Once the Yura's Quests are finished I'll have more time.  Since I've played them so much I get really good returns from Triffledore and the Squabitt games.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

I've really hit a road block.  I need oodles of glass shards to play Chumblepot's minis, oodles of blueprints to play Troglid's games, and somebody named Raphael showed up wanting lots of portaits.  and the mayor wants 12,000 for 2 portaits.  At the rate I'm going, I'll be several updates behind.

I'm trying to ignore anything connected with the Yura Festival (sorry, Capr Greg) until my game is where it was before the big crash.  Not touching any of my food, doing it the hard way, waiting for energy to regenerate.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

Well, sunny beaches!  I was looking through my collectibles and I have 19 of those Silvia things!  BoomZap must have put them in one of the earlier HO scenes, So it looks like Troglid will not be as much as a problem as I thought.  And if I find those portraits for Raphael, I might complete some sets and those sets give glass shards, which should help take care of Chumblepots.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

I saved up the 25k and completed Captain Greg's quest to upgrade the fountain statues and street lights.  I got 1 quest after that and that is to upgrade the fungus hut to level 1.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

The castle does look good with the upgrades.  I rather like the troll, too.

I'm still trying to get those blasted storybooks!  Wendy must have had phenomenal luck to finish all the quests so quickly.  I'll usually only get one book every 2-3 times in Dawnshadow.  Sometimes I don't get any paintbrushes either.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

If you're doing the books you only have one more quest after that, paintbrushes and glue.  Remember not to get your reward until you use up all your energy cause you get a refill. It even seemed I got 2 different rewards, the 2nd was the refill.  Luckily I was able to press the "Next Quest" thing down at the bottom and it didn't make me take it cause I had plenty of energy at the time.

Re: Awakening Kingdoms

Thanks Wendy.  I do remember you cautioning about that before.  Of course at the rate I'm going the thing will probably expire before the blasted books drop!
