    Getting to Know You

    Ok, I've shared (possibly overshared) a lot about me in the last few days.  Now I want to get to know all of you better.  What do you do?  What are your hobbies?  Favorite types of games?  Children?  Are you male or female (I think we're all female here, right?)  What do you prefer to be called in these forums?  Only share what you're comfortable with.

    My name is Noelle, I'm female and live in SE Virginia.  I work in a synagogue.  I've lived here for almost 30 years now, but I grew up in California and parts of Europe.  I have two sons, 1 is 22 and lives with his grandparents in the next city (he has a chronic panic disorder and needs someone there with him full-time, which I can't do because I work), the other is 19 and lives with me.  He's currently looking for a job so he can save up some money to go to college.

    I love casual gaming, reading, music (80's hair bands rule! LOL), cooking and NASCAR.  My favorite types of games are HOPA's and Resource Management, and the occasional RPG, builder, adventure, and marblepopper.  I used to play Mah Jongg games, but they started to bore me, and dash-type games just frustrate me, and I find myself yelling at the customers "you would never make it in the real world if you can't wait 30 seconds for a custom-decorated cake!"  LOL  I also used to play M3, but I'm way too obsessive, trying to make every chain and loosing track of time.

    My name is Anki and I´m 51 years old (young). I have 3 children . My oldest a son is 28 years and he´s a lieutenant in the army and he was in Afganistan for 9 months (that felt like eternity for me). He has given us our first grandchild (that´s my avatar). My oldest daughter is 24 years and she´s studying tourism at the university. My youngest daughter is 11 years and a gaming freak like me We sometimes play together and she really likes Elephant games and unlucky  for me ERS which I´m soo tired of...
    My favorite type of games are HOPAs and lately I branched out to Time Managment and Builders. I also like Adventures like Sherlock Holmes and Chronicles of Mystery.
    I also like to read and watch series on TV (I love Grey´s Anatomy and Downton Abbey), regarding music I´m a little corny: I like Backstreet Boys

    I am married to my best friend for 27 years now. We have 2 children 24 & 22 and 1 granddaughter almost 10 months. My favorite type of music is alternative rock especially from the 90's with Nirvana as my all time favorite. My currant favorite is The Black Keys.

    I first started with pc gaming when at a yard sale I found Nancy Drew: The Final Scene cd game for 50 cents bought it and played it and from there I played all the Nancy Drews I could find. I found Gamehouse first around 9/2010 and then I found Big Fish 12/2010. I like both Large File Adventures and HOPA's. I had a Playstation in the 90's and played a lot of Resident Evil, Tomb Raider and Spyro.

    My hobbies include:  reading mystery novels, taking walks with my DH and I bought a lot of scrapbooking stuff now I need to actually start scrapbooking.

    Hi all,
    I'm the newest newbie. I'm Beth, at BFG mcquigan. You would have found me in the adventurous fish thred, and LFG group plays.
    I am 57, married. Have a 34 year old son, and an 11 1/2 year old daughter (they are so far apart in years I say i have two only children).
    The first game I ever played was Leisure suit Larry .
    I read, garden, moan about aches and pains, and enjoy putting food by.
    Anki, my nephew just deployed to Afghanistan, I will hold my breath for the next nine months.

    Hi mcq and a warm welcome!!  I didn't know whether this is a chat place or just for people to post details about themselves, which is why I didn't say Hi sooner.  I'm glad you're here.  Are you playing Broken Sword group play right now at the other place?  Hope you can join us for Green Moon next month...would you like to?

    Hi everyone,

    I'm the newbie previous to mcq!!! I'm 64 years old, I'm married 41 1/2 years, and I have a DD and DS (28 and 22 years old).

    I only played few LFG, I knew about the adventourus fish thread, when I played with them Legion and the Puppeteer! I just enjoyed to be part of a group to play, to encourage each other, and to help!

    I love to cook, read, play games, and , slowly, doing the garden in my new home!
