Tirama -- Thanks for the heads up on VERMILLION WATCH. Sounds like a good one!
Even though we had a super sale I didn't buy anything. There are games I want, but I've got more than enough to keep me busy.

Just trying to get caught up on all that's been going on in the game playing world. So good to see you back, stusue, and enjoyed reading your extended review. Sounds like you also have been having computer issues like me.
Fudgechi, the GH Funpass is PERFECT for you. After looking at one of your lists, I'm amazed that someone can get that many games completed. I'm lucky if I can get 7-8 completed a month, which is good for me. The last two months have been awful for me, as far as game playing goes.
Tirama, feel for you with the game purchase goof. I'm sure they can help you get it all straightened out. I had a PCC expiring on the 30th and knew I should have used it the week before. With the holiday sale going on, of course, there was no BPM on Monday and thought I might post it on the FB Pond Friends thread, and then realized it had a purchase time of 4:44 am so by the time I was going to do something, it was expired.
Just haven't felt like even looking at any of the sales which is unusual for me so may finally be winding down needing to accumulate each of the series follow up games as they come out. May just wait and let the GC's build up and use them on the MCF and Christmas game that comes out every year.

Hi, Tee! Thanks!
Sorry about how long my review was. Once I get started I can't seem to stop!
It's either a complete review or no review at all. Can never decide what to cut out.
And the more I like a game the more I have to say so the longer the review.
I'm also sorry you're having computer problems like me!
Hopefully they'll all be sorted out soon!

I've just finished the main game in Hidden Expedition: Midgard's End CE.
Almost 6 hours of . The adventure part wasn't so challenging but the HOPs and MGs?!
The challenge of all the games seem to have been raised lately.
Or maybe it's just being able to play with no BBTs at all and no cursor changes.
But the MGs and HOPs are definitely more challenging!
I eventually gave up on 2 MGs and looked at the SG.
And one of them had 39 moves!!!!!!!!
I didn't feel so bad after I'd copied it all out and realised how many moves there were.
A full review once I've finished the BG tomorrow. It's my bedtime now.

You're really good at reviews, Stusue. I'm hopeless at them.
Yesterday I finished Living Legends: Wrath of the Beast PE. REALLY enjoyed it. I like all the Living Legends but I think this was the best. Nice long game too.
Today I finished New York Mysteries: The Lantern of Souls PE. Again REALLY enjoyed it! And again I like all the new York Mysteries but think this was the best too. Another good long game.

I decided to play BOOK OF LEGENDS next. It's old but looked like fun. I got to one spot and kept getting a black screen then a notice of a runtime error. I uninstalled/reinstalled. Same. Then I switched players (I wasn't that far into the game) and it worked! I was dreading having to deal with CS.

Lily, I think I've actually played Book of Legends, but if I have I can't remember it. I'm glad you got it working!
CS don't seem to even read the complaint emails anymore. I've found that if I have a problem with a game, no matter how big or how small, I just get a stock reply saying that they haven't read my email yet and give me a coupon code for an SE or a CE. They then say that if I get the game working I can keep the coupon code, but if I want to troubleshoot the problem without using the replacement code, they give links to the Help pages (which, of course, I've already done if it's any of those problems). But how does looking at the Help pages stop you from using the coupon code???? And then they just add that if you have any more problems they'll be happy to hear from you.
So I don't think they even try to sort things out anymore. Either try to help yourself with the Help pages or else just take the coupon code and run. I always just take the coupon code and run, which doesn't bother me at all, because I get to keep the original game (albeit missing something or with some problem but I can usually play it) as well as another game that, hopefully, works properly.

Speaking of coupon codes ...
Tirama, thanks for the CEs that are coming out this week ...

Due to be released this week:
Midnight Calling: Jeronimo Collector's Edition
The Keeper of Antiques: The Revived Books Collector's Edition
I have a coupon code for a CE that expires on Saturday. I looked at all the CEs that I don't have and couldn't find one that I wanted to waste the coupon code on and was hoping that one of the CEs this week would be worth it. Do you know anything about either of these CEs? Does anyone know anything?

stusue -- In my case you have to earn money to go to the next place in the game. Without that black screen area I couldn't earn enough to move on. I agree that BFG CS is just going through the motions.
I tried to find something about the 2 CEs Tirama listed but couldn't.

Thanks, Lily!
I actually looked at YouTube but at the moment I can't see any videos when I try there. I can hear sound but the only way I can see a picture is to press Pause, which kind of defeats the purpose. I'm trying to get a workaround for it but, so far, nothing I've googled has worked for me. Stupid Firefox! It now uses HTML5 instead of Flash or something and I've gotta try and get it using what everyone else uses and what works but so far that hasn't gone very well.
However, it wasn't until I read your post where you said that you'd tried to find something about them that I suddenly had a ...
moment and thought, why don't I do what I always normally do and look for a beta?
Which I did and found them at BFG and so downloaded them and played just a bit of them ... as it was after 1 am at the time ...
but I wanted to know if I had to get one of the possible CEs (one of the ones I really liked but didn't think was CE worthy) before 9 am to get the extra punch if I didn't like the 2 betas, or whether I liked at least one of the new ones enough and thought that at least one would be CE worthy.
And I loved one of them!!!!
I loved Midnight Calling: Jeronimo CE by Elephant and didn't want to stop playing. It's also got collectibles (I think more than one) that you actually collect for a reason, but I can't remember what as I played another Beta yesterday that I'd been sent (I was sent 3 last week!!!!), and a Souvenir Room, AND, if I remember correctly, you can turn off both BBTs and cursor changes, AND touch worked perfectly (unlike the 2nd game), AND it was challenging!, AND I really liked the story, AND I really liked the weird cartoony graphics, AND I liked the characters, even the Phoenix helper (at least to get to high places, don't know about fire)!
The Keeper of Antiques: The Revived Books CE by Elefun wasn't anything like Jeronimo. I only played a few mins of it, enough to find that touch didn't work properly and that I couldn't turn BBTs and/or cursor changes off (which, after the latest Redemption game, has turned almost into a must for me) and, given that I loved Jeronimo and could at least get that CE with my coupon code, I thought I'd go to bed and worry about The Revived Books another day.
So thanks, Lily, for prompting me to go check out the betas!
