Re: Finish your games challenge

I tried Imperial Island: Birth of an Empire, the new M3 and I love it.  It is very colorful with lovely graphics.  The game play is very smooth, and very interesting, each level had a different task required..  I found it rather challenging even in the early levels, I was playing timed.  I think when I buy the game I will play it Untimed and maybe play it Timed during a replay.  I liked the building aspects of the game and the buildings etc looked really nice.  I will buy it on bonus punch Monday.

Tirama - congrats on finishing Asian Riddles so quickly.

Sunshine - congrats on finishing Cruel Tales.  I am also glad that you are enjoying Settlement Colossus.

Hi Sue - glad you got your 3 replacement codes.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I tried Imperial Island as well. I played in Untimed just to see how the mechanics of it were. I don't really understand the random bombs that show up but the icons are clear so you can tell the difference. Seems to have a lot of buildings to it .

I am going to demo When in Rome tomorrow. Anyone try it ?

Re: Finish your games challenge

Gogols2, not only have I tried When in Rome, I bought it last Monday on BOGOF BP Monday! Haven't played it yet, though. As for Imperial Island: Birth of an Empire, those bombs aren't random! When you make a match with 4 or 5 - I can't remember now - you get a bomb and it explodes in 3 seconds, I think. So you have 3 seconds to either make a swap with it or move it down lower if you need it there. Otherwise, it just explodes where it is.

Tirama, I also loved Imperial Island: Birth of an Empire and it's on my To Buy list. I just tried it in Untimed Mode and after a few levels it was already really challenging, even though the boards are small, so I hate to think how difficult it would be in Timed! Or maybe I'm just not that good at M3s.  But one thing that added to the difficulty, at least for me, was that a lot of the icons were the same gold colour and I had to look really closely to work out which ones were which.

And congrats on finishing Asian Riddles. But I can't believe it never got beyond 10x15 boards! I didn't get it 'cause when I played the demo I was bored. Now I'm really glad I didn't get it as I love the really large boards that take a long time and lots of thought to complete.

sunshinej, have fun with Settlement Colossus! I loved it when I played it. I have Cruel Tales: Red Riding Hood but, of course, I haven't played it yet.

lilyr, I hope you love Nearwood as much as I'm loving it when you play it. Just looking at all the gorgeous scenes would be enough. And I haven't forgotten about your PM; I'm just trying to think of what you could take as pressies.

Does anyone know how to take screenshots of scenes in games as the wallpapers in Nearwood aren't the best scenes that are in the game imho.

Hi Barre! Yes, I'm glad I got the 3 codes as well. Now I'm just waiting to hear back about not being able to use them for Premium and Platinum games.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Woohoo!!!!!!!! I just checked out my emails and this is GameHouse's response ...

"Usually coupons cannot be used on Premium or Platinum Games. Considering your case as an special one, we have allowed you to use the coupons to purchase Premium or Platinum games."

So, once again, I've got the usual great help from their CS. That other guy must have been having a really bad day or something, as he's the only one I've ever come across who wasn't totally helpful and understanding.

Now I just have to get the Apothecarium PE to download to see if I can see what the extras are and decide whether to get that and another game I couldn't download, or just get 3 different SEs. Ah, decisions, decisions ... and stupid computer games that won't download.

Uuurk!  BFG is helping me out with the buying urge.

The TGT is the Casino.  Not a gambler......

The most I ever gambled was was $20.00 someone else gave me to bet for them (Las Vegas) and 5 cents of my own at a Gulfcoast waterfront casino that got smashed to smithereens in Katrina.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I clicked on the Big Fish Casino and went to their game page saw it was a free to play game and exited out and now it is on my game manager.  I didn't d/l anything.

When I got done playing some more of Settlement Colossus I saw the Get tips in forums button was back.

I had to go to Control Panel to delete the Casino - to "programs, delete"

Re: Finish your games challenge

It must be something new that Big Fish is trying.  Having free to play games automatically appear in the game manager.  Reading the comments over there it is not well received.

jkuci...I will try to delete it like you did.

I've been playing Sudoku Latin Squares off and on, and have now completed all the easy and medium level difficulty latin squares, all 1,050 of them.

Here's a link to a post in one of BFG forums.  Scroll down to Rebecca Lily's post.
