Re: Finish your games challenge

Wow, I had no idea about the waiting until Monday trick. I have 1 gcc and haven't decided yet if I'll get anything, but if I do I'll definitely use this trick.

Thanks for the info on Farmscapes everyone. I ended up not buying it, but just because I've decided I really shouldn't spend any more money on things like games for the rest of this month. I will put it on my list of games I'd like and watch for it going on sale again.

Evy sounds interesting. I'll put that on my list of games to try. I don't tend to play marble poppers because I'm not very good at them. I like them well enough though, and this one sounds like a good one to try.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I LOVE Wandering Willows. I play it over and over.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Barre,Finders is more like Island Castaway. You collect resources and do quests. Make sure you don´t do things before you´re given them as a quest. I thought I was smart and made a grill (to get more food) and then made a second one, the minute after I got a quest to make two grills so all the I suddenly had four! I made that mistake many times on the first island and when you move to the next all your items are left on the first one.
But be warned: it was very confusing at the start!
I also love Settlement Colossus

Re: Finish your games challenge

jen - I have never tried Wandering Willows but I will d/l the demo and see if I like it.

Anki - thanks for feedback, I love Island Castaway and I have both 1 & 2.  I d/l Finders and will try the demo later.  Thanks for the tip about the quests, I'll try not to make that mistake....it reminds me a little of City of Fools where we shouldn't do a task until we are asked to do it by the people.

catlady - Settlement Colossus is nothing like Promised Land.  Perhaps you should d/l it and try the demo to see if you will like it?  It is fun and has beautiful graphics in the HOS.  Good replay value. Highly recommended.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Ok, I'll download the demo to Settlement Colossus. GIve it a try after I'm finished with work for the day.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I'd played  Settlement Colossus  and loved it,  apparently before BF,
since it was not in my "purchased"  list.  It is now;  I bought it  ( and
Inspector Parker)  in the BOGO  sale.  I'd forgotten how gorgeous the graphics are,  though photographic.  You feel as though you could step right into the scene!

Re: Finish your games challenge

A reminder for anyone waiting until tomorrow to get your games in the BOGOF sale on BP Monday (as I am) -

Don't forget to always make note of the codes as you won't see them on BFG on Monday - so for today APPLE for CEs and RECESS for SEs.

And you can use these codes for the entire 24 hours following the end of the sale, ie. until 11:59 pm Monday night BFG time (or, Anki, 09:00 Tuesday morning your time in Sweden and my time in Germany, so after you get home on Monday would be okay). And, if BFG has suddenly decided to stop it (although apparently the mods knew about it and didn't do anything) then there'll probably be another BOGOF sale next month, judging by the last few months. It's always a risk but I've been doing it for ages and never had a problem.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Good point about noting the codes. I would have forgotten to do that!

Sue, thanks for posting that information for us.  Good to know I don't have to wait up past midnight to do it.

Re: Finish your games challenge

My resolve is starting to crumble.  Those extra Monday bonus punches.  I have 2 PCCs for 2 games, 4 punches.  1GCC for 2 games 4 punches.  That gives me a free PCC and 2 leftover punches.  Borrow a PCC and redeem with the free one for 2 more games, 4 more punches to fill the 2nd card.  Pay back PCC.  Grand total $6.99 for rejoining, and I get 6 SEs.  I think I've done the math right and it sounds pretty good!  I'm thinking
Redemption Cemetary Salvation
Evy
Legends of the EAst
Stray Souls
Apothecarium
Namariel
Wandering Willows
9 Clues

There are others I am debating about the CE versions because of morphs and collectibles, I'll worry about buying them this winter.  Are any of these too HO heavy?

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Math looks good Wendy.  If you need a PCC, let me know and I'll PM it to you.
