Hello all. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.
Wendy - re Christmas Carol, if there aren't a lot of puzzles and not a lot of HO scenes, what is the gameplay?
I just finished playing Nevertales. I played for about 7.5 hours including all the bonus chapters. I did miss one rose and pretty much all the morphs as I didn't realize until near the end that there were any! I did appreciate the fact that you could go back in and get them along with the missed rose. How in the world do you get three stars in an HO scene? I had one scene that took me 36 secs, 100% accuracy and I still only got one star. It was the only scene I got a star in. Did anyone get stars? It was a very good game. I loved the storybook scenes and the narrator was good. Lots of interactive stuff. I hope you enjoy it Wendy.
I started Love Story the Way Home. I wanted a nice game. No asylums, mad docs or scary things. I didn't get any games on this sale. I thought about it but figured I really don't need anything and can wait to see if there is a BOGOF in the new year. I don't have any hanging chad as I only bought three games this month on a BPM. I think that is a record for me. I finished 9 (I doubt I'll get Love Story done by the end of the month.

Oscar, I know I read that you can replay the HOs after the game is over to get the three stars, don't know if that's what you're doing or not.

I did go in and replayed as I was looking for the morphs, but only got the one star on the 36 sec one. So I'm not really sure what you have to do to earn those stars.

Oh apparently you have to be very speedy 22 secs or less some 15 secs. In the forum people are saying they played them over and over until the list was memorized and they could do it in no time play. THose are very lengthy lists. So kudos to those who managed it. lol I often have an issue with 3 objects in 5 or 10 secs, so I'm not even going to pursue that achievement.

I don't keep that great of records but I think I've gotten14 CEs, 62 SEs, and purchased 4 GCCs at full price for January, March, October, and December memberships. I purchased one CE set earlier and one set just now for the $1.99 extra. I really don't think I've spent any other real money, incredible as that seems. So $32 for 76 games, but I don't really know how many GCCs I used in BOGOs without doing a lot of wading. I've made a few friends who only buy CEs and don't like other types of games so they send me an expiring PCC code every now and then. If I can I use them for BPM, this month worked out great for me, I think I was given 4 codes, that's why I decided to rejoin for the month, can't stand losing 8 punches, you can actually get 2 games from 8 punches, use the free PCC you earn and borrow/repay a PCC for the last two punches. It's been so nice being able to get a new game again. I know it doesn't make any difference if I'm playing a new one or an old one, but it just feels nice

I hope everyone had a good holiday.
I finished The Fog. It was a good game except that I didn't understand the ending at all. Also, by the end I totally forgot about what the story was about. You are a mother who wakes up from a car accident with her child missing and you are looking for her. As you start exploring you find out that there was an experiment codename The Fog that drove the residents nuts. I just wish the ending was better explained.
Started on Christmas Stories. What a fun game with so much to do.

I hope everyone who celebrates had a very Happy Christmas. Mine was great. Early wishes for a safe and Happy New Year as well!
The only game I finished lately is Weather Lord, which I liked a good deal. Not very hard and pretty short, but that was fine with me. I only paid $0.99 for it. (It's still on sale for $0.99 at Shockwave)

Hi, Sunshine and Jen
I have Weather Lord but I only played a bit of the demo and then got out of the TM mood. Haven't done one in ages. I liked how different it is. They put out a sequel but I thought I'd wait until I actually finished the first one. I haven't decided about The Fog yet. I hate when they have a good plot idea and then it disappears along the way. The story is a big part of my enjoyment.
I did my buying for the day, and year.
Madam Fate CE
Nevertales CE

Cursery SE

Combined with the 4 punches I had, that gave me 18, so 3 more PCCs Now I just need a SE BOGO and I'm good to go. Actually, I'm thinking maybe I ought to cash in those 3 PCCs today, what if they quit doing BPM next year? I have a list of games, so maybe I'll do that.

Jen, thanks for the suggestion of A Dark Room. What a strange little game that is. Definitely all about the game play and not the scenery.
I have played quite a few of the Escape the Room kind of games. Some I do pretty well at some not so much. Played most of them in the online section at big fish.
Gov - You're welcome. And yes, it's a very strange game, but I had a lot of fun figuring it out.
I forgot BFG had an online game section. Maybe I'll check some out there. Once in a while I can play through a whole room escape game without needing hints, but usually I need to go to the walkthrough at least a couple times.
