Noelle Tiger Eye 1 the riddle box was quite good. I never played the second one.
Yes, Tiger Eye 1 was good. I've replayed it several times. I even read the book it was based on.
But the second game in the series was not good. It sort of followed the book but the artwork was not good at all. It was so bad it was distracting to me.
My recomendation: play the first game and then read the book - skip the 2nd game.I liked the second one just fine. It had a lot of disappointed reviews, but I liked it. I think I gave it 4 stars. No HOs IIRC.
Wow, that was one game that stuck out from all the rest because I disliked it so much. Maybe its because I was so looking forward to it. I bought it straight from the dev as soon as it was released. I really felt let down.
Well they make all sorts of games so, different folks can enjoy them. I'm glad you liked it. I think that dev deserved to have more consideration for the work they put into both games.

BFG has a 2 for 1 sale for CE and SE games this weekend.
I am going to stick to my pledge to myself: no cash buys.
I have 2 credits and 4 punches. If I wouldn't use one of them on a game then, I really didn't want it that badly.
Just checked and wasn't surprised. I'm also not buying since I just bought some on the Artifex Mundi sale and plan to wait till Monday to use up some of my PCC's. I'm sure these will become more frequent to lure in new customers to make up for the loss or lure back the ones who recently cancelled.
Heading to my folks' house today to spend the day while they install the new AC and dropping off my folks' dog at the Vet so they can do the 3-part test to determine if he has Cushing's disease. He's pretty much back to normal from the pain on Monday but drinking lots of water which is one of the signs. He's a 14 yo small white poodle (6#) and they say they can live to 18 yrs so want to do whatever needs to be done as the loss of him would be so hard for my folks right now.
Will check in when I get home late this evening. Have a good day everyone!

Wow, I was so surprised to see a BOGO sale this morning. However, like most of you, lately I haven't felt like buying any games because I still have so many that I bought and have no time to play them. I only have i gcc but I do have pccs. If anyone wants to take advantage of the sale, you can wait until Monday and get it for the BOGO price and get bonus punches. You wait until past midnight on Sunday, and the code still works on Monday so you get bonus punches and BOGO price. That is more worth it.

teeitup46ok - BF has been having BOGO's every mnth since May, so this is just their regularly scheduled August twofer. Hope the test on the dog go well.
I bought 2 ganes so far:
Grim Tales: Bloody Mary Collector's Edition
Awakening: The Sunhook Spire Collector's Edition
Need to do some demos. I'll probably get another 2, which will leave me with (gulp) only 4 half-price credits left. And if people think I'm picky about games now, just wait until I have to start using my full-price credits.

barregar - I've thought about waiting until the first stroke of Monday but I'm afraid I'll either fall asleep and not wake up in time for the codes to work or BF will have tightened up things and I'll miss out on a sale and have to wait another month for games. I'm finishing my CE's now at a rate faster tha I buy them and will have to start replaying some. I still have 7 CE's that I have played at least once, but not since this challenge began.
As far as SE's are concerned, I'm getting down to the ones that take me longer than a day, and I've had enough pcc's thanks to BPM that I've been getting 6 of those a month.
I think it's too soon for BF to assess just how many customers are really gone. People are going to need more than a few days to determine whether thye're really found greener pastures. A lot of the people making the most noise about quitting were non-HOG fans and they weren't really buying very much anyway.
I wouldn't object to a half-price credit sale (or even a 25% off GCC's sale) on Labor Day if it's offered as a peace gesture, however.

I was thinking about doing that but it's 3am here on the East Coast. I'm going to end up sticking to my game plan of no membership until....copied from an email BF sent me recently... Credit(s) will expire on: 11/10/13 at 01:40:14 PM PST. So I will rejoin late October if there's a good sale, otherwise wait until November. Notice they have the exp. date down to the second(whistle icon)! I have a couple PCCs people have given me, so I can get a game or two over the next couple months. I just have to force myself not to worry about the bonus punches. These were gifts, I don't need BPs. I think I will get the Evy:magic spheres game. It's a Marble Popper with RPG/M3 elements. I've never really played a Marble Popper before, It got rave reviews, even from the non MP crowd. It's a small download so I can manage it. For the other, I was thinking either Wandering Willows or another Solitaire game. I just love the Solitaires. Has anyone played Crime Solitaire?

I might try the wait until Monday trick next month if there's a BOGO. Took a look at my PCC's that are expiring next month, and 4 extra punches earned if buying 4 CE's would work out very nicely as far as filling cards.
The BF website is totally down. I had bought 2 more games:
Nearwood Collector's Edition
Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink Collector's Edition
and the last one was installing when poof! no connection with BF.

I know there is a couple of CEs I want so I'll probably pick them up. I'm time zone challenged so I won't wait until the witching hour. I'd probably end up mucking that up.

Wendy, I got Evy: Magic Spheres even though I had absolutely no interest in another marble popper where they move in a line. And normally whenever I buy a game it goes at the end of my looooooooooong unplayed list, waiting for me to get around to it. One recent exception to this was Apothecarium, when I loved it so much I bought it and played it straight through. Then I did the same with Evy. It starts out really easy but then some of the later levels are really challenging, especially when it takes you awhile to work out how to win the level, as you're playing against the computer. But it's not timed at all so you can take as long as you want to plan your moves and can replay each level as many times as you want until you win. I also replay different levels while I'm watching TV.
I played Wandering Willows ages ago and loved it! it's one of those games that just go on and on and on. I was really sad when it finished but haven't replayed it simply because it takes so long, as I have so many unplayed games.
As for Crime Solitaire, I didn't like it at all and so never bought it. I only played a bit of the demo. A friend of mine also didn't like it. I think there are a lot of much better solitaire games (of which I have a few). But that's not to say that you won't love it.
