lilyr -  my code for Awakening is 234781

In the game forums on BF, there's a thread where people looking for friends have listed their codes.  Same thing for Road Trip.  And you can get friends/neighbors from the list in the games.  I've got 11 friends so far in Road Trip (that's two achievements worth) and even though having friends hasn't shown up as an achievement in Awakening, I'm accepting all requests.

At some point, you'll receive a quest to choose an avatar.  When you click on your avatar (it will be somewhere on the top left of the screen, you can see your code.

As you progress in the game, a menu will open up on the right hand side of the screen.  When you receive a quest to acquire a friend, the frien button will unlock.

There are two ways you can request friends.  At some point during the day, when you click on the friend button, you will see a list of 5 names.  You can send each of them a request.  You can also send a request to a specific person if you know their number.  There's a thread in the game forum at BF where people have been listing their codes.  There's no way in the game for you to look up anybody's number.

I have not received the quest to acquire a friend so the friend button is not unlucked for me yet.
Once I get it unlocked, I can request for you guys to be my friends just by listing your numbers?  So far I 've taken down the numbers for you, Wendy, and Govs.  I don't know what is lilyr's number, she only mentioned her name as anneclaire.
Well, I must say this is getting to be fun....it's sort of like a group play.

Once you get the friends button, just click on it.  A window opens up and there's a button to click to add friends by friend code.  Type the number in (don't use spaces) and a generic e-mail is sent saying that you want to be friends.  Then the receiver clicks accept or decline.  

So far, I've only seen one quest that asks you to send an e-mail.  And this is the perfect time of the year for it: you can wish somebody a happy New Year.  If a "friend" gets nasty or bombards you with unwanted mail, you can delete the "friend" by clicking on the x in their box.

Anybody else going to take the plunge?

I think I should take Boomzap's hint and stop playing both of their F2Ps.  Items that I get through HO scenes in ROAD TRIP disappear and don't go into my inventory/collectibles.  I don't get the magnifying glass on the Store in AWAKENING.  If I click on the Store nothing happens.  I can't do anything to advance in the game until I can upgrade the Store.  I've sent emails to Monika at Boomzap.  I'm anneclaire in AWAKENING.  My code is 104752.
