stusue...Alex Hunter is at GameHouse today. I d/l using my funpass it looks good and has all the bells & whistles that the BF game has.
Started Nearwood yesterday. What a beautiful game. Stuck on a flower puzzle at the parents house right now.
sunshinej, thanks for letting me know about Alex Hunter at GameHouse. I check every single site I get games from every single day as they always have some sort of sale on, but somehow today I managed to check every single site ... apart from GameHouse. I noticed, though, that it's a Platinum (CE) game on GH whereas it's just an SE on BFG. I wonder why...
I finally decided which Platinum game I wanted to get with my last Platinum coupon code and just got it ... Gardens Inc. 2 - The Road to Fame PE (not yet on BFG). Woo hoo! I loved the first one and this one seems more of the same with heaps of trophies and an SG! I've finished Hollywood and have started on Arizona but it got too frantic for my poor little laptop so I'll have to start it again on my PC. But I suppose I should really finish the first one before I continue on with the second...
Enjoy Nearwood, sunshinej! Have you worked out the flower puzzle yet?

I'm really liking Awakenings Kingdoms. It took a while to get the hang of what was going on. I have Tirama as a friend now I'm on level 10, almost 11, and I'm in a bidding war with someone over a Jewel Egg. There's collections you can complete and cash in for various resources, if you need an item you can buy it with diamonds(I think) or look for it in an auction. An egg set cashes in for 300 gold, it's up to around 50 now, but since you need 5 different eggs I figure the value of any one egg is only 60, but I only have one jewel egg and 4 or more of all the others. I only put a few things up for auction to fulfill a quest, I just hate to sell anything, I might need it later
I just used an energy drink to open up a new HO scene and I can't wait to go explore it but I have to wait for more energy, although sometimes you get rewarded with energy drinks in an HO so I have a few in reserve. I have to be careful now because I'm almost to the next level and you want to be almost empty of energy when you level up because it increased your energy and fills it up. I think I'm starting to get addicted
I never really got into Found, this one seems easier to understand. I figure I can play it until the spring when I leave for work, I don't know how much data it will use, I only get 5 Gigs a month when I'm traveling. It's good for now, I play for a half hour or so in the morning, if I'm close to achieving something I can usually do a HO scene or two in the afternoon, then again in the evening. Whenever you level up you can get about another half hour out of it. I need to go play my real game again, Black Water here I come.

Do want to get a couple of SE's I've read you all talking about.
Thanks, sunshine and Tirama ~ I do value my time with them as they are both 89 and I know I am luckier than most.
Tee. what SEs do you want to get? Don't worry, I know all about curiosity and the cat...
I also realise how lucky I am. My dad died years ago but my mum - also 89 - is still alive and kicking. But we've also been through a lot with her this past month. She's been really sick and thought her cancer had returned. However, after 2 hospital stays, an MRI, a full-body CT scan, heaps of blood tests, etc, they cleared her of any more cancer (although they have to keep an eye on a spot on her lung) but didn't know what was making her so dizzy and sick. They eventually decided she should see the Head of Neurology that she saw earlier this year about her vertigo. Luckily he lives just around the corner from her and so makes house calls - and doesn't charge her anything! This morning he turned up at her door before breakfast on his way to the beach to go swimming (my mum lives on the beach and he goes swimming right in front of her place every morning), only wearing his tiny little swimming costume. But at least he's confirmed that it's just a different sort of vertigo, so my mum feels confident enough to start driving herself around again. She lives on her own, with no help, and only gave up work last year, at 88, after having a mastectomy when she found out she had breast cancer. In a few weeks she's off for a cruise circumnavigating Australia on the QEII. So I also realise how lucky I am to have my mum still around. Except my mum wants me back home in Sydney permanently...

Wendy, I'm glad you're having fun with Awakenings Kingdoms. Good luck with the Jewel Egg!
Are you enjoying Black Water just as much?

Hi, Wendy. I'm enjoying the Awakening game, now that the first building is completed (24 hours later). I love having the squabbit as your helper/hint button. I wonder if this game will eventually have achievements for collecting friends, or just quests.
Are you playing Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'? I really like the way BoomZap has set up their games, wonder if they'll be a Dana Knightstone one?

Tee, I am so sorry to hear about your parents. I am glad you are able to spend as much time as you can with them. I'm sure they appreciate you and love you for it.
Tirama, thank you for your kind thoughts. This is my third Christmas alone and I will try not to be depressed, but to only remember the happy times. I find that if I watch Christmas movies during this time they always make me cry.....did that a few nights' ago....some of those movies are really sad... involving a loved one dying...so it brings back very sad memories. I won't be having any fancy dinner since it's just me.
Sue, you are getting to be such an enabler!!!! ...mentioning all those deals at other places. I will not be tempted...I only buy from BF and I've already got too many games and not enough time to catch up and play all of them. They seem to be releasing so many nice new games lately. I tried and really like The Fog and Alex Hunter, both Alawar games. I will be getting them with pccs on BPM, just not sure exactly which Monday but definitely in Dec. because I don't know if they will still have BPM next year.
I am not playing any of the FTP games, no matter how good they may be....don't want to get addicted to it. I am satisfied with the games that I have. Thanks, Sue, for mentioning Gardens Inc 2: The Road to Fame....yay, looking forward to that one because I loved the first one.
Wendy, glad that you are having fun with Awakening Kingdoms and all the other FTP games. Hope you enjoy Black Water as much as I did when I played it.

I forgot to mention I tried Farmscapes 2 and it plays fine on my pc. I love it and can't wait to get it. Right now I am also playing Tales of Lagoona 2: Orphans of the Ocean and it's so much fun with all the HOS, mini-games and decorating etc. That game will take me a while to finish.

Hello all! I finished Suburban Mysteries Labyrinth of the Past and I'm not really sure if I liked it or hated it. Some of the game play was annoying. eg you would finish a HO scene and it would stay open because in some of them you needed to return to get other objects, although you never knew what or if it was one that you had to return to. It didn't seem to play logically imo. And the dialogue got very repetitive. I'm on the fence about it, Some things I really enjoyed others made me think I could have happily trashed the game. I'm not sure what I'll play next, I'm feeling a little burned out. I find this time of year depressing. Like Barr I torture myself watching the Christmas movies. I will be surrounded by people on Xmas day but still feel very much alone if that makes sense. I haven't had the personal loss that Barr has so I'm not comparing the two but I am sad this time of year and have been for many many years. I'm not sure why or what is missing for me.
Tee, I am sorry about your folks. I'm glad you all had a good time at the party. I can relate in some sense. My father has been recently diagnosed with a cognitive impairment. Pretty much early stages of dementia. I don't live very close to them which is unfortunate but I try to get there as much as I can. Can I ask if your mom had any sort of surgery or injury that was a precursor to the dementia? It seems to be a recurring thing that comes up when I talk to people. My dad had a hernia op that led to a blood clot and seemed to really go downhill after. He is only 74. My grandpa, touch wood, is in much better physical and mental health at 94. Dad seems to be really failing and getting depressed imo.

Now back to the gaming :
I have finished 12 Labours of Hercules. It was very fun but short.
I´m playing Awakening and it´s fun. I´m on level 48 in FarmUp.
Awem has released Letters from Nowhere: Hidden Mystery on Ipad and Iphone.
It´s also FTP. I tried it yesterday and it was fun (it has the same scenes as LFN), but I never got the hang of how the energy filling worked. I played about an hour and never had a problem with that. I´m gonna continue with it later today. It also had some extras for signing in every day.
