Funny, I have also been thinking a lot of Puzzledone the last days too!
Are there some strange energies on our forum
I was thinking of asking Megwoman to send her an email.

stusue, I already got The Fog from BFG with a PCC but thanks for the tip anyway, they are always appreciated

I have finished Stray Souls: Stolen Memories SE. I refused to buy the CE because it wasn´t the full version on BFG and I wouldn´t buy a CE for $24.95 nowadays at Alawar...
I liked it very much. And in the end I even got tears in my eyes
I get so immersed when I play with my earphones...

You're more than welcome, Anki. Legacy Games always has 2 games on sale for $2.95 when they're first released on their site and each changes each week, but different days. So I'll post each new $2.95 game as it's added to their site for anyone who's interested. One changes on Tuesday and the other on Friday.

Barre, I'm curious. Why don't you do betas anymore?
![]()
Hi Sue, I don't do betas because to me it's a waste of time. Betas are usually for us to test and see if there are any glitches in the game, that's what I think, and there were a couple of times when I did a beta that had a glitch and screwed up my computer. So I figure that betas are not to my benefit, more for BF's benefit to see if the game works properly. Hence I have decided not to do any more betas...I'll just wait for the game to come out when it's tested by others....so that I do not put my pc at risk
...that is purely my opinion.
Barre, I totally understand if you've had problems. Of the betas I've done only 2 have had glitches - one right at the beginning that just needed a reinstall; the other just a tiny glitch that didn't affect the gameplay - but no beta has ever affected my computer.
But I'm not sure if they're checking for glitches because the first question in the survey is whether or not you could play the game without any major glitches and, as soon as you click on 'No' if you had a problem, the survey closes and you can't say anything about the game, even if you managed to play it! And they never ask about any glitches as, if you had any, you can't do the survey, which I find odd. So the second time I had a glitch I said 'Yes' and then told them about it in the survey. I think the alpha tests are for glitches and the beta tests are just to see what people think of the game, as we often get them only a few days before they're released (at least once only the day before!).
ETA: I forgot to say ... HI, BARRE! ** big wave **

Stusue, how did you like Legacy Witch Island. I thought I read it had lots of minis, which I like.
Wendy, having found it disappointingly easy when I demoed it, I decided not to buy it but, fortunately, GameHouse had it and I was able to play it using my FunPass. I'd wanted to play it as the graphics are gorgeous and it seemed like a fun, albeit easy, HOPA. It also had achievements and collectibles.
So, I played it and it is incredibly easy and would be great for beginners. The minigames - of which there are heaps! - were also super, super easy and I think the HOSs as well but I can't remember those so well. The collectibles are huge glowing insects that can't be missed so they were of no interest to me.
However, one of the achievements was to finish all the extra levels in the bonus play (where you can replay all the minigames) of those games that had them. And I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't get that achievement as the extra levels in 2 of the games were so impossible to get in the time (at least for me ) that I gave up and moved on to another game.
So, if you want a really easy, linear game with super easy minigames and not much toing and froing, but with super gorgeous graphics, then I'd recommend this game. However, if you want any sort of challenge then I'd suggest you bypass this game and choose another. I must admit that I was totally flummoxed by all the great reviews on BFG after I'd demoed it on GameHouse, expecting everyone to pan it for being so easy. But no, everyone seems to have loved it. So I'd suggest you try it yourself and see if the difficulty is okay for you or too easy as this is, of course, only my opinion.

Well, I took the plunge and started my first F2P game, Antique Road Trip: American Dreamin'. So far, I'm enjoying it more than the original games. I'm only on level 5, waiting for my steps to be built, which will give me enough experience points to level up and get more energy.

Thanks, Stusue, I don't like super easy so I will give that one a pass.
Tirama, some of the FTP are nice games, and don't require money at all, I don't understand how they make money. In Farm Up I have 600 gold coins stashed, enough to do anything I want, and I have so much stored energy that I can pretty much play as long as I want. In the earlier levels I had to be patient and wait a lot but once you figure things out you're good to go. And the Fairway game is another good one, you earn golf bucks to buy the power ups, the only one I would want that you have to actually buy is only 99 cents. I haven't played in ages so I don't know about the bonus courses, but it's a nice game, and free!
I started Mystery of the Ancients Curse of the Black Water CE. It's pretty good, the HOs are crystal clear, but it's not giving me some achievements, the find x things in x seconds in a HO. I've found the 3, or 5, and hit them right after another, but no acknowledgement. I've also done it from the moment the HO opens, I know I must have gotten 3, but still nothing. I've found all the turtles and not used a hint or skipped a puzzle so far.

Another FTP as TGT. Weren't we promised that wouldn't happen? I read that this one requires an internet connection to play, I can only play that type in the winter, anyway.
