Re: Finish your games challenge

Don't worry, lilyr, I only played about half of those games this week from start to finish; the other half I'd started last week and just had to finish.  But what a pity you forgot about Dark Angels!  GameHouse seems to be getting SEs before BFG now so there's a good chance it'll be offered by BFG soon.  And Midnight Macabre: Mystery of the Elephant is also on GameHouse so should also be on BFG soon.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Stusue, how did you like Legacy Witch Island.  I thought I read it had lots of minis, which I like.

I'm almost done with Fear for Sale Nightmare Cinema but... the power went off for one second, and when I restarted the computer and the game, I had lost all my inventory  And the map was all different.  It shows where there are rooms to do stuff, and I had about 4 of them with marks and now they're all greyed out and padlocked, I can't jump to them.  I didn't try walking there, I don't know why not but I restarted, that didn't work, so now I'm reinstalling.  I sure hope my wrench is there

Barre, I'm curious.  Why don't you do betas anymore?

Hi Sue, I don't do betas because to me it's a waste of time.  Betas are usually for us to test and see if there are any glitches in the game, that's what I think, and there were a couple of times when I did a beta that had a glitch and screwed up my computer.  So I figure that betas are not to my benefit, more for BF's benefit to see if the game works properly.   Hence I have decided not to do any more betas...I'll just wait for the game to come out when it's tested by others....so that I do not put my pc at risk ...that is purely my opinion.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I just finished Legends of the East: The Cobra's Eye.  What a fantastic game!!!!!  I really enjoyed myself.  It is quite a long game, perhaps 6 hours long, and there were so many puzzles in every scene, I think the puzzles were more than the HOS.  Graphics are crisp and clear, very well done.  Some of the puzzles were easy, some new, a few were difficult, one really had me scratching my head and trying for a long time.  I didn't think to check the WT (don't like to get out of a game while playing to check).  Maybe you smart people can do the difficult puzzles better than I could.  Lots of locations but there was a transporter map.  I only bought the SE because the CE does not have any extras like collectibles or morphs.

Next up I will play Final Cut: Encore CE.    My plan is to play 1 SE followed by 1 CE.

Wendy, I loved Fear for Sale: Nightmare Cinema CE.  I really enjoyed looking for all the morphs and collectibles.  I thought the game had some unique moments.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I just started Enigmatis: The Mists of Ravenwood.  It has the evidence board just like the first game but has gameplay similar to the Nightmares from the Deep series (bring back tokens to a specific place and learn a piece of the back story).  So far, I'm liking it a lot.

lilyr - maybe some of us could do a group play of one of the F2P games.  I wonder how many firends you need for the game to be happy?

Re: Finish your games challenge

Tirama -- In ROAD TRIP you get an achievement for having 3 friends.  Since the real reason is to suck more people into the game and spend RL money I don't think it matters (except for achievements).  Sorry but I would NEVER ask anyone to play a F2P.

I did pick away at the puzzle in DEVIL'S TRIANGLE and got it finished.  I didn't really enjoy this game.  Lots of wandering around and tasks to no real purpose.  The story seemed blah too.  AMAZON was so much better!

Re: Finish your games challenge

Reinstall didn't work, I'm totally stuck on Chapter 6 of 7.  Sent a Dr. Felix in, but I don't expect there's anything they can do about it.  I don't expect a replacement, either, it wasn't their fault at all, I'm just hoping against hope there's a way to recover my inventory but I doubt it.  I don't want to replay the whole game right away, either, so that really sucks.  Speaking of sucking, did anybody try the new FTP Design game?  I played til level3 and was totally bored.  Didn't seem to really be a game.  Anybody go any farther?  Does it get better?
I don't get to demo Botanica until morning, but I know I want the SE of it, loved the first one.

Re: Finish your games challenge

hiii allllll...we finally got a tree today! Christmas is really weird this year with my fiance not being here and my brother isn't coming home for any holidays and my mom is having shoulder surgery so its just been a weird holiday season. The tree is in the stand but hasn't been decorated or anything. Im just not feeling it this year...

I just finished Castle-Never judge a book by its cover and I liked this game a whole lot more before I watched the show. I had no idea what the show was or who the characters were when I demoed it and then I went to watch it to see and fell in love with the show and watched it all and Im all caught up except season 6 episode 10, the current one. But now that I love it and know how they sound, not having voiceovers was a huge killer for me. I could hear their voices in my head. It didn't live up to the show so I should have played it before watching the show...sigh...it was slow moving too.

Im currently playing Strange Discoveries-Aurora Peak SE and so far its quite interesting. Kind of like a botanica thing with the weird crystal wonders. I really didn't care for the first botanica. I bought it sight unseen since it was boomzap but then found myself quite bored with it so Im hestitant to get excited about this newest one. In fact I haven't even bothered to download it yet. I'll get to it later.

I liked Nightmare Cinema but found it kind of confusing as they bring back characters from the past 2 games and I had forgotten what happened in those so that was my only big criticism. I loved that game though. it was just so fun. I love Elefun games they always have the best collectibles too!

I realized the other day that I really miss Puzzled aka Judy. I have her email and can write her but she's long winded like me and I loved reading her posts. I hope she is doing okay.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I've been thinking a lot about Puzzled One the last few days, too. Maybe you should email her. I actually started The Promised Land because of thinking of her, she loved it.
