Re: Finish your games challenge

I could have sworn I posted something here yesterday,  but can't find it.  I must have forgotten to hit submit.  Anyway,  I finished a couple of games:  Myths  Stolen Spring SE;  hope I didn't miss too much;  enjoyed the game.  Also  Vampire Ventures,  a fun M3  with a story I pretty much ignored.  I'm excited about  Island Tribe 5,  but will force myself to hold off till Monday.  New games I'm currently playing:  Northern Tales 2,  Moaiacs Galore,  Heroes of Solitarea,  Far Kingdoms.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Hey, Barre, our photo/picture expert, could you pretty please post a photo of your mugs as I'd love to see what they're like as I think different towns here have different ones?    And maybe a photo of your Christmas market, if you go back?  I haven't been well enough to go in this year (I'm hoping Friday) but I assume the mugs will be the same.  But I want a RED one!    I've only got an olive green one, as well as forest green, marine blue, coral, brown, and a white boot-shaped one.

I'm glad you liked all the German food!    I always get a tuna and cheese crepe (although I couldn't find one last year), a banana and chocolate crepe, a bread roll filled with pork, and some teeny, tiny, Dutch baby pancakes called poffertjes with custard - they're SO yummy! - although not all at the same time, of course.  But they're all things that I like that we only get at the markets.  And not forgetting my After Eight fav special - hot cocoa with peppermint liqueur.    I don't eat a Bratwurst hotdog there as we have little stalls with them all over the inner town all year round, which you get with French fries in paper cones, mayonnaise and curry ketchup.  Yummo.

Sue, thanks for your comments.  The reason I have fewer unplayed games is because you buy SO MUCH more games than I do since you buy from all over the place   I only buy my games from BF and that's enough for me.  You cannot be considered a failure if you haven't played your games yet because you have so many, it is understandable.

Barre, don't you buy adventure games from other sites?  Other than my FunPass on GameHouse I generally just get adventure games from other sites, unless I find some casual games at unbeatable prices on other sites.  I generally get all my casual games from BFG and get others that BFG doesn't have from other sites.

But, unfortunately, what stops me from shortening my To Play list is my health as I'm rarely well enough to play any games that require any sort of thought or concentration, when I just play things like really easy M3s or repetitive TMs.  But right now I'm able to play some normal HOPAs and so am making the most of it!

Re: Finish your games challenge

sandhan, you did post yesterday, but under GameHouse Monthly FunPass Special Deal instead of here.  I thought it was odd when I saw it there.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Hi Sue, here are some pictures of the Vancouver mugs.

these are the only 2 that I have.  I missed the green one shown below

I have to say that some of the German guys looking after the stalls were so handsome,  especially the one at the bratwurst stall !!!!!
I wanted to try the bread roll filled with pork, and also the potato pancakes, and the crepes....alas I can't eat so much stuff in one day.  There's always next year and I must get a friend to go with me so that we can share and eat lots of stuff.

II've started Nearwood SE.  It's just so pretty  I love the color pallette, lots of purples and pinks instead of blue.  I just picked up a lump of rainbow coal and it's so pretty I don't want to find the task where I have to give it up!

ETA:  Had to grind up my rainbow coal but now I have a beautiful phoenix feather.  This game reminds me of Awakening.  Some of the puzzles are of a decent difficulty, too.  I just did the classic, I got fed up, walked away awhile, came back and still couldn't get it.  Dang it, I'm tired of messing with it, guess I'm gonna hit the skip.  Well, let me just punch a couple more buttons, and bingo!  I got it.

WTG, Wendy!  Exactly the same thing happened to me today!    I was doing one of those puzzles where you have to turn all the tiles one colour and normally I just do them without thinking and without too much trouble but today I just couldn't change the last %#$*&% tile!  I also didn't know whether they should have all been white or black.  And, just like you, I was gonna hit the Skip but just clicked on 3 more tiles et voila!   Done.  What a relief!

And Nearwood CE is in my top 3 games of all time.  I absolutely loved it!  And the graphics are just as good all the way through the game.  It was such a joy to wander all through Nearwood, just looking at the scenery.    And I loved the gameplay, as well.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Wow, Barre, that sure was quick!    Ask and ye shall be given ... really quickly!    Thank you!

The mugs themselves look very similar to mine but the designs are totally different - you have big skyscrapers, whereas we have only a couple of small buildings over 3 stories.  I prefer the design on the blue and green ones to the red one as they're more intricate and very pretty.  But you have Vancouver on one and 2013 on the other!  I think I've only got Oldenburg on one of mine and all the others are just generic.  I'll see if I can take a photo of mine tomorrow and try and work out how to upload them here.    If I can't work it out I'll ask for your expert help.  But how I wish I were there to try the Canadian version of our Christmas market and to get my own Vancouver mug.

Re: Finish your games challenge

A nice lady just gave me a PCC.  It doesn't expire until January so when I thanked her I told her I was going to save it for the Scrooge game and she sent me another PCC so I could get another game now and not have to wait.  What a sweetie!  I want Surface Pantheon but I still have to play Soaring City so I think I'll wait on it.  What other one should I get now...well, Monday?  I might have to rejoin again because I will fill a card if I buy on BPM and I just hate to miss that free game.  And the GCC I would get would be used during a BOGO so I would kinda get 3 games for my $7, right?
Hey, I finally just got a replacement coupon for Motor Town Soul of the Machine that I couldn't finish.  About time, I sent in the first complaint/request on the 3rd.  I wasn't liking the game and I was making myself finish it and then I hit a glitch where a pop up closes and if you didn't take one thing first you could never get it again, so I couldn't even finish it and see the ending without replaying and there's no way I was going to replay that one again!  I can't believe it took them more than a week, I sent another email yesterday and complained about the slow response.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.
