I WILL finish FAIRWAY TEE TO PLAY without spending any money.  You just have to keep going back and replaying courses to get enough golf bucks to buy the bonus games.  I'm about 1/2 through the bonus games.  I'm also playing until get 3 stars on each course.

Lily, WTG finishing without spending any money!   Good luck with the rest of the bonus games!  You sure have a lot more patience than I.

In 2011, we had a 1/2 price CE sale on Dec 24-26, which was Sat, Sun, Mon.  (I can tell by looking at my purchase history - each CE was a separate order.)

In 2012, there was a CE BOGO (don't know about SE's) and it started on Friday the 21st.  I don't know how long it lasted, I was done shopping on the 22nd.

Christmas is on Wednesday this year.  It would be nice if the CE BOGO included Monday the 23rd.  Extra punches and I could get the Christmas Carol CE and play it before Easter.

I just checked my purchase history and I got SEs and/or CEs in a BOGOF sale on the following dates in December/January:

21 December - CEs
22 December - CEs
23 December - CEs and SEs
24 December - SEs
25 December - SEs and CEs
26 December - SEs

1 January - SEs (German site)

So it looks like there was a BOGOF for both SEs and CEs from 21-26 December on the Seattle site but not on 1 January as I got 2 SEs on the German site then.

"I could get the Christmas Carol CE and play it before Easter."  Ummmm ... which year?

I spent a lot of time rearranging my farm on Farm Up yesterday and today and it's so pretty now.  There's some red gnomes that look like Santa Claus so I bought a bunch and they're scattered all over.  I made a grove of lemon trees with a fountain surrounded by Italian ground tile that matches the water in the fountain with a gazebo, bench, and table nearby; I just imagine I'm in Greece or Italy  I'll just sit and stare at it and totally space out

Wendy, your farm sounds really pretty!  The grove with the fountain sounds really beautiful and so peaceful.  And how apropros, having all those Santa gnomes!

Re: Finish your games challenge

Sunshine, my favorite untimed match 3 is Cursed House, the original. (I did not care for the 2nd one). Each room has a different type of match 3 and they give you tutorials so you understand and its really fun. You can choose timed but I have no idea how in the world anyone could finish that game with timed. Also, Lost in Night is a goodie and can be untimed. There are many, many boards and one of my all time favorite games.

The newest Dana Knightstone game I found to be super easy and predictable. It also looked really short because of how easy it was when I was playing it. Mac users get the full hour to demo, not a sample (no idea why) and I was able to get into chapter 2 or even farther and its only like 5 chapters right? I was very disappointed too! But I love those games so I will probably spring for the SE when it arrives...

I really can't stand missing ONE collectable. Missing 5 of them, ok Im blind or missed a spot but ONE is like REALLY? Just want to bang my head on the desk...

Re: Finish your games challenge

I just finished Sea of Lies-Mutiny of the Heart CE by Eipix and I am shocked by how much I loved this game. Im kind of burnt out on pirate games and I only demoed this one for like 2 minutes before I got it in a half off Eipix sale. I probably would have waited for the SE but I decided for $6.99 two days after it came out, was a pretty good sale.  And I believe I got a bonus punch because it was BPM...

but anyways I thought Id be bored so I wanted to get it out of the way...but instead....I LOVED IT. The puzzles were way too easy and there is no ending in the main or the bonus chapter...well there is but the main is abrupt and the bonus chapter ending makes no sense! At least I was confused by it...But other than those 2 things, it was so incredibly fun. Its story line although familiar kept me on my toes and for it being the dreary pirate concept, all the colors were incredibly crisp and bright. I would recommend this game for the fun of it. Its not hard by any means and its really kind of short...but I had a great time playing it. I could not stop once I started!

Im also playing The tiny tale, the builder. I was doing real good but for the past couple levels, I just can't figure out how to get gold well you get flowers and they buy outfits for your gremlins but so far I can't see a difference. I know its going to be short but I like it. Laruaville is starting to bore me a little and Im not really sure why...

Anyways, up next will be another CE because once again I am almost out of room on my hard drive since I bought sooo many CEs and haven't played them yet...

Later today, I am going to finish my xmas shopping...It feels like xmas because we had  14 inches of snow on friday night BUT since my fiance isn't here this year, I just find it to be kind of depressing...

Re: Finish your games challenge

I have finished Pioneer Lands (part of my computer cleaning). It was just OK and I didn´t bother to try to get gold on the levels, just have it done with.

Wendy, your farm sounds great!
I´m on level 47 and it looks like a dump or something...
I have over 100 planting spots and all the buildings. I´m planning to make it nice when I´ve reached level 55 and can´t go further.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Farm up sounds a little like Townsip.  I'm like Anki, my town is under construction and looks a little hodgepodge.  You can share on FB with who you want and they can view your farm and send little air balloons.  It's cute.  I've only shared with my sister and her town is incredibly organized. (Lol she's a lawyer).  The little air allows have the FB picture on them and when you tap them you get $, which is handy.  There was an upgrade Monday and the whole town is Christmas - ized!  My sheep are wearing antlers the cows have Santa hats, the trees are all decorated and wreaths on all my houses. They've put their little bbqs away and there is snow.  Can you share on FB and visit each other's farm?

Dana Knightstone, Stusue , I just bought it sight unseen because I like the others so much I figured it would be the same quality.  Although I did like the first two best.  Meg - when you play make sure you get each collectible as I don't think you can revisit any areas. They are cards.

I haven't played any of the games being talked about either. They are all in my to play pile.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I have the first two Danas.  I thought the second was too easy so I wasn't real eager for this new one and it sounds like it's awfully easy as well.  Sometimes you're in the mood for a short, easy game, though.

I've started Nearwood SE.  It's just so pretty  I love the color pallette, lots of purples and pinks instead of blue.  I just picked up a lump of rainbow coal and it's so pretty I don't want to find the task where I have to give it up!

ETA:  Had to grind up my rainbow coal but now I have a beautiful phoenix feather.  This game reminds me of Awakening.  Some of the puzzles are of a decent difficulty, too.  I just did the classic, I got fed up, walked away awhile, came back and still couldn't get it.  Dang it, I'm tired of messing with it, guess I'm gonna hit the skip.  Well, let me just punch a couple more buttons, and bingo!  I got it.

Barre, WTG you!    Another one hits the dust (sung, of course, but lucky you can't hear me from there!).    Just finishing the game is a fantastic achievement, especially amongst our group!!!!    And you're especially a WINNER in my eyes because you manage to play soooooooooo many more games and have soooooooooo fewer unplayed games than I.    What's one lousy coin, anyway, that was probably hidden too well so as just to frustrate all the players?    And I have both games, Living Legends: Frozen Beauty CE and Legends of the East: The Cobra's Eye but haven't played either.  So I'm the failure.

Sue, thanks for your comments.  The reason I have fewer unplayed games is because you buy SO MUCH more games than I do since you buy from all over the place   I only buy my games from BF and that's enough for me.  You cannot be considered a failure if you haven't played your games yet because you have so many, it is understandable.

Talking about German Christmas Markets (I read your post in the other thread), I just visited our Vancouver German Christmas Market last week and I loved it.  It is organised by a German guy who lives here and he loved the markets so he decided to bring some of the organisers over to set one up in Vancouver.  We've had it every year since 2010.  I went the first year and got the Blue Gluhwein collector mug.  Then I missed going the subsequent years.  Decided to go this year and was happy to get a Red mug to add to my collection.  I went alone and wandered around the stalls looking at all the lovely and unique German stuff, bought a christmas ornament, ate a Bratwurst hotdog with sauerkraut and onions...yummy!! ..drank my apple cider and kept my mug.  I intend to go every year from now on.
