Re: Finish your games challenge

I really liked the Treasures game, I think it might be a FROG.  I think Ghost Ship is the third one, I bought the first two really cheap from Amazon but haven't played them yet.  Tideville never sounded very appealing to me.  1000 Doors are good, I hope you eventually get them.  I thought I had Elementary but I don't, maybe I have Paper Knight instead.

I finished the main game of Sea Legends Phantasmal Light and went to look in the forums.  Everyone was complaining that their strategy guide always went back to the first page, mine stays where I left it, maybe because it's the Premium Edition from Gamehouse?  It's one of those that won't let you look at or use the extras until the bonus game is done.  I think that's just the stupidest thing.

I got Nearwood SE with my PCC.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Finished the bonus game.  Very short, but done from the husband's perspective so kinda neat.  There seemed to be a choice during the last puzzle, you could make 2 different formations.  I couldn't quite remember how the bad guy phrased the question, I made a "Y" and got a good ending, I was trying to get an evil ending.  It has lots of screensavers and they're pretty good, several of the sea and the lighthouse with some wave movement, the wallpapers weren't nearly as good.  You couldn't get to any of the bonus content until after the bonus chapter was finished, and you can't just play the bonus chapter again, so I'll probably never know the other ending, unless Stusue does it for me.

Wendy, I'll do my best to get the alternate ending, but it won't be for a while yet as I'm currently in the middle of 3 - or is it 4? - HOPAs, not to mention a few M3s/TMs that I also play when I haven't got much time, and I really don't want to start another.  So, please remember your ending so that when I do finish you can let me know what your ending was.

I started today's GameHouse game - really old school and sort of funny gameplay - but it has a bonus, even though it's only an SE.  However, it gives you no idea at all what it is and just says that you have to finish the game to find out.  I wonder if you can replay all the puzzles or something...    I want to finish playing the game just to find out!

I've also posted this week's GameHouse discount deals, if you want to check them out.  No CE for $1.39/1.99 this week but still some pretty good games at great prices!

Re: Finish your games challenge

My husband is nearly done with Spooky Bonus. He really liked it.  What other untimed and fun M3 are out there?  Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I finished Punished Talents: Seven Muses Collector's Edition.  I was a little disappointed because we really didn't get to do anything with that evidence board.  I was hoping it wuld be like Enigmatis,

I really enjoyed the story; a detectve who dun it makes a nice change fro all the fairy tales and save the world by popping through portals which seem to be so popular with devs lately.  The voice-overs were well done, the HO scenes are interactive. There are collectibles and achievements and only one achievement (find 5 or more objects in 5 seconds) was time specific, so you can play at a liesurely pace and enjoy the scenery and take time to appreciate the artwork.

The puzzles were a mixed bag.  For some the instructions weren't all that clear, and I had to use the SG to solve two of them and still didn't understand where the answer came from.  Which means should I encounter them again somewhere, I still haven't got a clue as to how to solve them.

Regarding the collectibles:  be sure to search each scene first thing because the story is structured in such a way that some locations will be closed off and you won't be able to go back and search them again.  And one of the collectibles is not only tied to an achievement, but you need all of them to unlock some of the wallpapers.

I'm going to dust off a moldy oldie and replay Shades of Death: Royal Blood and then it's on to the two Enigmatis games.

I still have 3 more pcc's to use this month - 1 next Monday and 2 the following Monday.  Any suggestions?

Re: Finish your games challenge

Tirama, congrats on finishing Seven Muses.  Would you say the SE is sufficient and the main game ends properly....I don't think I want too many CEs.

I tried today's TGT Island Tribe 5 and I love it.  The first section is done underwater and that is something new for this series....you see fishies swimming around and now there are undersea creatures to get rid of.  There is an untimed mode and that's how I play, at a leisurely pace, because the hidden artifacts are really difficult to find.  I will get this with a pcc on Monday.  In fact I am playing Island Tribe 4 right now so I have to finish it.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I have finished Forest Legends: The Call of Love SE. To my own surprise I liked it very much!
I bought it during the Alawar sale last week . I didn´t like it enough when it came out so I had my full 60 minutes demo of the SE.
A very good game

Thanks lilyr for the tip!

Re: Finish your games challenge

barregar -  I think the game has a proper ending.  You play as Samantha Pollack and your objective is to discover who the killer is and to save your husband and mission is accomplished at the end of the game.

In the bonus chapter, you play as a different character and the story takes place in Chicago (main game takes place in Boston), so there are all new areas to explore.  The collectibles and achievements carry over to the bonus chapter and the developer didn't scimp - the puzzles aren't repeats and the HO scenes are interactive.  The ending of the bonus chapter leaves you in no doubt that there will be a sequel.

Re: Finish your games challenge

sunshinej, I liked Cradle of Egypt very much and also Woodville Chronicles.

Tirama, this month I bought Forest Legends, Stray Souls: Stolen Memories and 12 Labours of Hercules (but you maybe have them already) and am a little interested of Greed: The Mad Scientist and The Fog, the last one a bit old school but interesting and very good background sounds.

Re: Finish your games challenge

Tirama, thank you for the comments.  I think I'll pick up the SE.

Anki, I was wondering about Forest Legends: Call of Love....didn't get it before, thanks for the comments.  I might pick it up if I have an extra pcc.  I know I liked it when I did the demo.

Yesterday I picked up Revived Legends: Road of the Kings with a pcc.
