Re: Finish your games challenge

ok I checked out pond friends and as glad I was to see a forum dedicated just to mac, I also was really put off by everyone's negative attitude towards BFG. Now don't get me wrong, I really don't agree with some of the things they have done but they are a corporation and they go where the money goes. It just seemed like a soapbox of people upset with the closure. They even had forums where people were telling developers not to sell their games through there and then saying they weren't buying games either...the whole site was built around people who love gaming. Just because I don't agree with the forum being removed completely, I am not going to boycott something I love to do.

Basically, I am fine and dandy sticking with this forum and talking games we love and don't love and personal stuff every once n awhile. I really feel like this is a good forum with a lot of really good people. The CCC had a lot of clicky people and I always felt not so welcome and the things I said would be ignored until I found this forum and it fit me to a tee and everyone is so nice.

What I miss about the CCC is only that it seems there is no one to get in touch with. Live chat is down, customer service takes a few days so nothing is instant. When I had a problem with a game or something weird, CCC forums like the technical and annoucements usually resolved much of that. But I see why they got rid of it all. Every sale someone would complain it was terrible and everything was really negative. That can't be good for business.

But anyways, thank you wendy for the link but Im happy to stay here with all  of you... and I don't know if I knew moose...I want to say yes briefy but Im not sure. Who is AG?

Re: Finish your games challenge

ok back to games  I have been a busy girl both with games and cleaning up stuff amazingly

I finished death upon an Austrian Sonata-A Dana Knightstone Novel SE and god I love this series!!! Why didn't I play this sooner? Who knows. Forgot how much I love boom zap games. I have a bunch more to play too!

I am now playing Break the Curse-The Crimson Gems I think I know the developer...its GI...not sure if I have more games by them? It sounds familiar though. Anyways its good and has more puzzles than hogs at least so far. Its fun, I like it.

I am also playing Time to Hurry-Nicoles Story Its an oldddd school TM. Plays like gardenscapes only you are making her into a full person. It gets harder as time goes on. Stuff is hard to find lol

Still playing royal envoy, spooky bonus, 7 seas....who knows if I'll ever finish them lol

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend

Re: Finish your games challenge

Meg - I feel the same about the Dana Knightstone games.  I didn't try them until the summer of last year and I got and played the first two.  They were very good.
(btw - ditto on the Pond Friends - for me the last time I looked I was surprised people were still banging on about it. I did join the one of fb but think I will drop that because I keep getting spam emails that appear to be linked with that group)

I finished the main game of Enigma Agency. I don't know if it is just because I haven't been sleeping well and I'm tired, but I seemed to have to resort to the SG quite a bit just for some direction.  The puzzles were nice and pretty varied as well.  But I was a little lost a time and the map was unfortunately not a beam me up type.  I'll finish up the bonus tomorrow.  The boyfriend needs to be saved again!

After that I think I'll play Fairly Twisted Tales The Price of a Rose I've had it for about a year.  Also still picking away at Spooky Bonus and Zombie Solitarie.

My mother whipped thru all 100 levels of Spooky bonus and has moved on to World Mosaics. When she is done that I think I'll gift her Arizona Rose. She does like those nanogram games.

Re: Finish your games challenge

what a boring sale! But its good, it fits into me not buying anymore games (this month). IF you want a CE this weekend, I got a thing on the GM saying it was a "secret" sale for $9.99 (US site)...usually the code is classified but I don't know for sure because I closed it before I saw...

I finished Break the Curse-Crimson Gems and its a PURE puzzle game!!! They have a few scenes where you find 6 valves or 11 wrenches but its a small screen that pops up and its more puzzle like. Some of the puzzles were new to me and others were the usual like the pipes with a twist, match 3 but in triangles, my most hated one...a block with a tile missing and you have to move the rest of the tiles around to make the picture and many many more. IF you are a puzzle fan, I definitely recommend checking this game out. There is an expert mode with no sparkles and a casual AND the puzzles range between super easy to pretty darn hard. They had to throw in some math ones lol Im soo bad at math

So far this month I have played and completed 6 games and its only November 9th. Im trying to get through the ones that are hidden object/adventure and that I got in 2011/2012. I have a bunch since I always play my new games first so I am trying to get through the old ones. I got some goodies in here too!

xx

oh btw...can I just say OOOO about there being a Blue Tea Games out!! I haven't demoed it yet but its been awhile since they released a game and Im soooo excited!

Re: Finish your games challenge

I didn't get a chance to play Chinese Healer last night. Maybe today. We'll see if I get a good amount of work in first. I also want to try out today's game. We shall see.

I have a new client who wants 20 articles by the end of the day on Wednesday. Luckily its small 300-400 word ones about movies. He already approved the titles I made up...stuff like 6 Movies With "Real" Ghosts in Them and Top 10 Most Overrated Movies, etc. Which are the kind of articles he is looking for. Should be easy enough and at least interesting lol

I've started adding the codes to the posts I make in the weekend sales thread, which will be helpful when sales don't officially spill over to Bonus Punch Monday.  Not surprised by this sale, it seems to be what's on offer for most US holidays.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I finished Haunted Halls: Green Hills Sanitarium.   I had my first look at Dr. Blackmore and with him wrestling around with the boyfriend Tim. I just stopped and watched for like 2 minutes I was so fasinated until I came to and said wait I have to do something here.  I am tempted with the Blue Tea game, but I think I am going on to the next Haunted Halls game.  Blue Tea games are a automatic buy for me anyways.  I will just need to wait for a CE BOGO sale.

misscatlady...That'll be interesting.  I know for me I always though Batman was very overrated.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I just finished Call of The Ages. ...I am a happy camper!!!  I tried to preserve all my power-ups so that I can use them during the challenge levels.  So far, for the challenge levels, I have finished up to level 17.  Boy, they sure are tough!!!! I will continue and try to finish it all...if I'm lucky enough.  I love this game because the challenge makes it exciting.

Re: Finish your games challenge

I'm playing Shadow: Price of our Sins.  It's set on Halloween, I'm only 10 days late.  It's alright, but I'm hinting/jump mapping my way along instead of concentrating and trying to remember what's where.

Call of the Ages sounds interesting, I prefer my M3s on the harder side.  I like to play timed but it's always nice when you can switch to relaxed if you want.

I haven't played a Haunted Halls in forever, when the last one came out and I looked at octopus guy I decided I didn't want to suspend reality quite that much.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.
