Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Ok, but what I told you solves your issue if you have your games already stored on a different portable drive or if you want to store later on.  For eg I have my games set to dl to drive "I" my portable TB drive.  so you don't have to store them on C.  Then I can plug it in to my desktop or my laptop.  A 24" monitor is sweet.

IMO Maze as a SE was good.  The bonus added nothing.

You can also connect your external drive and play trial games on an additional computer as long as the Big Fish Games App is already installed on that computer. However, external drives cannot be used to play purchased (full version) games on an additional computer. To install purchased games and play the full version, an Internet connection is required. Once connected, sign in to your account and download the full version game directly from your Purchase History.
As I understand it, a portable drive will only play the games if it's hooked up to the computer they were downloaded through.  I haven't changed the download location on the GM yet, though, so maybe that will jar things lose.  If it works for you I should be able to get it to work for me.  I came down with a cold tonight that I've been trying to fight off all week so I probable won't feel like messing with it for a few days.  I figure I will probably come down with a lot of colds this winter seeing as I haven't ever lived in this area before and the 2 year old goes to daycare so he will bring them home and pass them around, that's how I got this one.
Anyway, I finished Subject 360 tonight.  I was still enjoying it but ready for it to end so I'm happy with the SE.

yup, they need to appear in the GM, , so yes they need to be dl at some point, but if its just a storage concern for operating it'll work. My old one was molasses until I started dl to the external. It will of course be better for you when you have more dl gigs.

Still playing Dark Angels and really enjoying it.  I'm not getting anything in this sale, I wondered what if anything they might have for American Thanksgiving.  I need one more punch to fill my card so I'll probably just get something with a pcc on bpm.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

I'm still working on Halloween Patchworks: Trick or Treat!   I've finished 87 levels.  Did I mention that this game is hard?   And the blood-curdling scream when you make a mistake gets old pretty fast.

I needed something a bit more soothing to play.  Fantasy Mosaics 11: Fleeing from Dinosaurs fit the bill.  Not very difficult, so I tried to play without marking off the squares that were blank as much as possible.  Some day I'd like to replay the entire series as a marathon and see how many levels I can complete without using the right-click button.  The names of the items in the gardens are always 'interesting'.

Finished 3 of 6 chapters of  Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher Collector's Edition.  Not particularly loving this game.  A lot of the CE extras feel like nothing more than busy work.

Wendy if you do, a couple of tips.  Remember you have your chakram and your potions at times.  I kept forgetting.  Plus the diary was well done and had extra info.  The only thing I didn't like that was inconsequential was Kate tended to sound like a whiny brat bordering on hysteria at times. Fortunately you don't hear her voice very often.  All in all a very enjoyable game.

Tirama, I haven't played that Patchwork.  I am replaying Gizmos Halloween.  I had forgotten how close to the wire some of those were.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

The patchwork game got easier when I hit the 5th group of 20 levels.   I'm playing on relaxed because the amount of time they give you to solve each level is ludicrous.  Plus you have the opportunity to use your points to buy more time, which makes the timer somewhat pointless.  But even on relaxed, the levels are hard.  Sometimes, you have only 6 pieces already in place.

I've almost finished chapter 5 of the Dark Tales game.  Chapter 4 seemed so long and there wasn't much dialogue or even interaction with Dupin.  Just a lot of back and forth.  So much that I was beginning to forget just what my character was trying to find out and/or solve.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2015

Oscar, I love to read the diaries in games and I like it when there's extra info in there.  I started Mystery Trackers 4 Aces instead, though, because I was feeling shitty with my cold and I don't really like Mystery Trackers cause it's usually a lot of back and forth so I figured I'd play a game I didn't like and not ruin a good one with my yucky head, if that makes sense.  But I'm liking 4 Aces better than the previous ones.  And like Tirama says, some games you forget why you're even running around doing the stupid stuff you're doing, MTs is usally like that for me, but this one is better.
I bought an adapter for the desktop so I can get wifi off my phone, it was a real pain to tether it and I could only get it working right half the time.  I bought speakers, too, but I can't get them to work.  Don't understand why not, one wire plugs into the wall socket and the other wire is light green so I plugged it into the light green spot, but no sound.  Have to go look it up.

It's not very good, IMO.  The voice-overs left a lot to be desired, and Dupin now has an American accent.  You wander around streets that look just like the ones in the Puppet Show series, I half expected one of those spider puppets to show up any minute.

Poe only wrote three detective stories.  Most of his better known stories were Gothic Horror.  Converting these stories into mysteries for Dupin to solve just doesn't work very well.

Finished M;ystery Trackers Four Aces.  Never really found out much about the 4 Aces, not who all of them were or why they were doing what they were.  But the game was alright, the HOs were easy and had a lot of multiples in them, which I like.  The puzzles were pretty easy, too, except the very last one; I could get the pieces in the right order but not the right spot.  I finished it on my laptop, it's just so much better on the desktop monitor.
