You hit edit instead of quote. It happens to me a lot.

Love it! It's interesting how you work in Lucky's comments. I had to laugh when you made the comment about greg not being able to dish out his own stew -- about it not being a deep, dark secret where you keep the bowls and spoons. My parents were married for 45 years. My father's clothes were in the same drawers for all that time. He'd still stand there in front of the chest of drawers and yell "Ruth, where are my socks?" men!

Yeah, it's not as if he has to search Rosetum Gardens for a spoon and then dash off to Dawnshadow Lake for a bowl every time he wants dinner.
I can just imagine him saying "Berengaria, have you seen my gauntlets?" and her coming back with a smart alecky "No, I'm waitig until it's available on Netflix." Seriously, they're not living in a McMansion. There's only a limited number of places anything could be.

Lily, I was just going to say that about Lucky. I like how B. talks to him.
Gregory and Berengaria, a real power couple. Sort of like Bill and Hilary back in the Arkansas days

Day 46
Today I'm going to Glitterstone Mines and Coral Cove with Gavin.
I'm glad Greg (don't call me Gregory) didn't ask for details when I said I planned to search for more telescope parts. I'm not sure he'd be happy about me visiting Coral Cove with Gavin, even if he is a gnome. I'm not exactly looking forward to appearing in a wet teeshirt and shorts in front of Gavin, either, for that matter. Maybe one of Greg's tunics might work better?
We didn't find any telescope parts at either place. Gavin's next idea is to consult Triffledore. Maybe somebody brought debris from the flying machine to him, thinking that Triffledore could use it. Yura knows, the things he sells are odd.
Better go prepared with artifact boxes. Triffledore might want me to do some sorting work. I stop at the exchange and trade a set of fairy dresses for 15 artifact boxes. Then I remember that Quinn mentioned something about a mending gem needed to heal the pegacorn that might be found at Triffledore's. So I stop at the Squabbit Hut to get Quinn.
Sure enough, Triffledore puts me to work. But he does find a piece of the telescope and the mending gem. More than a fair trade, I feel.
Leodici is pleased to have all the parts of his telescope returned to him. He'd like to visit Trogid and look at some of his blueprints for ideas on how to make his flying machine sturdier. I tell Leodici I'll meet him there, I have a couple of things t attend to first.
I decide to approve Raphael's request to expand the Gildenhall. I also go back to the exchange and hand in a set of fairy crests for 15 blueprints.
Leodici enjoys seeing Troglid's blueprints and models, but feels he needs to view full scale models. He wants to visit Skyfleet Docks and the Black Bull. I'm not sure what docks and pirate ships have to do with flying machines, but then, science wasn't one of my better subjects in school. And I'm willing to do just about anything to get Leodici back to Gizmotek and the broken flying machine off Town Hall's doorstep.
Our visit to the Docks and the Black Bull was successful. Leodici feels inspired and thinks he knows what is needed to repair his flying machine. He wants me to find 2 Reigning Stars, 2 Traveler's Compasses, and 2 Goblin Bevels. And no, he doesn't any of the ones I have on hand, he wants recently found ones. Didn't I go through this sort of idiocy with Mira during the preparation for the Yura Festival? I can see that tomorrow is going to be a long, tedious, frustrating day.
Greg is waiting for me outside Town Hall. He's been fishing and proudly displays his catch. Dinner, he announces. They've still got their heads on, I reply. He patiently explains that I need to clean and gut them. I think not.
I tell him I've never done that before. He smirks and says there are other things I had never done before coming to the Skyward Kingdom and he's always happy to teach me. I am steamed. Is he seriously equating the two activities, I wonder, because if he is, he can take the fish down to the barracks and spend the night with them.
I announce that I am having stew for dinner. I don't like fish. If he wants fish and he's willing to clean it, I will cook it, provided he tell me how. Otherwise, just throw them back in the river. His choice.
Greg looks crestfallen. I soften. Why don't you give them to Blessilda as a gift, I suggest. She's be very grateful and will probably offer to make you some fish sandwiches for your lunch tomorrow. He cheers up and heads towards the General Store.
No wonder fairy tales end with the wedding, I tell Lucky. Happily ever after can be a long, somtimes bumpy, journey.

Oh, that last line is priceless, Tirama

In some ways it's nice to see that Greg is as clueless as most men. Honey glazed rioast? Wow! I haven't seen one of those in a loooong time!

Sometimes it's not a male/female thing so much as it's a "I've always done it that way" thing. Paradigm paralysis. As a newcomer, Berengaria can see things fresh and doesn't have preconceived ideas of how things should be done.
And history has taught us that wars change things, and people can never go back to the way things were before. The people in the Skyward Kingdom are starting to learn that.
