I played Mind Snares: Alice's Journey today. I won't tell you what I thought about it as I don't want to spoil it for you, but I just wanted to warn you about a few things.
1. Ignore the achievements as only 5 of the 18 (?) registered and 1 of the 18 isn't even part of the game! (I think it might have started out as a CE )
2. Some of the objects in the HOSs are very small and some are misnamed. For example, an "axe" is actually an "axe head" and you have tongs in your inventory that are named "glove".
3. Some of the objects in the HOSs require a lot of clicking as they obviously have a "sweet spot" that you have to hit exactly to pick up the object. Fortunately there aren't a lot of those.
4. The last of 4 portals is really short and, when you put the sword in the standing stone and finish building the bridge, click on the floating island and don't go anywhere else as apparently if you do you won't be able to get back and finish the game.
5. When you click on the floating island, don't blink or look away or you'll miss the ending. I got a brief glance at the sentence before the credits came up so I think I know what it's all about but I can't be certain. I thought there'd be another bit on the floating island to finish the game, like an epilogue, but nope. It just ends and you have to remember what is said right at the beginning of the game to work out what the ending means.
Have fun playing!
ETA: I had to add something I'd forgotten.

I made it through all the bonus stuff in Nevertales except for the HOs. I was going to do them but then I just couldn't. I enjoyed them the first time through but I don't want to have to do it over and over and over for speed and accuracy or stare at the screen waiting for a morph anymore. If I'm ever in the mood I know where they are.

good game wasn't it Wendy.
So much to catch up on here. I hope you feel better Stusue and that you mom is staying positive. You did finish a lot last month! I'll keep those tidbits in mind when I play the game.
I shouldn't even be on here right now, I have so much work to do. I'm getting a new washing machine tomorrow and then going to visit my parents Friday for the weekend. It's grandpas 95th bday on Sunday! I should be finishing up Mystery Trackers tonight.

I'm tempted by today's sale to get the new Final Cut and Danse Macabre

Oscar, I'm also tempted to get the new Final Cut but I haven't played the first 2 yet so I think it can wait. I'll sleep on it and decide in the morning. But I definitely recommend Danse Macabre, but only the SE as I personally was really disappointed with the bonus chapter and the extras and didn't think the CE was worth it. But the main game was really good! Whichever you get you should have a great time!
I actually wrote to CS about Mind Snares: Alice's Journey, telling them the problems I'd had, and I asked if they were working on a fix. Well, about 2 hours later I got a reply from them, saying that if I didn't want to troubleshoot the game then I could use the free coupon code they gave me to get another game, either an SE or CE, before 20 April. But it was just a generic email with a generic response, quoting a generic problem, not my specific question. It seems like their response to any problem now is simply to give you a coupon code rather than actually sort out any problem. Not that I'm complaining about a free CE coupon code, mind you, especially as I can keep Alice's Journey!

Oscar, thanks for thinking of my mum. Unfortunately, her results weren't good and she had a CT scan yesterday and got some more tattoos before she starts radiation again next week.
I wish I were getting a new washing machine tomorrow! One that wasn't full of fluff so I could wash my blacks whenever I wanted.
I hope you have a safe trip and a wonderful weekend with your grandpa! But first have a fun time finishing Mystery Trackers.

OMG, washing machines! We're not allowed them in our mobile home park but the laundry is really close and I'm not used to having a washer/dryer anyway, so that was pretty cool, just walk across the street whenever and pop in a load or two. About a month ago they put up an "Out of Propane" sign on the dryers and they haven't gotten propane since. Some suspicious story about how someone else owns the little laundry and wants them to pay for the propane, it doesn't make sense to me. So now we only have a cold water wash and no dryers so I have to go out to do laundry. It sucks. Now the weather is warmer I occasionally throw a load in and then drape the stuff over the railing on my steps to dry
I went back and did a few HOs in Nevertales but the first one I did over and over and over and I was doing it as fast as I could and could never get 3 stars so I quit.

The washer is leaving little rust marks all over the clothes! I love hanging my clothes out on the line in the warm weather. I find it very relaxing, I know weird.
I did get those two games after all.
I'm sorry Stusue about your mum.

Rust marks all over your clothes! No wonder you're getting a new one. I also love hanging my washing outside to dry! But, according to my sister, I'm crazy (and have OCD) as I take the time to make sure that my pegs are coordinated - so different colours on different lines, or different colours for types of washing, etc. It's fun doing it that way and it's also more aesthetically pleasing for me. I can't handle something having 2 different colour pegs (or 2 different types of wooden ones), so my sister now does what I do when she helps hang up my washing. I only ever use the dryer to finish off drying my washing, never right out of the washing machine. Fortunately for me, I have a drying room down in the cellar where everything gets hung up in winter. When it's sunny, I hang up all my washing on the verandah under a clear awning, where it heats up when it's sunny and so bakes the washing. Even now when it's sunny but not very warm, I can hang washing out there and everything's nearly dry by the end of the day and can go straight in the dryer for just a few minutes to finish them off!
I still can't decide whether or not to get the third Final Cut but I still have 1 hour and 12 minutes to decide. If it were an Extra Punch Monday it would be a bit easier to decide.
And thanks, Oscar.

It sure would suck, having to go out to do your washing all the time. Stupid laundry owners.
And how annoying with the HOSs in Nevertales! I can't remember what game also had replayable HOSs to get 3 stars that I played ... but also didn't bother trying to get 3 stars on all of them. I have too many other games to play instead.
