Tirama, just like Wendy you posted right before me! But I see that we are totally of the same mind. I agree that I'd much rather get a punch whenever I use a PCC than have to wait for a BPM and only get a bonus punch, which seems weird as we get a punch either way, unless they're stopping BPMs.
As soon as I've finished using all my GCCs I'll be stopping my membership and only rejoining whenever ... IF ... they have another BOGOF, which is what I've been thinking for a while. I just have to use them all first.
Your GCCs are good for 6 months whenever you cancel. BF makes it very easy to stop and start membership. You just hit the button and you also have an area where you can tell them why you're quitting. They even sent me emails when my GCCs were getting close to expire. The only thing is when you rejoin make sure you rejoin before your 6th punch to get the PCC. There's really no advantage to being a full time member except for building up GCCs.
I understand why they did it, I've been wondering how they could even afford to be doing it, but changing it right before the end of the month? With no warning or heads up? That angers and disgusts me. It's like they tried to pull one over on their customers(and did). And we're not just one-time customers, we're repeat, long term customers. That's just not the way a company should do business. I was intending to drop my membership again in a few days anyway, and what serendipitous timing this is. Can't wait to fill out that "Reason for Leaving" section

I agree with everything else you said, Tirama, especially about how big a change it is and how we should have been told about it somehow. ESPECIALLY that they should have waited until the beginning of next month.
However, I don't feel like PCCs are worthless as you still get a free game with them, regardless of whether or not you get a punch when you redeem them. And just think, if you ignore the punches you can just use PCCs whenever you want for whatever game you want without having to work out how best to use them to fill punch cards. That would be a lot less stressful. All you'd have to do is work out how many games to get during a BOGOF (if they still have them) to fill x number of punch cards and then just use them whenever. Don't get me wrong, I'd still rather get punches with PCCs - and the extra punch, too, of course - but at least they're not getting rid of the punch card system altogether.

Wendy, I've only recently finished my half-price credits and am now just starting my 3/4-price credits, so I still have a few to go ... although they're certainly dwindling. But I've been meaning to ask you something about that and now's the perfect time.
If you stop your membership when you still have GCCs, can you restart your membership before the 6 months is up and then once again they don't expire? Or, once you've stopped your membership, if you restart, any GCCs from before you stopped that are due to expire will still have the same expiry date?
So, say you cancel 1 March and you have 10 GCCs. They'll then expire 1 September. If you don't use any of them in the interim and you rejoin, say, 1 August, will the 10 GCCs still expire 1 September or will they once again be like normal GCCs and not have an expiry date?
I hope that makes sense.

I feel they're worthless to me because I struggle each month to find games to use them on. There's only 5 slots each week for SE games (unless there's a soft release). 2 slots are taken up by the SE version of CE's, leaving 3 slots. And last week 2 of those slots were filled with free to play games.
So the fact that I earn pcc codes isn't an enticement to keep my membership. At least half the time I wind up using them on so-so games I could live without. Owning those games just adds stress because if I own them, I should play them.
I wish I had noted on the list of sales whether non-members were getting the same prices, because with pcc's being worthless to me, I might be better off waiting for those rare sales where non-members can get CE's for 6.99 and just pay cash.

Tirama, once I've cancelled my membership I certainly won't be buying many games at all, which is the main reason to cancel. I'll be much choosier, and just play games with my FunPass and maybe, just maybe, start reducing my unplayed games list.
A lot of the SEs I got were SEs of CEs so there not being many straight SEs I wanted to get didn't worry me so much.
However, as Wendy said, you only have to rejoin for one month to get the last punch for a PCC then you've got 2 months or whatever to use it.

Well, I just filled my card by using another pcc to get today's soft release Luxor 2 HD to DH. I'm still not a happy camper, though.

Well, I've just used a PCC to finish my last punch card for the month so now I can go to . It's so late here now that I know I won't hear from BFG before tomorrow - if they reply at all - and I didn't want to miss out on finishing my card. Remember the good old days when they had Live Chat? Fortunately, I only needed one more punch and had several games I wanted so got one of those.

Just checked my e-mail. My ISP put the e-mail from BF containing the pcc for a free game into my junk mail folder.

Just found this on the top of the Help home page:Due to recent changes in the Game Club Punch Card program, redeeming a Punch Card coupon code for a free game will no longer earn a punch on your punch card. You can still get a bonus punch for using your Punch Card coupon code during a Bonus Punch promotion.
I've been on that pge the past couple of days sending emails to CS, I could swear it wasn't there earlier when I cantacted them today about my missing punch. Anybody else notice it before now?
Tirama, I just checked out the Help page and I'm sure that message wasn't there when I sent my first email to CS. I'm sure I would have seen it! I'd say so many people have complained that they've just put that there within the past few hours.

LOL. Very apropros. Mine just went into it's usual BFG folder.
One weird thing I can't work out, though ... I don't know whether I simply can't add up but for the past 2 BOGOFs I seem to have received one PCC too many - so 2 extra. And I don't see how I could have been exactly 6 punches off to work out that I should get one too few - twice! And I keep very strict files of all purchases, when, all the extra bonus punches, etc. I've never been out before and the last 2 times I've been exactly 1 full PCC out? I'm certainly not complaining but it sure upset all my carefully worked out punch cards ... and now this!
