I liked 3 cards to Deadtime. I played it so long ago that I can't remember much else about it!

I remember liking 3 Cards as well. It was different at that time.
I haven't been playing much lately, sorting my house out a bit and going to bed early! Shockingly early for me. I was in bed at 11:30 the other day. And yesterday, because I was up at 6:30!! I had an afternoon kip for about an hour. So I did finish Calavera. I really appreciated the Burtonesque artwork and the movie references. It was a fun game. I was quite surprised when I read a couple of reviews that it was really long with a long bonus and one person even said they were five hours in and only half done. I think it took me about three hours and the bonus was only 40 mins. All in all I was fine with the length. I did think it was going to be longer as the first three sins took some time to get and then it seemed like the last four took all total an hour. I take my time looking about at things and in this game clicking on things as you got achievements find posters and phone numbers as well as the skulls, of which I missed on but didn't want to go back and look in each area. I read all dialogue or talked to all the characters and looked at the diary as it was nicely done. No hints, no skips, so I have no idea why such a huge time difference. That is one achievement I did not get, all HO scenes in less than a minute. I don't understand those. I would think the dev wants their work appreciated, which is what I do. Looking at all the items in the HO. The artwork in this game was so well done.
Anyhoo off my little soapbox. I can't decide whether to start a newer game or pick one off my old list in the other thread. But for now I am off to my sister's. It is turkey day! Happy Thanksgiving!

I've finished the bonus chaper of Final Cut: Homage Collector's Edition, but there's still more to do.
The 'Making of' feature in the extras is really a mini HOPA. You can also replay the the HO's and one of the achievements is to replay them and earn a gold reel (think you need to complete in certain length of time and not use hints).
There's also a souvenir room. You have to find a certain object in each location. There's an achievement for finding all of them.
Puzzles can be replayed. So this game has a lot of extras and on that score is certainly CE-worthy.

Today I picked up Queen's Quest Tower of Darkness with a PCC that was expiring.
I started playing Charlaine Harris Dying for Daylight last night. It is a fun game. I like the added aspects of the wardrobe disguises and her vampire powers.
Tirama - I always like their extras and I do go back and replay the HO scenes to get the achievements as well as doing the souvenir room and watching all their extras and credits. the do put a lot of work into the to make it entertaining.

I enjoyed DYING FOR DAYLIGHT too.
I probably should pick and old HOPA to play.

I beta'd Living Legends Wrath of the Beast. In a word, blech. The "story" was as muddy as the artwork. It is the conclusion to the series. You play the son of Goldilocks who was ripped apart by bears. It was all just odd. There was some hunter, who is dead and behind a wall that Goldilocks saved his family from the plague and now he needs his spear to pass on. WTF? I couldnt see what that had to do with anything. it took all of two seconds to take care of that. I won't be looking to buy it in a hurry that's for sure. What puzzles I saw were quite simple and only silhouette hos in the demo. The artwork was pretty low standard imo. very muddy, flat looking game.

Did anyone here played The Happy Hereafter. I am interested in it since it is a Halloween themed game and It's only 2.99. I haven't played any builder type games before and wouldn't know a bad one from a good one.

Sunshine, I have it and I think I've actually finished it (or, if not, most of it). I didn't get it for ages after it was released as I wasn't sure if I wanted it as I didn't think it was a brilliant game. I got it when I had an expiring PCC and no other game that was jumping up and down to be picked.
It's the sort of game you'd have to demo as it's different. It's really cute with cute characters but it's very dark (it's all at night) and it gets quite repetitive (as per usual for this sort of game) and you might not like having to do the same things over and over again. I also didn't find it very intuitive and, if I remember correctly, it's not all that easy to move around and find things. But, as I said, it's a cute game with cute characters and a very good game for Halloween.
For $2.99 I don't think you could really go wrong, as long as you like the demo. This isn't the TM I'd suggest you start with as it isn't all that easy - simple, yes, but not easy for a beginner. But for Halloween and $2.99 I'd definitely recommend you at least demo it.

Stusue...Thanks on the information on The Happy Hereafter. I demo'd it and it does look cute. When you said it wasn't very intuitive, you were so right. After my tutorial was done I had no clue what to do next. I supposed to upgrade the house I think, and have no idea how to do it. I have no wood or anything. I have 3 little people and one just picks mushrooms and the one picks berries and one just stands around.
Since it is only 2.99 I might get it just for the challenge of it and for the Halloween atmosphere.

I've had to dex Cruel Collections: The Any Wish Hotel. Keep getting access violations. Tried it on two different laptops. Will write to CS for a replacement coupon.
I'm hoping to start Entwined: The Perfect Murder today.
