Manor Memoirs at Playrix is on sale for $5.99 this weekend.  I'm going to pick it up.  Who knows when BFG will get it and this is the CE

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Aw, Stusue, I'm so sorry to hear the bad news.  My mom had lung cancer along with a few other things, they couldn't do treatment for her, either.  My mom was ready to go, though, she'd been generally unwell for quite awhile and was tired of feeling sick all the time.  Sounds like your mom still has a fighting spirit, that will help her.  I think it really helps to have the goals of what she still wants to do.

I'm calling All My Gods finished.  It's just boring me.  They give you a task but there's no way to fail it.  And all these buildings are just crammed in together, it's not pleasing to the eye at all, everything is just too ...busy.

No matter how much I complain, I'm grateful for all I have.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I have demoed All my Gods like a bunch of times and every time I remember why I didn't like it the first time. Same reason you don't Wendy lol

I got a Beta for "Whispered Secrets"-Into the Wind and I LOVED it. Talk about innovative although I can't remember specifics since it was yesterday and Im severely sleep deprived! LOL Anyways, a definite buy for me. I also noticed how other developers are copying Mad Head Games hidden object scenes which makes me angry. Mad Head Games are my favorite because they are soooo inventive and creative without copying other developers stuff.

However, I also Beta'd the new MCF-Dire Grove Sacred Grove and I HATE it like words can't even describe the amount of hate I have for it and I loved the first one. This one has nothing to do with the first one and its about druids, hunters and other things that do not make the story line of any interest to me. And why can't elephant/bfg think up a more original plot line and not keep doing the same twists on old classics. I did like Madame Fate though but this one is just not up to the same par unforunately. However I did beta Riddles of Fate-Memento Mori and I found the plot fascinating and original soooo they do have some good ideas still...I don't know...

I have a bunch of other Betas to try from pond friends but since I have only liked 2 of the 5 I have tried already...Im not that excited...Vast has a new game coming out called Forgotten Kingdoms-can't remember the rest LOL and its just the same princess game...sleeping beauty in chains basically. And there was another one but I can't remember it probably because it bored me to tears as well. I like how you can get beta links from pond friends...I'll find the link and paste it in here

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I'm currently playing Family Tales The Sisters. A pretty good game imo.  Its different and does not have your run of the mill puzzles.  I do find the text a little shaky looking but I got used to it.  A good story.  There is no map but the back tracking, what there is of it is quick.  it has some shape HO scenes which I generally don't care for but in this game I don't mind them.  I've found the majority of the puzzles so far interesting and the shape HO scenes are all interactive.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Tee, Tirama, Lily, Oscar and Wendy, thanks so much for all your prayers and hugs.     And Oscar, I love the big group hug!  Thanks.

It's my sister's b'day today and so she's over here with Mum and me, letting her daughter have a b'day party for herself in the house (her b'day was last week) ... without her mum being around.    We haven't done much and only had baked beans on toast for dinner as my sister's in agony and so not moving much, my mum's really tired, and I'm as sick as a dog and have to look after the 2 of them.  Not much of a b'day for my sister, unfortunately, but at least we're all together.  We did have lots of cake and b'day goodies, which was at least something.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Like usual this summer I´ve been working like crazy. On top of that I´ve got borrelia from a tick!
Luckily my hubby persuaded me to go to the hospital (I didn´t think it was necessary!). I got penicillin so I´m going to be fine, but have some side effects like feeling sick all the time. Not fun when I´m at work .
On the positive side I´m healthy in time for the vacation (I take my last pills on the day of departure)
