I started 2 games, Hidden Wonders of the Depths 3 (M3), in timed mode and Fiction Fixers: Alice in Wonderland. I'm enjoying both of them. Alice has a ton of sparkles and no option to turn them off or down. It has a hint button that doesn't help at all in the adventure part, it tells you to look at your journal or else look at the Stategy Guide. I finally checked out the SG and it's not just a link that takes you to a SG to buy, it's that actual, real one and it's included. Nice.

Tiffany's teeth are fine now, I'm going on Wednesday to get my permanent crowns, DH has now started dental work. Two teeth pulled, the dentist was having the day from hell and was backed up 1 hour, then the appointment before DH had two abscesses and backed things up even further. We were there 3 hours. Luckily I had my iPad with me. Played a lot of Mahjong Towers.
Today was first day without thunderstorms in more than a week. Took a 3 hour nap and feel much better.
Did I miss something? Are you going back to Australia?
I'm so glad Tiffany's teeth are okay now, and that you can see the end of the tunnel with your teeth. Good luck on Wednesday with the crowns. But what a day from hell at the dentist for you and DH! And the poor dentist being so behind and then having patients who weren't exactly happy. I sure hope things go a bit smoother for you on Wednesday and for DH the next time he goes!
We've also had lots of thunderstorms this past week or 10 days. Not every day but maybe around 5. I was down the road having arvo tea with an old couple who are neighbours a few days ago when it started pouring with rain and there were gale-force winds for maybe 20 mins or so. I had to wait to walk 3 houses back home, when I noticed nothing amiss. Then, maybe only 5 or 10 mins after getting home, I noticed a big fire engine pulling up down the street and one of the firemen getting out and walking back towards me. It looked a bit strange. Then one of the chief fire cars pulled up behind. Then a police car pulled up on the footpath outside nextdoor. I had to run upstairs to the attic to see what was going on as I couldn't see over my huge hedge from here and noticed that the tree opposite nextdoor had blown down over the railway line! Luckily it's only a freight line and we only get a few trains a day, mainly at night, so it didn't hold things up. And then on the news I saw that Oldenburg had flooded, which is really unusual, considering all the ditches, canals and overflow ponds and lakes that the city is covered with to contain flooding as we're on marshland. It sure must have rained heavily! The whole region had trees uprooted all over the place. Luckily this time no one was killed as just a couple of months ago about 6 people were killed by falling trees in Niedersachsen, and a few months before that about 13 people were killed in the region from another huge storm, 9 of them here in Niedersachsen. Oldenburg is incredibly green and there are trees everywhere!
I'm going back to Sydney to visit the family as I always do. I normally go every second year but missed last year as I was too sick to travel so my sister came to me instead to bring all my tablets. But it's my mum's 90th b'day 5 August so I have to be there for that! We're all going up to the Blue Mountains west of Sydney for the weekend before her b'day to celebrate - 31 family members, 4 generations, aged from 10 months to 90 years, 2 will be missing. I'll be back here the first week of December, hopefully missing most of the summer heat in Sydney, and hopefully before I have to shovel snow here, as if you don't keep your paths clear from 7am until 8pm 7 days a week you get fined and if anyone slips over and is injured you're liable.
I'm glad you had a nice nap! I so wish I could. No matter how little sleep and how tired I am I can't sleep during the day, even when I'm really sick. I hate having to sleep at night as there's so much I want to do, so I suppose there's no way my brain will let me sleep during the day!

I had an email waiting for me from BFG when I got up this morning. Now that was quick! This is the response about the missing MC promotion coupon...
This is Kaila in Seattle. Thanks for writing in to let us know about this. It looks like you were supposed to receive a coupon for 60% off of your next game purchase, but haven't received it yet. I totally understand if you were waiting for that coupon code. I definitely want to help with this and will look into it right away.
Not to worry, I can go ahead and send you a coupon if you still haven't received one. Before I do this, I just need to know if you'd like a coupon for a Collector's Edition or a standard version game.
To get back in touch with me, just respond directly to this email. I want to take care of this for you right away and look forward to hearing back from you soon. I'm definitely here to help.
My response was, of course, a no brainer. Who'd ask for a coupon for an SE when you can get one for a CE? I've certainly never before been asked which I'd prefer.
But how nice that she wants "to take care of this for [me] right away" and looks "forward to hearing back from [me] soon" and is "definitely here to help". I must say, I always get good service from CS.

Hi all!
I have been working like crazy and finally have a day off
I was also complaining about the lost coupons (both Awakening and Midnight Castle) and got a reply from Audrey, she offered me either two CE or two SE or one of each. Now I have two CE coupons expiring December 2014
I think I´m going to save them for the next MCF and something from Madhead.
I´m going on vacation on August 2. We´re going to Gran Canaria, to Puerto de Mogàn.I´m really looking forward to it!

I have finished Black Rainbow. It was very fun but the puzzles were rather difficult. I missed one of the skulls
I have also finished Hope Lake.It was fun at first but I got bored at the end, maybe because I was playing it over several days and lost the feeling for it.

stuse -- So Europe is getting the horrible storms too! Yikes! Glad that this time no one was injured. We've had a lot of severe thunderstorms, lots of rain, lots of flooding, in the US too. And where I live we even had a tornado! That almost never happens.

Anki, I've been wondering where you've been, thinking you might be working and busy. I was going to PM you today to see how you were and here you are!
WTG with the coupon codes! Now, whenever I download yet another FTP for a promotion, I always hope I don't get the coupon as the compensation coupons are a lot better than the promotion ones.
2 August is when we're going up the mountains for my mum's birthday. I sure wish I were going to Gran Canaria rather than Sydney (but of course I'm glad I'll be there for my mum's 90th!). Gran Canaria is a real holiday destination, whereas Sydney is just visiting family for me and SO stressful as my family doesn't understand my illness at all.
I hope you have a fantastic time!!!! How long will you be there? I'm so jealous.
I missed one of the skulls in Black Rainbow, too!!!! Maybe there was one less in the game. I was so careful looking for them. But I loved the game!

Yep, Lily, we've been getting almost daily thunderstorms after really hot days. Pity we haven't had much sun, though. At least it's finally cooled down a bit today, so I won't have to have the fan on as I go to sleep tonight. But a tornado???? ** thud **
But in Sydney, where I'll be in less than 2 weeks, it's winter and they've been having sunny, sunny, sunny weather and 22 C!!!! It's been getting really cold at night, though.
