note to self -- Don't even THINK about getting any of the games Sun and Oscar are talking about on this page.
Wendy -- Sooo glad the new laptop is working so well for you!

Has Meg been around lately?

Wendy - I think she may be on her driving trip. Sounds like you are enjoying the new laptop. I hope you find lots of hotspots. Where are you now?
I started Portal of Evil Stolen Runes. What a pleasant surprise this game. so far it has been very interesting. I'm not sure what this game was classified as but it seems more adventure. It is the CE and other that the bonus chapter it seems like SE material, but that's ok, I'm sure I got it on sale. It plays more for me like The Turning Thorn, which I completed, than a regular HOG.
I did look up Ghost Ship Studios to see when the third part of Nightmare Adventures was coming, as it was left dangling in The Turning Thorn, but their site is under construction and I didn't feel like writing an email.
lily - I have yet to attempt any of them. Several are quite old, all on disc. I do think Rhiannon will be at the top.

Oscar...I have a lot of games that you listed. I think I must have the same CD.
The ones I have already played:
Syberia 2
AGON
Rhiannon
The Lost Crown
The ones that we both have that I haven't already played:
Riddle of the Spinx
The Omega Stone
Paradise
Black Buccaneer
Physicus
I was thinking Paradise, but if Rhiannon is on top of your list. I wouldn't mind replaying that one again. It was a good one and it has been a few years for me.
lilyr...lol I got a kick out of your comment.
wendy...Glad that your games are playing smoothly on your new lap top. It must have been so frustrating before with your old one with all the freezing and waiting.
I was wondering about Meg too. I thought she posted her wedding date, but I can't seem to find the post.

Sun - it does sound like we do. 5 or 6 are on the one disc. Paradise would be fine by me. We should set up a thread and date and see if anyone else wants to play. And I did get a giggle from Lily as well. I know what she means though, games like this you do wander aimlessly at times. Or I do anyways!
I think Meg mentioned mid June for the wedding and doing that road trip beforehand. They are probably having a blast and other things since they're finally together together.

I went back and found Meg's post.
On 29 May Meg wrote:
I will be going out of town on a coastal trip down highway 1 starting sunday for a pre marriage honeymoon since we have the time now. The ceremony is set for June 28th. Just a little thing in the backyard with my parents, brother & his fiance.
So that means this Saturday!

Well it certainly seems like forever since Meg has checked in, I hope they're just enjo;ying each other so m;uch she's lost interest in us (for just a little while). My stupid mind imagines such stupid things sometimes. We don't open until late on Saturday, I'll be able to post my good wishes. I'm so excited for her. Getting married is very scary, though.
I played Portal of Evil last fall and really liked it, it's on my replay list if I ever decide to replay some games.
I've actually played Rhiannon, too, if it's the Curse of the 4 Branches one. And both Syberias. Is Paradise the one about Mina? Might be Mysterious Island she's in.

Oscar...I was hoping you'd say Paradise would be okay. Big Fish has this game so if others want to join in they can get it from there. Sadly, no trial version, just a video and some screenshots. Also, Big Fish has a walkthough for the game.
stusue...Thanks for finding that post. I'm glad we didn't miss it and still have time to send well wishes to her and her soon to be husband.
wendy...Mina is the one in Mysterious Island. Ann Smith is in Paradise. It is about a women whose plane is shot down in Africa and as a result has amnesia and no idea why she is there.

Things have been going good. Lexi is doing well. She had her post op checkup at the vet. He was pleased with how she is healing. Said, we can stop givign her the pain meds unless she needs them. And she can go back to her normal routine. She's not back to 100% yet but she will hopefully get there. Apparently the cancer is gone for now, though there is a chance it will eventually come back. So, we just have to keep an eye out for any signs that it is returning. Hopefully it will be a while.
As for games. Still playing Myths of the Worlds: Fiends and Fairies. It's a fun game so far. I think I'm about half way through the main game. Changing the cursor definitely helped a lot. Looking forward to the new Dark Parables game this week. Hopefully this weekend's sale will be a good one and I can get it then.

I just heard back from CS re not getting the coupon for AK. Taylor's great, giving me a great coupon this time and last time as well.
This is Taylor R. in Seattle. I'm sorry to hear that this new Awakening Kingdoms promotion didn't send you the coupon code correctly. Let me take a look into this, and see what happened with that.
After doing some research into this promotion, I see a note that our promotions team was able to recently identify an error in the process of sending out those codes, that resulted in many players not getting theirs correctly. Hopefully now that this error has been found, it will not occur again. For now, I can certainly get you a coupon code to make up for that.
Alright, I'll get you a new code that you can use to get a Collector's Edition for just $2.99.
Complimentary coupon codes issued from Customer Support are easy to use and this one expires on Dec 31, 2014.
.
Now that they've discovered the error, I wonder if we're all going to get the coupon for this week's FTP download...
