American Road Trip:  American Dreamin' is being released for iPad this week.

My birthday is Sunday and DH wants to get me an iPad.  Anybody have one?  How do I know which one to get?  I'm not talking screen size, I'm talking GB's.

Since I've been living in my van I've been putting aside the $125/week that I would have had to pay for my trailer rent.  I can hook up to power for $50/week but I've been roughing it.  I charge up everything in my game while we're open and then sometimes at night go hang out with someone who does have power.  Anyway, I've got $375 put aside already and I'm debating what to do with it.  My laptop is a 15 incher and I'd really like to upgrade to a 17 inch, Best Buy has one for around $400 (HP, I think it is); my laptop is also very choppy on a lot of games.   I've also been thinking a better Android tablet or an IPAD but I don't really use my tablet, just mostly to play solitaire on.  Of course I can always just keep saving the money, but I kinda feel like I deserve some kind of treat.  I spent last night in a cheap motel, $45, it was humid, we had an extra day off this week, and I really needed a bath.  I was so hot and tired after setting up today I went ahead and got it for tonight, too.  I don't really have much chance to get one the rest of the summer, so I just won't put aside my $125 for this week, oh well.
I finished the main game of Hidden Expedition Hope Diamond.  I liked the game a lot but didn't love it,  but it could just be my mood.  It had everything I want in a game.  The storyline held up through the whole game, the HOs were different and interesting with morphing objects in them,  the game takes place in different areas with only a few locations in each area so no real backtracking.  The puzzles were pretty easy, that's my only real complaint, so I would recommend the game, it must have been my mood.  The stupid FTPs always keep me distracted.

Thanks Tirama.  Yay, It is the Shadow Wolf Mystery game.  The last one I played was in 1/2013 so need a refresher to remember plot line.

Nice gift from your husband.  I can't help with the ipad since I have a cheapy android tablet.  No F2P games on the android yet. 

Wendy...Good job on the saving.  I know you have to do what you have to, so more power to you and I don't know how you are doing it.  3 days of camping is my limit on roughing it.   Take your time on choosing your treat.

 

All I can say to you Wendy is that you have forgone things in order to save the money so don't settle!  Get what you really want.

I started Grim Tales The Vengenance yesterday and am enjoying it immensely.  I can't take advantage of the SE sale even if I wanted to has I haven't received my new internet credit card.  But I think I got enough the other day!
