Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

Did anybody get anything in the sale?  I can't spend cash so I didn't get anything but I have to figure out what I'm getting tomorrow.  I will be gone all day so I need to get on the ball.

Stupid Patiots lost  At least they made it a lot further than my Buccaneers.

Re: Finish your games challenge - 2014

I finished up Secrets of the Dark Mystery of the Ancestral Estate.  I thought it was really a good game.  Lots to do.  But it would have really benefited from a jump map.  There was a LOT of travel.

Nope.  Didn't buy anything.  Sometimes I don';t even go to BFG to see what the games are.  My next PCCs expire in February.  I have to check and see how many punches I have though.

Stusue,  thanks for the info.  Yes,  "Curse of the Dragons" is the one I meant;  it sounds very worthwhile.  I'll have to think about whether to get it from Gamehouse.  Do you have to join,  and pay every month?
I was with them years ago,  before I found BF;  they ended up not having anything  I wanted,  but it looks as though that may have changed.

Sand, no, you don't have to be a member but if not you have to pay non-member prices.  However, considering this weekend it's 50% off everything (50% off whatever price you'd normally pay) it'd cost you $5 (instead of $9.99) with the code "Favorite".  For members it would be $3 instead of the normal $5.99.

Sand, just in case you wanted to get Legends of Solitaire: Curse of the Dragons from GameHouse, the 50%-off sale ends today, so you still have time to get it for $5.

I finished the first two chapters of Hidden Expedition: Smithsonian Hope Diamond Collector's Edition.  This is a very good game with lots to look for.  I'm taking my time and savouring it.

And of course, I'm still playing ART and AW and loving it.

sunshinej, I've just finished Alice

My playtime, including the fiasco of the maze, which had stupid me stumped (which, with a few restarts again, even after your fantastic advice, due to me doing stupid things like pushing the grass too far so blocking myself ) was only 2:50:46, so under 3 hours.   But I had heaps of fun playing it!    And I think it's a game I'd love to play again.  I might actually try and play it again now, straight away while I can still remember all the HOSs, and jot down all the "Interesting Facts" that were included as I found them fascinating.

Stusue...Me too.  My time was 4:10  I remember leaving the game running while putting a load of laundry in the wash, so I don't know actual game time.  I had more fun than I thought I would with this one.  I liked all of the factoids myself - they were very interesting.  I had a few restarts with the maze too.

No I didn't get anything in the sale and I am losing track of all the games that are coming out.  I used to keep a list of the games, which I don't do anymore.

My son is a Buccaneers fan and was rooting for the Patriots yesterday.  I told him the reason why the Patriots lost is because they gave up Wes Welker up to the Broncos.

I didn't get anything in the sale, either, as I won't pay $ when I still have heaps of credits.  Besides, I have so many unplayed games that I can easily wait for the next BOGOF (always assuming there'll be another one, although both the French and German sites had one the weekend before this one).

If anyone needs a list of games and when they came out, I keep a detailed list of all CEs and SEs and dates, with some comments, if you ever want to know.  And sunshinej, I've also got a list for GameHouse since the beginning of July last year.

Has anyone tried the TGT today, Shadow Shelter?  I managed to play about 30 mins this morning while my sister was showering and I loved it!  It's really eerie and, if you play in the hardest mode (I played in Custom Mode), you get no sparkles and you have to really look around in the dark to find stuff.  It's also really good because you can't click on anything until it's available, for eg, until you click on a painting the HOSs won't be available.  It's more like an adventure game but with HOS after HOS.  But they're both list and sketch and are beautifully rendered but difficult to work out what they objects are - and I loved them!  And, after playing Alice with HOS after HOS, I know I don't mind that if the game's interesting and if the HOSs are really good.  I'm thinking of getting it today on BPM with a PCC.  I just don't know how long it is.

sunshinej, I forgot to say CONGRATULATIONS on finishing Alice.  It was fun, wasn't it?
