lilyr...I hope BFG gets the full version for you, but even with just saving 2  frogs I think you would really enjoy it.  It is very cute and fun to play.  I don't think BF thought this game would be such a sleeper hit like it was so maybe that's why they only got the SE version. 

I was still debating on getting it yesterday with the 40% off sale and talked myself into getting the CE because of my punch card with Gamehouse was expiring soon and didn't want to lose my 3 punches I had on it.

I finally finished a game!  It took forever and I wanted to Dex it soooo many times but I persevered.  It was an old, straight HOG.  I like those every once in a while BUT this one had minuscule objects, the slowest hint refill on the planet and very weird/difficult puzzles.  I found myself repeatedly hitting the hint button and then reading a page while it refilled.  THE MAGICIAN'S HANDBOOK 2.

It sounds like it's one of those games that if BF had gotten the CE, people would be screaming that it wasn't CE-worthy, but because BF didn't get the CE, people feel they're missing something.  If the "real" ending is only in the CE, the smart thing for BF would have been to not get the game at all.  But some people would have complained about that as well.

Today's CE is a sequel, and the one prior to this, while gorgeous to look at, raised the same issues.   The bonus chapter in the first one was essentially the ending.  So if you bought the SE, if I'm remembering correctly, you missed an adventure in one of the paintings and the game finished with a quick voice-over or some written text.
 

Boo Sunshine, I was going to get that ERS Edgar Allen Poe Fall in the house of usher or whatever its called as a SE. Haven't bought an ERS game in agesss but I liked it except for that annoying rat that just sits there and does nothing and I hated all the extras in the CE not that Id buy an ERS CE anyways but now that you said it has a very abrupt ending GRRR thats the stuff I hate about ERS. They don't do it always but a lot of the time it feels like they punish you for not getting the CE. 

Black Rainbow appeared on mac games arcade along with a lot of other games that I want. I am tempted to kill my big fish games membership for awhile not because I am a bitter customer or anything, just because I honestly haven't been fond of many CEs coming out lately and I have sooo many to play & since the fiance is coming and I will be preoccupied, I might bow out for a bit. Im undecided but once I upgrade my mac & get that pc it will open me up to a world of new games not to mention all the LFAs I have n can't play right now...I am going to have to be careful & maybe opting out of it for a bit will help me not go crazy. One can hope LOL 

I am almost done with Viking Brothers and Im undecided where to rate this game. Yes, I am having fun playing it but it is tedious at times. It really reminds me of Kingdom Chronicles which I really disliked BUT the enemy doesn't charge at you like in that game. Some levels are super easy, some impossible. There are definitely better builder games out there...

Also, Tuesday aka Alawar Tuesday...we got My Kingdom For The Princess 3! My only 3 years later! LOL My parents & I just finished watching the show True Detective that was on HBO with Matthew Mcconaghey (spelling? lol) & Woody Harrelson. I really recommend it if you like gritty crime shows that takes a season to solve. Boy was it creepy in parts & I had noooo idea who it was so kudos to great writing and here's hoping Matt wins an award for his role. 

Now Im off to watch Big Bang Theory. Although this show isn't what it used to be, I still enjoy it from time to time. Hope everyone has a nice night xx



 

awwww Thank You everyone for your kind words about me finishing MAGICIAN'S HANDBOOK 2.   I did like the first one (of course I had much better & younger eyes) and found out that the DEV was essentially a one-man operation so I felt that I had to get the 2nd to support him.  I Googled the DEV a bit ago and a webpage still comes up.  

I'm undecided about what to play next.  I'd like to get a HOPA in before ART is updated.  I don't know if I want to do another AWAKENING (I'm so far behind) or LEAGUE OF LIGHT.  Decisions, decisions.

meg -- So what did you think of TBBT?  I don't know if it is from this season but they recently reran probably my favorite episode -- the scavenger hunt where Amy & Howard, Penny & Sheldon, and Bernadette & Leonard get paired up. I pretty uch laugh all the way through that one.
