Yesterday, I'd spent about 90 mins doing a review of Black Rainbow, when Firefox crashed (you know I've been having lots of problems with my computer lately). I'd learnt my lesson with another review and so had kept on copying whatever I'd done as I went along so that I could paste it back should I lose everything. Well, I soon discovered that, when Firefox crashes, not only do you lose your work, but also whatever you've copied just in case! I couldn't face redoing all that work straight away so started on one for a demo - but exactly the same thing happened.
stusue, I have been having a lot of Firefox crashes too, lately, which is so unusual for FF. Very frustrating to say the least. I was in a game on Pogo with others from a game forum I'm a member of and we were working on a challenge together. I had just taken a SS of a result I needed and was posting it in a message to one of the forum leaders when it crashed. It knocked me out of the game but I was so glad I got the SS as it would have meant all my work down the drain. My computer is only 1-1/2 old so wished I knew why it was happening.
Also, been meaning to tell you how wonderful your reviews are. They are so detailed and priceless for the amount of information you give. You should do this for a living; you would be great at WT's, kinda like Margie B did for BFG. Heck, I can't remember sometimes what the game is about, even while I'm still playing it so it amazes me how much you can recall.

Tee, thank you! But don't worry, I can't remember what's going on in a game, either, while I'm playing it so I take notes the whole way through, then try and sort them out and make some sort of sense out of them to write a review. It takes a bit away from the gameplay as I have to stop to do it but it's the only way I can remember anything and write a review. And this way I can also remind myself about a game and what I thought about it. Thanks very much for your very kind words.
And I'm sorry you were kicked out of the game on Pogo! Stupid Firefox, it's been crashing on me constantly for the past week or so. I thought it must have been my computer but now it sounds like it might be Firefox itself, rather then my stupid computer, which is having all sorts of problems of its own.
ETA: I forgot to say that the guy from Cateia games with whom I've been swapping PMs over at BFG asked me yesterday if I'd be kind enough to add a review for Tales From The Dragon Mountain: The Lair if I could find the time once I'd finished it. He wrote, "I don't want to bother you, but it means a lot to us (and probably to other players) to see good reviews for our games. You said you enjoy TFDM 2: the Lair and perhaps, if you catch up with some free time you can leave your short game review and rating on BFG site. Thanks! ". Now, I'm not sure if he meant that my review would be good or that I'd write a positive review of the game (I'd said how much I loved the demo) so he may just want a 5-star review, but I'll take it as a compliment, anyway.

I have played 2 of Cateia's games so far - Hotel & Red Crow Mysteries: Legion. I liked them very much. I have Tales from Dragon Mountain: The Strix as yet unplayed, so I didn't buy or demo The Lair yet. I going to buy it eventually, as I don't like to leave a series incomplete. Just not yet.
Stusue...I would take it as a compliment that he asked you to write a review, if I was you. You have a way with words. Your excitement over a game shows through.
I used a pcc on Monday for Dark Tales: The Fall of the House of Usher. Since I was feeling better yesterday I just wanted to sneak a peek at it and I liked playing it so much I ended up playing most of it. I only have one tiny negative and that is that they changed Dupin's voice. He doesn't even sound French now.
I am also still playing The Lost Crown . Everyone that was doing the group play with me is finished now and I am still about half way through. I really like this game and just being slow pokey about finishing it.
Gardens Inc.: From Rakes to Riches. I am enjoying this game and completely stink at it. Most levels the timer has long ran out. Very few silver and the only gold were the first two levels. Good thing I don't care about getting gold. I just enjoy fixing up the the gardens.

Thanks, Sunshine!
Cateia has lots of games! Have you checked out the list in the Developers Lists thread? I think there are 18 of them. Of those I own, have demoed, or have actually played, the only one I didn't like was Kaptain Brawe: A Brawe New World, which just wasn't my taste. Black Rainbow will be released at BFG in a month and that one I definitely recommend! I loved it! The next one up will be Kingdom Tales 2, and they're working on a few more for release this year.
I think I'll be playing the two Dragon Mountain games next, especially after what Ivan said and asked of me. I've wanted to play the first one for ages but my mind hasn't been up to it. But I think my health has improved enough now that I'm going to go for it!
I'm so happy you're finally feeling better! It seems to have been a really bad cold and really knocked you around.
I love Gardens Inc.: From Rakes to Riches but unfortunately I haven't finished it yet (yeah, so what's new? ). I don't seem to finish TMs as they generally take a long time and so I do some of it and then go play the latest HOPA. However, I've been looking for the next in-front-of-the-TV game and I think that one may just be it! Then the second one, too, of course.
Keep taking care of yourself and get better ASAP, you hear?

I've just posted a demo review of today's Soft Release, Witch's Pranks: Frog's Curse by Shaman Games, which you can find in my demo review thread, StuSue's Demo Reviews. My recommendation is as follows:
My Recommendation Following the Demo of Witch's Pranks: Frog's Curse:
I found the graphics and animations superb, although I found the graphics a tad too colourful and everything a bit big, which would make it a fantastic game to play with young kids. I also found the bit I played too easy, although it was a lot of fun. It's the sort of game I'd love to play but won't buy, so I'll be looking out for it at GameHouse so I can play it with my FunPass.
I'd recommend this game for anyone with little kids or those who want a super easy (at least in the demo), really brightly coloured, fun game with amazing graphics and cutscenes, or for anyone who loves cartoon fairytale games.
I wouldn't recommend this game for anyone who likes dark, atmospheric, challenging games.
.
ETA: I've just noticed that Witch's Pranks: Frog's Fortune is halfway down on the list of games to be released in the next 3 weeks at GameHouse - which means we're almost up to it! Yay!! And it's the Platinum Edition (CE), as is often the case with straight SEs at BFG. I wonder what the extras will be, apart from an extra chapter, as there are already achievements in the SE. Maybe the usual - wallpapers, music, concept art, etc.

I've just been playing the beta for the next Sable Maze game from BFG - Sable Maze: Forbidden Garden. But boy oh boy do I feel stupid! I have no idea how long I played as I was taking notes at the same time and checking every single thing out but I sure didn't get very far! Maybe only 10-15 minutes. Maybe a bit longer.
I got stuck and couldn't see anything I'd missed in the 3 - yes, only 3 - scenes that I'd managed to do. So I checked the jump map and the only thing showing there to do was in the 3rd scene, which is where you have to go through the portal. So I clicked on the Hint button, only to have it circle the bow in my inventory, which had a + next to it. So I clicked on the bow, only to be told I needed an arrow. And do you think I could find an arrow anywhere in that scene, or even in the other 2 scenes???? NO! I feel so stupid.
And that was after having to skip the very first puzzle that's in the very first HOP in the game ... because it was one of those slider ones where you have 1 square missing and you have to form a picture ... and I suck at those. So I obviously wouldn't have gotten the trophy for completing all puzzles without skipping. Stupid slider puzzles. Whoever thought it would be fun to have one of those in a HOP? Especially as the cat was making so much noise, waiting for you to let it out! But that was a long way along the progressive chain in that HOP. First you have to do that stupid slider puzzle.
Okay, so now that I feel like a complete fool I'm going to go and play a bit of something that requires zero thought before watching Germany's Next Top Model then going to bed. Stupid games.

I've just remembered that I forgot to ask something earlier after posting my demo review of Witch's Pranks: Frog's Curse.
As I mentioned in my full review, you get some avatars in this game, which are downloaded to your computer. Is there any way I could use one as my avatar here? Unfortunately, it's on my computer and not on the net.
Thanks!

It's official. April was the absolute WORST month for me since I've been keeping track! I bought 8 CEs and 2 SEs. I only finished ONE game. Since that was a replay I don't count it.
Thanks stusue. WITCH'S PRANKS sounds exactly like the type of game I'm looking for -- bright, fun, funny and easy. I'll get it Monday with a PCC. I'll be taking a look at the 1st DRAGON MOUNTAIN too. I have that one -- unplayed, of course!

But you did achieve a lot in your free to play games. I bet you'll do better in May since the free to play stuff won't need as much attention.

I went to dl today and yesterday's demos and Witches Prank is gone. Wonder what that's about?
